You can change them after a game though so you can use Paige one game and then the next you can use Willy mays or Jimmy Rollins for example

The biggest problem with using a pitcher as a wildcard is that you need to leave him as your wild card for 3-4 games without using him so he can regenerate stamina. In other words, you can only use him every 4-5 games while keeping him locked in as your wild card. Seems like a waste.
