The BEST & WORST Hotel in Disney World -- Yacht & Beach Club Resorts 

sometimes i feel like im doing well financially, then i check WDW hotel prices and I'm reminded Im in poverty 😂 back to pop century I go

Now breedlove needs to get a shirt made that has a picture of fry bucket wearing a breedlove shirt. Shirt-ception.

I stayed at the Yacht Club for my honeymoon a few years ago and it was the perfect stay for an adults only trip! Absolutely breathtaking and romantic

We love yacht club and beach club. Epcot is our favorite park, and you cannot beat the location of these resorts. The rooms are very nice-the pool is amazing!-plenty of dining options-but the location takes the cake.

Yacht and Beach Club is a wonderful hotel. The pool area in summer is a destination in itself. The view walking around the lake/grounds at night with the boats on the lake and all the lights is stunning. The Yachtsman Steak House was incredible and Beaches and Cream is such a trip! However, I stayed pre pandemic and prices were half what they are today. I feel the prices are outrageous right now as well as all the issues with Lightning Lane and charging for rides in the park. If they were to go back to the pre pandemic prices and bring back Fast Pass, I would go every year. Until they make those changes, the cost of the rooms is far too high now.

I just came back from there last week. This was an adults-only trip. I had an amazing time and absolutely LOVED Yacht Club. The maybe “I don’t belong here” feeling went away very quickly. 🤣😂 Best pool I could ever wish to be in at Disney, that’s for sure. That, the 3 min easy walk to Epcot and the overall experience makes it worth going back to for me. I sure AF didn’t pay more than ~$450 a night because of when I booked.

Yacht Club is my favorite Disney hotel and has been since it opened and I’ve stayed there so many times Yachtsman Steak is also my favorite place to eat!!! I’ve stayed a lot at Beach Club too but it’s my second choice. Cape May used to be great not so much anymore. When the first opened they said Yacht was a New England theme and Beach aLong Island theme .

The location and pool are top notch, I wish beach and yacht had more theming. I don’t need heavy IP, but with that pool, we go with the kid and the room is just…a room. We also stay at animal kingdom and the room theming there is amazing by comparison without being over the top.

YC is my absolute favorite resort on property and I've stayed at 88% of them. It used to be my go to resort but it started getting too expensive so I would just stay at any of the 3 WDW resorts that was cheapest. Then that got too expensive so I started staying at Swan/Dolphin. I love Swan/Dolphin and you can't beat the prices and they are semi-deluxe resorts. But, there really is a difference in a Disney Deluxe and Swan/Dolphin. I stayed at BWI in August, sort of a last swan song thing so I went all out (it was actually less than doing a split stay with Swan/YC because I had an AP discount at the time). I felt the difference in BWI and Dolphin as soon as I walked in the lobby. My least favorite of all of them is BC. As was mentioned, you aren't guaranteed a full balcony there and if I'm paying that much I want to get up in the morning and sit on my balcony with my cup of coffee, even if I'm looking at the parking lot. I also like the adult feel of YC over the family feel at BC. I don't go to SAB any more, but I love the smaller adult pools and the fact that those have hot tubs, bonus.

I’ve never paid that much to stay here I’m a Florida resident and passholder though. I usually find standard rooms around 400-550 club level is normally 700 I usually look on Disney site for discounts

I (family of 5) have stayed in Beach, Yacht, Poly, Grand. We LOVED Beach. Everything you said is true. Walking to Ep is priceless. Pool is a MAJOR factor for kids. Storm Bay is the Best! Boardwalk right there. Walk/Boat to Studios. IMO, for families, Beach is the best Epcot area hotel. Poly is the best MK area hotel (loved Grand, but Poly more kid friendly). Animal best ‘other’ hotel.

Stayed once. at The Yacht Club and was totally under whelmed with the theming, the food options and the stuffiness of the resort. Only two things going for this resort is the pool and the proximity to EPCOT.

There is no resort (Disney or not) worth that kind of coin per night. I'd rather stay at a moderate resort and save $250 a night, then use that money savings to hit a couple signature restaurants during my stay. Same cost and you get 2 topline dinners added.

Actually, Boardwalk was priced higher than the Beach Club & Yacht Clube Resorts when I booked my upcoming trip.

They are wonderful resorts. I spent my honeymoon at the Yacht Club. But $$$$

Yacht Club was always our favorite hotel prior to buying into DVC. You simply can't beat the location, though the complaints about lack of QS dining options are deserved. Stormalong Bay is the best hotel pool on property and we loved taking a mid day break in the pool. Now that we are always using our DVC points, we've missed being able to stay there. Beach Club's DVC villas are extremely hard to get into if you don't own there for more than a day or two here and there. Still, we find ourselves wandering over there on an Epcot or HS day if we want a break from the parks. We love that area so much. Come on Disney - add a DVC section to Yacht Club!!!
