From Kendrick Lamar and The West Coast, to Future and Atlanta, and Drake and Toronto, we are looking at the best and worst rap cities... Check out Kalshi: kalshi.onelink.me/1r91/fantas...
I’ve been saying this for years dude has no sound we literally don’t know what Toronto sound is he doesn’t even embrace his own culture it’s sad asf and steals other people’s sounds he ruined Toronto’s music sound!!!!
Drake has been stealing identities from different regions..he has been a Jamaican, Atlanta guy and a guy from London..we don't even know the Canadian sound💀💀
I think So Far Gone, IYRTITL and Views capture the Toronto sound. Toronto is heavily influenced by Jamaica so that part actually makes sense but London is just him trying stuff.
As Jamaican-American, Jamaicans don’t like Drake. Not Like Us is top 5 songs in Jamaica rn. He copies our culture and accents for his own benefit. If I asked Drake what Ludi, Dancehall, or Carnival was he’d by confused smh
Name 5 new artists from the west coast, Cali sound is shit and has been staying the same since the 90s. I’ll name one of the 5 for u, yeat, and he does not embrace that sound whatsoever
You mentioned Trippie Redd instead of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony who's actually from Cleveland. We gotta start gatekeeping on who can report on Hip Hop man 😂
NYC isn’t what it once was but there’s some on the come up now. As an elder nyc veteran it’s dope to see artist like KDot in Cali carry on the essence of what hiphop is in the meantime. So many dope lyricist outside of nyc now. When I was young there was only a handful. Most was in NYC
Cudi just isnt putting as much effort into his music as he used to now that he's getting more involved in other mediums like acting, fashion, and comic books. Cudi kinda shot himself in the foot with insano by making it wayyy too long. if he trimmed the fat off both albums make it solid 12-14 piece and tack on 5 or 6 more later as a deluxe or EP i think would have been way more successful. I gotta say even as a Cudi fan myself seeing headlines he was dropping 40+ new songs didnt really excite me. There's nobody i want 40+ new songs from lol
Bruh this. Cudi having new music is great but that album is LONG. 12-16 is perfect. MGK… he went pop. Trippie, I ain’t listened to shit of his. I’m to old 😂
I’m from Memphis and you low key did us dirty bruh !.. u named all the trash rappers smh you didn’t name playa fly eight ball mjg etc 🤦🏾♂️ u lost me with this 1
People sleeping on Dallas heavy. BigXthaPlug, Jayson Lyric, Coach Tev, Tye Harris, Devy Stonez, Hyndrix, Eddy Dre, Nojo Wallace, Jay Tre, Sincerely Esco & Scuttino are just a few of the incredible talent that this city has to offer.
Brother I'm gonna challenge you to not use "The West Coast" as a city. Is it LA, is it the Bay Area, is it Seattle, is it Vegas? Cuz like, if we're gonna use Kdot as a benchmark for the new state of WC rap that's fine, but it seems like lately it's mostly LA rap that's popped off lately. The Bay Area is being held up by Saweetie and E-40 rn and I don't even know what's going on outside of California.
Trippie Redd is from Canton Ohio and canton's not in Cleveland but hey don't talk about Cleveland like that I'm from Cleveland we got Bone thugs in Harmony 😂😂😂😂😂
If Memphis or Atalanta ain’t on here delete this whole entire video cuh We got artist such as Dame Mufasa, Supa Glock Bros, and Austin Cruz putting on. They’re some standouts from the city that deserve more attention especially on a platform like this. We have a HUGE underground music scene here.
@@ToH1ZZL3 a battle rapper who always comes through with the punchlines I suggest you check the song “Bars Is Back VS Da Energy” out where he battles himself and he portrays two different perspectives
I’ve never listened to Trippie Redd but after seeing the hate videos he has on this platform imma have to give it a real listen as he apparently bounce around genres and that’s part of what ppl don’t like oddly.
In Cleveland's defense, rock n roll was really our time to shine 😭 still got some insanely good rock bands and artists coming out of here but uhhhhh yeah the rap scene around here isn't much ngl
@@bjarkerugsted7539 Louisiana: Lil Wayne, NBA young boy, Kevin Gates; Vegas: baby keem, stunna4vegas; st Louis: Nelly, metro boomin, sexy red, Huey, chingy; Kansas city: tech n9ne (still the #1 Independent rapper in the world), krizz kaliko
@@bjarkerugsted7539 I can tell you not Hip Hop NBA youngboy Kevin Gates Fredo Bangz all from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and this boy that made this video he's not hip hop either so he don't know what he talking about
I remember when NY was always first mentioned in lists like this… now it’s the last…. Crazy how the decades moved on. Im glad is giving unity to the West that we haven’t had in a while!
Me being from Chicago has a bias towards it but everyone who had that grunge street rap talent is dead. Underrated rappers like Young Pappy, LA Capone, FBG Duck, etc are gone. Lud Foe doesn’t drop anymore…that’s what killed us off
Detroit will ALWAYS be Detroit because we really don't give a fuck about what nobody else is doing enough to change what we do. I love that about my city. It gets on my nerves at the same time, smh...
I’m not going to be that guy, but shouldn’t the worst rap cities be like the ones where there aren’t rappers at all? Like who’s the last rapper to come out of Cincinnati, Nashville or Indianapolis? Like shouldn’t something like Salt Lake City be a lock for the worst rap city?
