No Alan Wake, 2010? I had a stint with Motion Capture for vid games (almost face of Leon in new RE :)) and gotta hand it to Remedy, they've outdid themselves with the seriously fluid, accurate animations and movement choreography, interesting plot and cutscenes direction, but at the same time it was not an interactive movie as many of modern games are.

I remember Gears 2 online being abysmal! Especially in the early stages. The bullet lag was the worst I have seen in game, seeing you character shoot across the map then 2 seconds later see bullet holes appear under your feet. Truly awful.

FYI throughout the video you kept saying Senua's Sacrifice (the first game) when it should be Senua's Saga (the second game). ✌️

Xbox has so many franchises it'd be great if they'd try their hand at a Smash Bros-style crossover.

It is too bad the live service elements, charging for cars even if you bought the car pass and the ruining of trucks being in the game with the lack of the TRX and Raptor R bring Forza Horizon 5 down so much.

I’ve never actually felt it necessary to critique someones way of presenting. Now, it’s also important to emphasize that my reason for doing so isn’t to be nasty or mean..even though it might be perceived as such. It’s just that it sounds like you’re trying to say as much as possible on every breath only to then lower the pitch of your voice as well as slow down and draw out the very last word of that same breath..is well very, VERY distracting. I mean it’s quite frankly an inexplicably weird cadence that detracts as well as distracts from the actual content of a video which there’s obviously some hard work and love behind. Considering that at times that..weird cadence falls off for a natural sounding way of presenting/speaking to break through. It might be worth trying to pace yourself with how many sentences you say on every breath as well as drop that lowering the pitch of your voice that’s combined with that weird drawing out of the last word of certain sentences. That’ll make the videos more easily digestible as well as enjoyable. 🫶👋✌️🖖

Online gaming circa 2007 was truly amazing. Gears 2, MW and of course the goat Halo 3. I don't think we'll ever see a peak like that...

Not picking Gears 1 is very interesting. Even Oblivion was better than Dead Rising imo but can't say Dead Rising wasn't an important game I suppose. To each their own! But Gears really pushed the system forward imo

Despite being a lifelong PlayStation fan, I will defend Microsoft's consoles as worthy contenders. The Xbox was more powerful than the PS2. The 360 was easier to make games for compared with the PS3. Despite the One's rocky launch, the One X improved upon its flaws and was more powerful than the PS4 Pro. Microsoft could do better in the exclusives department by treating their franchises and games with more respect and coming up with new original IPs instead of stealing existing ones. Still, Gears of War is one of my absolute favourite franchises, and E-Day will be my excuse for buying a Series X console

I own Splinter Cell on GameCube. I wouldn't call a few months of exclusivity enough to force out other deserving actual exclusives.

Halo 1 is still the best. Even if Microsoft screws up everything else, Halo should return to prominence. Screw CoD, tool brand for Activision.

Forza holds nothing to GT, the engine swap thing is a nice idea but engines just don't slot into a car.

Yeesh you can they fell off hard after the Xbox 360. Good games are highlighted but crazy how many of their flagpole IPs are out of the conversation and almost no AAA titles. No wonder they bought Bethesda and Activision Blizzard.

How long was Mass Effect 2 even exclusive?

While I like Hellblade 2, it’s too early to proclaim it best Xbox game of 2024, especially with Avowed and Indiana Jones still to come out later this year.
