I saw Steve Mason in Montreal a few weeks ago. A tiny tiny venue with a capacity of 120. Utterly brilliant performance even on a tiny stage with one other musician. I got a photo with him after the show. A real honour. I never saw the Beta Band live and this was the first time seeing Steve live. He is a real musical genius. An utter superstar. 😍😎
when the crowd started singing Dry the Rain, it made me shed a tear. its beautiful how people come together to sing their favourite songs. Unity for all! thank you Beta Band :)
The Beta Band is hands down one if not the most UNDERRATED rock band of our time...they are just incredible.....How is Radiohead super famous and these guys not get even half the attention especially here in the USA. Way ahead of their time I guess!
Thank you for saying this, yeah I totally agree with you, not many could get there head around their music which broke rules and barriers, what a band. Saw them in Brighton just after they bought out The Beta Band album and they started with It's not too beautiful, still remember the excitement when all you heard in the darkness was that opening riff. Sorry I've rambled but thanks again
It will bro! I can't watch Dry The Rain when everyone sings at Shepherd Bush, I embarrassed myself in front of the kids last time, talk about emotional. Still, that the beauty of Music eh.
One fine day in 1999 I had a great Saturday out in London when I went to see Pavement at The Astoria, and earlier that afternoon the Beta Band filming a video at a nearby venue. Kept having to duck out of the way of a camera swinging full spectrum from the ceiling on a cable, mad Scottish herberts. Had the tastiest ever veggie sausage rolls ever after the Pavement gig. Terror Twighlight tour. This video is tops, great sound 🎯
Spot on Assesssment there @SecondLifeAround! Hands down the best band of the last 20 years, especially live but also always innovating out the back door on record. And this is such a great live recording! I saw this band about six times at festivals and on tour over the years. I’m gonna play this out tomorrow on the lockdown streaming jukebox I set up for my mates.
