Caution here : the previous owner of my 981 GT4 must have taken that plastic triangle off at some point. When refitting they mangled the receiving rubber seal under the triangle and / or broke the tab that slides down into position. HOW? Anyway it came off while I was washing the car and buying a new plastic cover did not correct this due I think to the mangled rubber. The triangle refused to sit correctly so hit the frame of the car when closing the door (and when opening too). Car needed a whole new window guide, that's long component that runs deep into the door. The top rubber part is that you can see sticking up out of the door. THAT requires totally stripping down the door (not just the door card) and re-aligning the glass etc during re-assembly. A body shop is doing that now for me. I hope it all works out!! Not cheap either. So. I will never, ever mess about with that little piece if cheap plastic ! No matter what the wind does.
Looks better than the plastic version. Note that there are a few CF versions that are replacement and not stick on, in case someone is looking for CF versions.
I can’t say I’ve noticed wind noise windows closed either way. But the car is kinda loud. I’m wondering if you windows are closing completely? Even a poorly sealed windshield will make for some extra noise.
Another fantastically produced Porsche video Danial! Hello Anson and Phillip, How about a better mounting option for the Garmin Catalyst? I would like to mount mine in from of my stereo screen on my 981 GT4. If not enough room there, possibly just to the right in about the glove box /drink holder area. It would have to come in under $200 so not to over engineered and its mainly hidden by the screen itself. I think the wind foils look great but I think $149 or so is more appropriate. Just my thoughts ;)
Hi thank you for your feedback. Two popular ways I have seen Garmin mounts are the rennlist phone mount with the ball attachment or Tablet mount from T Design. The later option is really clean but you lose all screen function including your reverse camera.
