if you listen to it again some you'll notice it's a robotized translation voice non English speakers use to pump out this BULLSHIT. Seen it time and time again, and yes they get grammar and pronunciation wrong.

Jed is Jed Clampett, Jethro is Jethro Bodine. Granny's real name in the series was indeed Daisy Moses. Just everyone called her Granny. It would not have been right for the narrator to go into how Sharon Tate actually died. Such a tragedy would have been inappropriate for this clip.

@@_Julaine You are correct that I wrote Jed Bodine when I meant Jethro, but let's not be so quick to let the narrator off the hook for his ignorance. Anyone purporting to present a podcast about a television show from the golden age of TV SHOULD be able to demonstrate a modicum of familiarity with said show, rather than just having culled from Wikipedia or a library book for his content. He still pronounced Jethro's last name incorrectly, which was my first clue he was unfamilar with the show. Have YOU ever heard anyone pronounce the character's name as "Jethro Bodeenee?And yes, trivia buffs (myself included) are aware that Granny's real name is Daisy Moses, but she was NEVER called that on the show, another clue that the narrator had read somewhere that Irene Ryan's character was named Daisy Moses, while seemingly being unaware that she went by "Granny" every single time. You may think it innapropriate for the narrator to mention that Sharon Tate was murdered, but the title of the piece was clear that it was about how "all the cast died tragically." Sharon Tate did not simply "pass away" as he claimed. That doesn't sound like the tragic ending that gripped the entire nation at the time. Neither was it "tragic" that Max Baer was still alive at the time of this piece. I realize it sounds like I'm nitpicking, but when I tune into a video that purports to tell me something about the show that I might not have known, I really don't expect to have my time wasted by someone who was clearly completely unfamiliar with the show or any of the characters on it. I almost never downvote a video, but this one was laughably innacurate and a waste of the viewer's time. There are too many people creating videos directed at us baby boomers who do it just for the clicks and the hope of making money. This guy deserved to be called out on it. My advice is he should stick with topics he knows something about.

@@rockwaterman I have watched many of these videos and almost all of them have some kind of error in them. I just watched the one on Gilligan's Island where they were talking about a person yet had a picture of someone else. Yes, you cannot use these as a learning experience that's for sure. It seems you have to know most of it already and hope you get a tidbit of something you're not sure of and hope it's right. Have a good one!
