That intro was the best intro ever. I love how no one held back on laughter when they were seeing this classic for the first time. I playlisted. Thank you RU-vid for recommending this to me as I rewatch the whole show for the second time.

It's not the only episode to mention Elly's mother & Jed's wife. Remember the one where Granny tells Jed about when she trained his horse to stop under the elm tree when he was on a date in a carriage, with Rose Ellen, so he would propose marriage?
