The Quran the sunna and the Hadith define Islam. According the the latter Muhammad was a slave trader and he used to loot the caravans of non muslims. He worked as the servant of a rich old widow and later he married her. He also married a six year old girl and also his own daughter in law after forcing his adopted son to divorce her. Inspite of this Muslims say that he was the greatest man who ever lived. If anyone does this today the police will arrest him.

May be Christian scholars didn't consider him worth their time. This man had a one point agenda - to misuse the freedom of expression granted to him in free societies to discredit Christianity. If he read the Bible, he did it with ulterior motives - not to seek the truth. His mind was cast in stone just like most of his co-religionists today. You cannot debate meaningfully with such a person. I challenge Islamic countries to revoke their apostacy laws and grant full freedom of expression to other faiths as they enjoy in non-Islamic countries.

First of all the Pharisees criticize Jesus for not washing hands, Jesus washes hsi hands daily, It was his disciples. When his disciples felt hungry, they ate food without washing their hands. May be they may not eaten for long time. For washing hands they may have to walk a lot to reach near a well. Eating food without washing hands is not a sin, but Pharisees likes people do everything according to traditions and laws. With too many rules they put a lot of burden on people. They neglected God’s commandments so as to keep their on merely human traditions. Jesus was against it. Showing mercy to a man is more important than follow human traditions. That’s why Jesus told that nothing that goes into man from outside can make a person dirty, but what comes out of man make him dirty. If you are too much hungry and if there is no water to wash your hands, what you will do? Sit without eating food? I don’t think so. What really important is - Quran tells you to follow the teachings of Torrah and Gospel, in Al-Ma'idah surah chapter 5 verse 68, like I have pointed out. You can consult Christian, Ex-Christian and Muslim Scholars other than Deedat to get the right perspective. However, if you remain adamant that despite knowing that we have no info of any Gospel Writers, and that Bible carries a bulk of errors, contradictions, changes and immoral material then it's your choice. However, as a fellow human being, I will recommend you to be open minded and rational while studying and analyzing Bible. Mocking Christianity can't prove that Islam is Right. It's the Rationality and Truthfulness of the Message that can convince anyone. However, Islam is what Allah has said in Holy Quran and How Holy Prophet PBUH Explained and Exercised it and how Companions Adopted the Message. Deedat or any other Muslim Preacher or Scholar is there to introduce you to Islam and not to force you to agree without understanding and conviction. They can provide, logics, rational explanations, comparisons, evidence and other supporting materials but they can't convert you. It's only you and your will to seek truth that can help you.

However, while reading Quran (and hadiths) carefully and critically it's clear that there are holes in this understanding. Allah was indeed the God of Quresh tribe and the chief god of the Arab pantheon. But the belief of Quresh indeed was that he had daughter goddesses. Mohammed himself at a certain point crafted the faith allowing for intercession of these goddesses (you may call them Satanic verses). Perhaps later with a better understanding of Judaeo Chrstianity he saw the problem of reconciling Islam with Judaeo Christianty with this kind of a belief. Also militarily he was more secure and less reliant on Quresh by then (unlike earlier). These natural theological evolutions while perfectly logical, rational and common sensical does not fit with Judaeo Christian world view. What difference would there be between Allah and Baal for us? Baal was worshipped by certain tribes in Canaan, Allah was worshipped by certain other tribes notably Quresh, Yahweh was worshipped by the 12 tribes of Israel (all at the same times). The problem is that Judaeo Chrsitian theology would not allow for taking Baal (or Allah) and replacing Yahweh with him. As per this religion Yahweh is THE ONLY TRUE GOD, THE LIVING GOD, rest all are imposters and mere myth. Any attempt to put any of them in the place of God is blasphemy of the worst kind. (Read what happened to the priests of Baal during the times of Elijah.) If a broad minded approach on God was / is possible then it was possible to spare the believers and priests of Baal. And it would have been possible to co opt Zeus and reconcile with Greeks. Or co opt Parameshwar and reconcile with Hindus. None of this is poossible and therefore Allah cannot be co opted either. You see when you make the claim that Moses and Jesus prayed to Allah, it is plain wrong ... it's falsification.... they prayed to Yahweh... the God of Israel... the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. You see the Old Testament (all books - Torah, Prophets and Writings) in the present form (though scrolls) was available to Jesus and he accepted those and read from those in the synagogues. Not a mention of Allah in those. Not a mention of Mecca / Kaabah or a temple there.
