For the Pyro, Prism means the overmold is translucent like the proton plastic, Plasma means it has a metallic sheen to it. Huge congrats, so excited to see you throwing these discs!!
Before Christmas I dyed a Deflector from my bag like your 1st run PD. Never would have guessed you would be throwing for MVP. If you want the deflector I'll send it to you. Congratulations! Can't wait for what this season has in-store.

@@davidrasmussen2528 a little dramatic don't you think? 😅 don't knock gyro and overmolds until you throw them, I have several mvp/axiom discs just because of how they feel in my hand cuz I'm 6'7 and my hands are a bit bigger than most but they also have some slimmer molds for more normal people but their designs are undoubtedly unique and worth a shot
Congratulations Simon!! I love the proxy!! Lots of variation in flight by plastic. I carry a soft neutron which is approaching envy stability but a little more workable and more distance potential for me. I think glow is similar. Have fun with that new bag!!
This is so amazing! I couldn't be happier knowing Simon is throwing so many of the same molds that I've fallen in love with!!! I'm sure the Photon will make an appearance in his bag eventually =D I cannot wait to follow one of my favorites athletes on his new journey!!!

Definitely recommend trying out the 14 speed line up too! Being bagging a Delirium and a Dimension as my main distance drivers, they are not as beefy as you would think feel wise and flight wise, good luck on your journey with MVP!
There is no other midrange quite like the Hex. Truly is amazing, and so cool to see that it's your first signature disc. Will be buying it for sure! Welcome Simon!
My Claymore is my favorite disc in my bag, but as it beat in, the Hex has become the glorious straight replacement to fill that slot. Buzzz doesn't even compare
@@DnBGolf got the special edition skulboy hex and it was way more understable than my buzzzes. Only reason I didn’t bag it. I might try a stock one out.
@@unloughfulgaming same. I was super excited about Hex at release then equally as bummed when the first one arrived and it flew like a too seasoned buzzz that needs replacing.
@@holygeezer3369 10 year contract (matching McBeth's for the longest contract ever) which secures consistent payment for all of his 30's. Wouldn't be surprised if it was 750K per year or more as well. As he is married and has a baby, this will set him up great for constant consistent work and probably allow him to save a bunch for his kid and life after this is over

But then I do understand that MVP does other things than just disc golf so I guess it does make some sense. I was just a bit surprised when it was announced as MVP. Thanks again for all the replies.

@Simon Lizotte , on one of your visits MVP headquarters, you should make a little road trip up north to Traverse City. The disc golf here is pretty nice, but the summer weather, water, and atmosphere are the best.

I've fallen into MVP over the years and am so excited to see what he can do with the brand. Also, @Simon, I highly recommend grabbing an Entropy as a utility putter. Extremely overstable and almost no glide. Great for tricky chip shots and flex approach lines.
I have to say, it's awesome to see your thought processes selecting these (especially coming from Discmania) and it's great to see some variety finally! I've bagged the Matrix and Wrath for a while now and am shocked they are not more popular. Up this comment, the beefy octane that Simon Is looking for is the MVP Dimension. It is the Octane for wind or power arms. It took me awhile to get one because they were sold out for so long but they are perfect, can't play without em!
This feels so different, but I'm so happy for Simon. Finally he has a company that can actually provide him with a variety of discs. I'm sure it's overwhelming now, but the way he'll be able to fill every slot he needs will be huge for him.
That's always been a sticking point for me with discmania. It feels like they have 4 really good discs and then a ton of other stuff that nobody cares about.
I've been playing with mostly MVP for about 5 years, I love their discs. The grip, the quality, the variety, they really have something special going on and innovated a product that I dont think had much research behind it for a while. Congrats Simon, you're the best in the game man!

in may it will be 20 years of me playing disc golf, I grew up outside of Detroit so played Discraft and Innova alot then MVP/Axiom 2 years ago when i moved back to Mi for Las Vegas. ive never felt discs that i instantly loved as much as discmania. i cant wait to see the future and the new discs.

Two years ago I picked up disc golf again after a several year hiatus, and I immediately took a liking to Gyro and built a whole bag around it. Getting into the sport even more, I started watching pro coverage and immediately became a Simon fan. I read every lab report MVP posts and I watch Simon’s uploads the same day he posts them. It’s seriously quite the understatement for me to say that these are the two largest reinforcements for my love of disc golf. But they’ve always been separate. I reserve a fairly high level of masculinity in my life before people; friends, family, coworkers, strangers. That’s just who I am. But I turn into a giddy little fangirl whenever Simon plays well, wins, has exciting news, or when I see someone bagging Gryo plastic. All that to say that this video made me cry. 😂

While I would have loved to see you throw DM plastic for the rest of your career I am excited for this new venture for you. One of my favorite discs is the Paradox. It's capable of some incredible hyzer flip shot shapes and sky anny's for getting over tall trees when you don't want it to fade back. Fun disc to throw.

I feel the same as you about the proxy and envy. I had a really nicely beat in baseline envy, and when I lost it, I slotted in a brand new baseline proxy and it flies almost the same. Dead straight, right off the shelf.
