Sir Patrick was a friend of mine and my kids spent a few Saturday afternoons at his home,a perfect host and a truly wonderful man, even when he was really poorly he spent time with my kids ..my 8 year old sobbed his heart out all last night on thenews Patrick passed away.
The brilliant, one and only Sir Patrick Moore. A great friend and total celebrity who first hit our screens in April 1957. He's in good form here and I know from personal knowledge that he always game for a laugh doing wonderful things like Morecambe and Wise, Two Ronnies (though Ronnie Barker played Patrick on that occasion), The Goodies, etc. I believe this clip is from Big Breakfast in the early 90s?
They don't make 'em like this anymore - such a shame - used to love this when getting ready for school - but even if I was an adult , I still would find it funny - great times - great upload - you got any more ?
R.I.P Sir Patrick Moore. Only read today he was a navigator in bomber command.... balls of steel them boys....if they stayed alive long enough....upmost respect.
R.I.P Sir Roger, legendary Astologer..... I mean Astonomer . 4 March 1923 - 9 December 2012. PS. OMW how ginger was Chris Evans's hair back in those days lol
He looks so old here but God it's nothing to how he is now...Look how active he is in the video...It must be almost 20 years ago...I love watching The Sky at Night but he'll be missed greatly when he passes....
Astrology- What a load of old bollox... Astronomy- what a load of mind blowing stuff!! Sir Patrick Moore is an amazing bloke and can be very funny too!!
