Have you done a video on thrush? Especially embedded? Because this seems to be a bit of an issue with estrogen - how to deal with GSM and thrush, and does systemic also exasperate it?

Wow, incredible video! You are a wealth of info, Dr. Babb! Thank you. There’s one thing you said that surprised me. You said that Intrarosa (I’m assuming you’re speaking of the vaginal suppositories) is systemically-absorbed. But I have always understood that Intrarosa is local absorption only-like Imvexxy, Estring, Vagifem, etc. Would you please clarify for us? I’d also love to know which is your fave vaginal estrogen for post-menopausal women with GSM who have a lot of urinary issues. I’ve spoken to many women with GSM who have seen dramatic improvement in urinary symptoms from Estring. So is there one that the bladder and urinary system as a whole better responds to in your experience?

Thank you for pointing that out! I actually meant to say local, not systemic. You are exactly correct in that Intrarosa only affects the local tissue. In terms of a favorite…oh man, there are so many good medication‘s. I probably use Intrarosa the most because I like the fact that it breaks down onto the testosterone as well. That said, I’ve used them all, with great levels of success.
