Things to do in dorset. I took on a 22km hike from Ferndown in Dorset to the edge of Ringwood forest to get to a location we visited 1 year ago today. Holt Heath National Nature Reserve. This is one of the most ignored landscapes in Dorset, sadly, but does make for a solitary hike. I pass through the edge of the new forest, the Castleman trailway, and several industrial estates to get to a safe location to poorly use a Dji drone for the first time.
