Jeff Stanfield & Andy Shaver are joined by waterbird ecologist, Josh Osborn. He currently conducts the aerial waterfowl survey at the Forbes Biological Station in Illinois.
The guys discuss Josh’s path to where he is today from working in a nuclear propulsion plant in the Navy to going back to school to work in wildlife. They look at the shift in migration that has taken place in much of the Mississippi Flyway, and Josh shares some of the science that goes into the aerial survey.
