Jimmy Walsh (who wrote the music and lyrics) played drums for Joe Dolan went to New York and was playing classical piano and also played The Phoenix Park on Miami Beach, playing guitar and singing and drew a packed bar there owned by another Dubliner, John Berry. The resident singer at that time was Cahir O' Doherty. Jimmy's dad worked for CIE in Dublin.
