Great video. Wonderful narration. I can visualize hundreds of family and friends just having a nice day at that site, thousands of years ago.💕🌿🍁🌱

Absolutely beautiful. This was a huge settlement. Where the big rock fell off. At 15:12, and 15:30, there are more food prep bowls and some other things built there on the right, The best shot is at 15:30. I definitely, would have loved to live in a place like this. The big rock, to the right of that, has bowls on it too. What a lovely spot.

Yet another phenomenal video! Thanks for illuminating the ways of the ancients; and please do not permit the naysayers to dissuade you from continuing on your journey. You exhibit the height of respect for the native peoples of the area; and through your work their stories are told. Mr. McCracken's opinion should be considered...but not permitted to rule the day.

Thank you Alex for presenting this fascinating narrative of the peoples of the oaks. Not far from the old Spanish failed empire, Monterey capital when the Californio's ruled the settlers. For a brief time. The natives lived in abundance and harmony in a stone age dynamic, while the modernist Spaniards starved while waiting for their supply ships. I saw on the news that large Stone jars had been discovered in india, reminding me of your video about the Laotian valley of jars. Just fascinating stuff, thanks again sir for posting

Ola! I have a different historically literate perspective. No I do not condone the Jesuits, nor the “ Manifest Destiny,” of the New England Policies, or that anyone group has ever “ Controlled the San Joaquin Valley’s Sacramento River’s Delta’s SF Bay’s Natural Maritime Agro Logistics System. Certainly not the Portuguese Spaniard’s nor the result of those Empire’s collapse. Nor did anyone Control or Ruled the many cultures that fall into Pioneering Californio’s of Californasia. Nor did I/ We arrive to destroy 1799-1801, 1844-46, 1851 AD August the Last of thy Families Traveled over land. Just Prior to declaring the Bear Flag RePublic. Post arrival in 1638 AD ( Officiially perhaps a few had been here before) North Carolina Venture Capitalist Re Colonization. No Ire/Scotia arrived to re create a “ New England.” Here I/ We all are at the Time when the Unionist Federalist Mercantilist Landed Gentry Torrey’s have Collapsed, under their “ Empire of Hubris!” The Big Valley and the Slunbering Bear has been awakened. While the Fires are cleansing the destruction of the misuse of the Natural Resources and to live symbiotically with the Land’s of Fire. The “ Indigenous” people’s in Californasia where practing “ Forrest management.” Within this land of abundance and 13 Climatic Micro Macro zones. While the technology of the “Horse,” waswreaking Havoc upon the Plain’s Tribes. Thank you for opening this up to Objective Scientific Journalistic Discourse Upon Common Ground@. The Rural Agro Tech Decarbonization Re Evolutionary Process Land Retention & ReVitalization@ Program underway. Thank you for the discourse. If I may, Michael Cremo the Forbidden Archeologist has much solid Objective Tangible Scientific Data. That places Human’s in this Part of the West. Millions of years back. Again Thank you. At the In N Out in Monterey, theres a rock with indentations that look like shallow mortars, its in the drive thru on the left side, im sure it was placed there purposely by the builders or owner as a tribute or something to the people before us.. its not a big rock.. Only reason I noticed it is beacause ive seen your videos..

The one rock(monolithic outcrop?) that has "sanded down" flat places also appears to be a pockmarked boulder. Pockmarked boulders are theorized to have some ritual significance, perhaps in memorializing the dead and providing powdered stone to paint one's face white in mourning.

You are not Native and the locals do not approve of your you tube channel. These are sacred grounds that should not be displayed on you tube for your own self recognition I or we are trying to figure out why you need that recognition? And you will not respond to any emails.

Thank you for sharing your personal opinion. Below are two other Salinan opinions regarding these videos: Te'po'ta'ahl... as a decendent from the tribe, I became very happy when you left the mortar rock in its place, and i wish for good fortune tofall upon you. Thank you leaving the mortar stone where it belongs! Much love brother! God bless you! May great things come your way. Hi alex! Thank you so much for this video. I am actually 3rd generation Salinan Indian, from the Xolon Tribe specifically. My mother told me about the cave writings but I never saw how it actually looked, it's beautiful! It's so cool to know where my ancestors come from. You know the government to this day, even with evidence of bones and everything that you saw, doesn't consider us like they do for example Pechanga indians, sad isn't it?Thank you for your admiration and dedication, it is very appreciated!

@@storiesbyalex Maybe answer your emails to have a better discussion over the phone then we can go from there. Those are only two people thanking you over all your videos from direct decedents. Lets maybe get the perspective of the tribal leaders like " Little Bear" whose lands you expose for your own recognition . And yes I understand you have freedom of speech and press and some lawyer brother. But take a step back and understand the impact you may cause on these sacred lands . Sure you left artifacts very glad you did as you should. But you expose these lands to many and those that follow your maps may not leave those items . Those items need to be returned to the tribal leaders for safe keeping for future generations .
