China's nine-dash line claim was invalidated by the Permanent Court of arbitration at the Hague in 2016. China is among the first countries who signed the UNCLOS in 1982 and ratified it in 1994. But China refuses to follow the rule based order of UNCLOS and rejects the arbitral court's' ruling to pursue its belligerent expansionism.

I don't get this Andy, connecting the harassment of the PRC to our fishermen by unilaterally imposing threatening rules on the WPS ( by the way not your waters, excuse me, you have no right to our domain) to the PH relationship with the US as a 'crumbling wall'. I'm sorry, but this Andy is a zombie. Then he says, "How do you resolve the difference?" He pretends that this is unresolved. The PH already did, and the Philippines won the arbitration. China doesn't have the legal claim to PH waters. China's 9-dash or 10-dash line has no historical or legal basis and is null. This interview seems to me unbalanced. They allowed their guest's views with no challenge at all. The guest stated his country's side well, but these two ladies did not even bother to state our country's claim eloquently. Stating your side professionally and assertively does not violate any rules of communication. I would rather watch CE( former ANC host) conduct this interview, or maybe RL( former secretary) and I'm sure it would be worth watching. What a shame and very disgusting!!!
Why China refuse to arbitrate if they think they have the document to show proof in international court. They think they can drive away small countries since they became stronger militarily. They will not even sign the maritime good conduct because they know they can prolong this problem until they get stronger militarily.

Under the 1900 Treaty of Washington, "all islands belonging to the Philippine Archipelago, lying outside the lines described in Article III" were also ceded to the United States as part of the territory of the Philippines, where Scarborough Shoal, the Spratly Islands, and the rest of Tawi-tawi was included.

Philippines government have the right to request and ask help US and other allies countries for the defense of the Philippines EEZ due to the fact that china is not recognizing international law or UNCLOS and China imposing their local law within Philippines EEZ illegal
The Philippines is not totally leaning with the US.this is a false impression. The Philippines is currently improving the military force. Certainly as as small country we had sought help from our old friend and alliance, history tells us lasting relationship of the two countries.

Mr Mok is basing his arguments if china owns the area but its not. Philippines historicaly has proof of owning disputed areas with the older Velarde map against stroke of a pen by china creating dashes on a map. Therefore, Mr Mok position in the issue is inaccurate. Chinas ambition is to untseat US in worlds leading military that is why it claimed and want to militarize this part of the world. That is the clear issue here.

West Philippine Sea cannot be called disputed area of the sea since we already won the arbitration in the Hague. China is invading our territory and our territorial waters. The interviewer should have strongly disputed this Andy Mok's narrative. The only narrative that should have been pushed here is our right to our sovereignty. Interviewer should have invited an analyst that favors the law on the seas also to balance the interview.
