Did you make it to Glasgow while you were in Scotland? Being from the west, I've always felt much more at home in Glasgow than Edinburgh.

I got to pass through it on my way to the highlands a couple times. But definitely not enough time! It looks like a great city

@@katieblake Glasgow's a great place to live. Maybe not quite as pretty as Edinburgh, but there's a lot going on culturally and has more gritty vibrancy to my mind. Have you been looking at masters programmes in the UK at all?

Hey! I just got accepted and I'm headed to Edinburgh in the fall! I was wondering how you kept in touch with your family (calling/texting) with your American phone? Also did you set up a UK bank account to make payments easier for items? Thanks!

Hi, even though I'm not Katie and I didn't go to Edinburgh, I'm an international student in the UK and I think I can help you with that. To keep in touch with people, I video call my immediate family every other day using WhatsApp, it works wonders and is completely free. Moving from a predominantly cash-dominated country to somewhere which is as cashless as the UK, I decided to set up a bank account using the Monzo app, which is a really good online bank that works internationally too. No set up costs or anything like that and it's really flexible. Would highly recommend that.

"No offence, but you look like you read books." Lol! Maybe they meant you looked traditional and classic in going to the paper based version instead of going to ebooks or RSS feeds that bring the updates straight to your device. (Or, if you're Hans Niemann, straight to your butt.)
