Give me all the peated Islay scotch whiskies and next the Campbelltown expressions!! Nothing does it for me like peated scotch! Love, love, love it! I have a huge appreciation for many regions but Islay and Isle of Skye - Talisker - are my truest loves! I am big into bourbon casks and peat these days!! Great video! Cheers!! 🙂
Bourbon casks and peat is a banging mix! Have you had the Laphroaig 16? That is the one I have always been pointed to but yet to try it. Cheers for watching!
@@JeffWhisky Yes! Jeff if you can get a bottle of Laphroaig 16 it's spectacular! Delicious! I think you would love it! Love your channel!! Happy weekend!! Hope summer is going along nicely!! 🙂
Loved this one Jeff. It's always great to see what other people are drinking. I picked a few new ones up at Bristol WF, an incredibly fruity Mannachmore 15 CS and an 8yo Ardnamurchan CS both SMWS bottles and also the standard Ardnamurchan CS. Had a good day but the space was too small even though the number of displays was low. I don't think it will be a revisit next year.
Cheers ITABIYP! Was gutted that I couldn't go to Bristol WF, messaged on instagram and they said they was releasing more information to only have the tickets set to be unavailable. Heard from a few folk that there wasn't a lot there at all and a struggle to get a dram at times. Fingers crossed it was just an off year. Cheers!
A lambay fan from Ireland here. There whiskies are light and fun but nothing insane. I much prefer their single malt to their blended small batch. Woody and fresh, the cognac influence is pretty strong. I've spoken to a few reps from the company and apparently the distillery is set to start construction this year or early next year on the island which is exciting. I'll be very curious to see what their actual distillate makes over the next five-ten years or so. I live barely a ten minute drive away from where you can get a boat to the island so I'll definitely be keeping an eye on their stuff.
Great to hear some insights for the Lambay bottle, looking forward to getting to it soon. Fingers crossed everything goes well with their own spirit, while it feels Irish may be in a little lull now, think it will be booming in a few years. What is your go to Irish pick at the moment? Cheers!
Top effort Jeff! Love all the funny clips throughout. Had me worried there when you were flipping some of those opened bottles that the cork might pop out. You've got a good collection there, quite a few that aren't available here or if they are they are stupid prices. I've only seen one retailer with Campbeltown Loch and it was $139 NZD (approx. 65 pounds). Cheers!
Once you mentioned the printer in the bottom right corner i couldn’t stop staring at it… and that’s where you put the “subscribe button”… GENIUS move ….. 😂 Great video! Love your style mate!
haha I was sure I moved it out of screen till I started filming staring at me! Glad it had a use to lure people in Cheers for watching and supporting buddy! How does your whisky horde compare?
@@JeffWhisky Thanks for your reply! I have about 60-70 bottles… Only 3 non-scotch (a bourbon, an Indian and a NZ whisky). Need more world whiskies! Also just 4 or so closed bottles. I definitely drink more than you…. 😂 Oh and i have a golden shirt wooohooooo!!!!
Hi Jeff. Love your videos especially all the film clips and the sheer honesty of your comments. I'm trying to condense my collection but with 750+ bottles its tricky, with 20 open and 30 in the queue to join the shelf. Mostly scotch with a few irish, no welsh and a small english grouping. You might like to try Filey Bay or Wire Works as the Lakes is a bit pricy. Looking forward to catching your v pub session while Roy is away on holiday. Cheers mate.
Thanks for the kind words! The clips help give a little breathing space to break up seeing my face constantly it always helps I got years of clips just rolling around my brain. That is a impressive collection, what are you stand out bottles? Filey Bay is something I need to dive into more, epically their STR release. Cheers for watching!
I have it in two seperate baskets at the moment and have seen it is running out in a few places now. I am currently debating grabbing the Deanston 18, so fear that the KK will have to wait. Unless I see another Port Cask KK, then I am all in! Cheers Alan!
Hey Jeff! I’d like to try the Cotswolds Whisky! You need to try the Wire Works (White Peaks) Port or Madeira expressions from the Peak District!! Amazing! Can trade some samples !!
I agree with you about the Redbreast 12. The nose is fantastic. The taste is too dry end empty for me. I havent tried the cask strenght yet, but maybe soon. And I also agree with your comparison between the two stout casks. The Teeling steals the show over the Jameson. I think I bout the last bottle of this teeling in my country. Hope to have it for a while.
Glad it is not only me on Redbreast 12. Fingers crossed you can try the CS, it is a completely different bird! Cheers for getting involved and enjoy savouring the stout cask!
Wow. Tour-de-force JeffWhisky! Half an hour flew by, what tempo. I was spellbound. It's a fun collection you have, lots of obviously great mixed with the weird and sometimes for me unknown. Now to get you into pronunciation school. -just kidding. Stay you.
Thanks for the kind words Tobias! I really tried to keep the editing super tight and learned alot about "J cuts". I swear my pronunciation is getting so much worse as I get older! Cheers
I really need to return to it. Last time I had it felt a little limp so hoping this bottle will set the record straight. Is the Victoriana your favourite Glen Scotia? Cheers for watching!
Great insight into the whisky you. Thought you might have had some Thompson brothers in with those blends. Agree with you on the Port Charlotte 10, cracking dram👍
Thompson Bros are always in my basket but sadly I haven't owned a bottle. I want to grab their Tesco looking one but yet to find a "Jeff Deal". Have you dabbled much with Thompson bros? Cheers for watching and supporting!
@@JeffWhisky not tried yet but have two bottles sitting at my brother's in Yorkshire, the TB/BSW 6YR & SRV5 8YR. Can't try though until I fly over for nephews wedding in may. Also want to try that compass box orchard house, sounds like a cracker.
Cheers buddy. Yeah I really need to hurry up and get it popped. I am hoping there is a good deal so can buy the new style bottle and drink that one. Really like the old look!
Cheers Major Nut, I still have some bottles on the floor and get flashbacks of the mammoth task of filming it. How does your Whisky Hoard compare? Cheers.
@@JeffWhisky Well, I have went a slight shopping spree this year, trying to stock up and get bottles everybody is talking about. I have also become a slower drinker, but I do not have that big of a collection. Wife always tells me thou that I do not need more bottlesat the moment 😇😂
Hi Jeff, an out of control hobby,I know where you’re coming from. A rather nice collection. As always an interesting, humor filled video. Thanks for sharing. Slàinte Jeff
@@JeffWhisky Ooh good question, got a few bourbons and a few Irish whiskies but mainly scotch single malt (surprise surprise). Put it this way I’ve got enough bottles that will last me a very long time at my current rate of drinking , probably too many.
Glad to see a black bottle there! I was wondering if it would show up. Alchemy series only for me now with them, pay to win? You must know some other black bottle lovers haha I thought I was in the minority with this brand 😂 loving the kilkerren selection!
Yeah, have been infiltrated by the black bottle, I have debated by buyer more too. There seems to be a lot of praise for the Alchemy series so you are onto the right stuff buddy!! Cheers for watching.
Cheers Sean! I have tried the Green Spot and a couple of their Chateau releases which have been good but not tried the yellow or blue. Which would you say is the better of the two? Cheers.
@@JeffWhisky I personally prefer Yellow Spot for taste & price but even that’s creeping up nowadays. Blue Spot is a big hitter at 58% at 7yrs old, but it’s getting really expensive and plenty of very good Scottish whisky can be had for quite a lot less. If you have a chance to try a dram of Yellow take it. You won’t be sorry.
So many unopened bottles, how do you hold back? 🤣 I agree with your point about the Bunna 12, my last bottle wasn't great but the Stiureadair is always consistent. Thanks for sharing 🥃🥃
Cheers for watching Nick! Yeah it is about 40% opened and could easily open more but being quite a slow drinker I would fear a bottle being open too long and would start to dimmish in quality. Some do jump the queue and get popped straight away. Glad to hear it is not just me with Bunna! Have you got your own whisky horde going on? Cheers.
@@JeffWhisky You're welcome, I enjoy your content. I do have a whisky horde, some 100+ bottles with only about 3 or 4 unopened. I'm not bothered about some bottles being opened too long, but I do make sure all are well sealed and kept in a cool dark cupboard.
Cheers Peathead, how does your collection compare in size to yours? I envision walls and walls of peated delights held up by some lovely thick wooden shelves. Cheers
@@JeffWhisky Collection: about 60 on the 'open shelves' (and yep. wooden and self made). And then the to-be-opened in the cabinet. Amount of peated is limited, think around 15 open... or so.
Nice whisky collection! I noticed (and you said it as well) you have a lot of port cask whisky. Which one you would recommend to someone who hasn't tried any? Thanks
I will do! I am on a little opening streak at the moment. Popped an 8doors, a Kingsbarn and a Kilkerran this week alone! Cheers and congrats on being the first to have the GOLD SHIRT icon!
@@JeffWhisky Good on you man, i I can see plenty of space in the shambles! Happy popping! I'm stuck in a 1-in-1-out system, and I'm trying not to kill bottles for the sake of - been burned before by opening something and it being disappointing. And holy moly! That's awesome. Can't believe it's been that long already. Congratulations to you too dude!
Think you may need to get that looked at Alan haha I have been on an cork popping streak since this but I need to find more time to drink! How many is in your collection? cheers for the support
