So great to see this! I was the voices of Johnny Rotten, Tiny Tomato and both pinto AND soy bean; winners of The Big Yummy! Shout out to Randy at Theta Sound. He did a great job recording and mixing the show! 😊
Whoa! You wouldn't happen to have the Health Royale showtape, would you? It was a slightly later COSI project that was basically Hollywood Squares but with animatronic organs based on celebrities.
We don’t have the audio yet, but I have some pics and clips of it. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t actually at COSI in Columbus but designed by that same group of people? Unless multiple museums had it. What info do you have regarding Health Royale? Curious what your POV on the show is.
@@PasqAnimatronics I think it was either just at the Avampato Discovery Museum in Charleston, WV (Clay Center) and maaybe COSI prior to that? I definitely remember it was at the Clay Center by 2004-05 and was there for a pretty long time. I managed to save a script I found on some site (can no longer find the site oof) like a year ago- you got an email you'd like me to send it to? I remember getting a huge kick out of it as a kid, though it felt like most of the time the same questions and answers came up even though I know there was many others that I saw for myself. The game had a really simple GUI for the players, basically just two touch-screen monitors with a grid, art of the different characters on it, and an agree/disagree menu whenever they asked one of the celebrity organs a question. The Clay Center sold shirts with the character art on them as well- can't imagine we have ours anymore but they were super simple, just art of one organ with the name below it. No idea if the character art is still floating around somewhere, but I remember it looking pretty cool and dynamic. I'd look into contacting HolyJuan if you haven't already- he worked on both this and the Big Yummy. I remember him mentioning early in the concept stages that there was a plan for Mrs. Lung to have a cancerous Mr. Lung but they decided not to because it was a bit too dark for a kid's thing. For character voices (afaik most/all voice acting was outsourced for both projects), I remember Brain having this woman's voice with a slightly robotic filter (think Transformers: Cybertron's characters), Queen Intestine had a Monty Python vibe and was a source for fart jokes. Slim Pickit was a cowboy who sung songs basically just about picking your nose and would sometimes sneeze (no actual "effects" besides him shaking and the audio). Most of the voices are pretty much what you'd expect- celebrity parodies/impersonations. Anyway, I'd love to see what stuff you've found on it! I've pretty much just found old blogger pics of the bots and nothing else, let alone even video haha.
This show is super cute! I love Leche, not only is he funny, but his design reminds me of Epcot's Fud Wrapper from Food Rocks. I love anthropomorphic food characters [for the most part. I hate Sausage Party], from Veggietales, to the M&Ms spokescandies, to the California Raisins, to Stew Leonard's characters like the Farm Fresh Five, to Kitchen Kabaret, to Food Rocks, to vintage cartoons, and this show as well! TBH, I want a plush toy of Leche.
