One thing I learned from Call Of Duty is, if you do not see a character die, that character probably still alive you never know.

@@Deathmare235I actually have this wild theory where at the end of MW3 Zombies, once the outbreak is over and the Mercs have withdrawn from Urzikstan, Fletcher kills Zakhaev with a knife and then he uses the Staff of Ra to revive Victor and indoctrinates him into Terminus Outcomes, which is revealed to be the cult from the Chaos storyline from BO4, which was sort of integrated into the Dark Aether story via VG Zombies when Kraft Mentions somewhere that Atticus Rhodes was his personal hero. Very crazy theory, I know. But wow, wouldn’t that be a crazy twist?

My theory about the JFK assassination is that Mason didnt kill him, but was in fact associated with the one who did (Oswald in historical accuracy). This is referenced in the mission where Mason finally breaks free from the chair and you hear him say "Oswald... compromised!" However, Mason himself didnt pull the trigger that killed JFK, but Dragovich, who programmed Mason to do so, didn't catch on to that small detail. This is why Dragovich said "Tried??😈" before Mason chokes him to death, with Mason unaware if he really did it or not. There must be something that happened that proved Mason didn't kill JFK before 1989 during the Panama raid for Mason to confirm that he didnt kill JFK by responding to McKnight saying "they gave it their best shot" when McKnight asked Mason if he really got that fucked up with the numbers. To dumb it down simply, TLDR, Mason didn't kill JFK, but Dragovich didn't know that. He heard Kennedy died, but only thought Mason did his job at the assassination but was in fact someone else This campaign was, in my opinion, the darkest campaign in all COD history, on a psychological level

Fun Fact - During Battle Of Stalingrad , renzov's right hand was injured and later in Seelow Heights, his index finger was cut. Meanwhile in black ops 2 the person who came to rescue Mason, woods, Hudson and Zhao who was assumed to be renzov have it's index finger. So it is quite confirmed that Renzov wasn't there, it would be some Mujahideen who didn't accept Raham Bretayal so they came to rescue them
@MiniMik3V
@MiniMik3V 8 месяцев назад
I can't really see that tbh but I will throw an idea though, remember what he said at 11:47 "Keep in mind it isn't Alex Mason telling the story it's Franks Woods" So Woods has never met Reznov until blacks ops 4 and that part is whatever not important. But since he's never met him, he wouldn't have known about his index finger being cut at all. So when Woods is telling David this story he assumed Reznov has his index finger like most people. Again just an idea because we never knew how they truly got out of that mission exactly, and maybe that's how Mason got away from Raul Menendez for so long by using Reznov's tactics to avoid being tracked by Dragovich. Again just a theory but a very interesting talk.

@MiniMik3V
@MiniMik3V 7 месяцев назад
@@SpecialOperator The only person who said he was dead was Hudson and he's not really a reliable source since he kinda shares the samething that Adler does which is do whatever is necessary including lying to people. I do think Reznov could have been in Afghanistan because of Kravchenko, maybe hunting him down for his revenge after finding out he lived somehow. I know Reznov was a sniper so he would know to have patience & timing since we saw that back in COD: WaW with him talking with Dimitri. I know don't think he lived up to when 2025, he was probably dead then but during that Afghanistan mission given the fact he would have been 73 years old then there could been a chance still. I believe he could have saved them, Woods & rest could have been unconscious at the time. Reznov could have talked to Mason since he was still conscious and told him how he avoid everything including being the dark. But Hudson is a CIA Agent maybe if he was awake he would have to kill Reznov or capture him but that's something I'm not sure. My reason being is what Reznov did to Mason, he toyed with his brain when he was being brainwashed a bit which could cause some issues with the CIA Program since it's Mason was their agent. He could have found out their secrets or other things that Mason been apart of so maybe he would have to silence Reznov. That's why he left them before the rest came too, as well he did have a friend that was with him when he should up to save Mason & them.
@SpecialOperator
@SpecialOperator 7 месяцев назад
@@MiniMik3V How would Hudson even know? He wasn't even there when Reznov supposedly died (in Vorkuta) Plus Mason never told him Reznov was dead. Probably just Hudson wants to convince Mason that Reznov is dead to stop Mason's halucinations and obsession, regardless if he is alive or not.
@MiniMik3V
@MiniMik3V 7 месяцев назад
@@SpecialOperator Yeah that's what I said Hudson was worried about the Nova 6 gas at the time. So him lying about Reznov death would make sense to break Mason out of the hallucinations. But what I was thinking from the emails with him & John Trent aka Reznov. I believe he would be alive, as well believe Hudson might have a mission to kill him maybe because of his interfere with Mason's brainwashing. Because Hudson knew that was Mason was brainwashed & knew Reznov somehow sabotaged it. Again they knew Mason was brainwashed but they don't know if Mason gave out any secrets while being brainwashed during his time in Vorkuta. So they might have to silence him if he is alive as precaution if he knows anything they previously done, of course they know Mason wouldn't ever do that to his friend but Hudson would do it. Hudson & Adler do whatever they deem necessary to help the US keep secrets, Plus depending on how things went they might have believed Reznov made a death threat to JFK with the email especially after JFK's Death. Which I don't think he was but he was trying to scare him or he knew it had to happen in order for Mason to go on and kill Dragovich. But if you read that email after JFK died they might believe he had something to do with it from their point of view. But I never said Reznov was dead I only said he was dead during the 2025 story because of his age he would be far passed the 100's. As well they know what Reznov looks like and everything since they had his file. So him being in Afghanistan during 1989 hunting down Kravchenko would make sense. As well knowing Mason he do anything to protect his brothers like Woods. So If Reznov did show up and save them during Black Ops 2 most likely Mason would have told Reznov that he was being hunted by the CIA. Which Mason wouldn't kill him or even capture him since they are close, he probably let him run. Now when Hudson, Woods & the rest came to they probably were confused on how they survived. Mason didn't lie he said Reznov saved him but of course since Reznov wasn't there they would have easily believed that it was Mason's mind was tripping from being brainwashed. But I believe Mason would have done this on purpose if Hudson & The CIA were hunting him in case Reznov was alive.

I believe Mason did end up killing JFK, or was at least a second shooter, simply for 3 reasons. 1. He has a flashback of pointing a gun to Kennedy to kill him. 2. When he kills Dragovich he says “You tried to make me kill my own President” and Dragovich responds with “Tried?” hinting that he did in fact do it. 3. When he’s walking through the CIA building in Revelations, he’s constantly having flashbacks which he makes remarks about. One of which he says “Oswald compromised” hinting at Oswald getting taking into custody after JFK’s assassination and also hinting at his involvement since he knew about it.

The thing I hate about new Cods, is they get new actors for no reason. Sure, getting a new Price actor made sense cause they wanna do mo cap and shit and the OG actor is an old man now, but Mason, Woods didn't need to be replaced at all, James C Burns even said he was disappointed he didn't get asked back and wanted it. If they bring back Reznov in future games he most likely won't be voiced by Garry Oldman and the character will be a watered down version. Just look at Makarov in MW III, he doesn't even look like a villian or suit the Makarov role, Cod ruins characters with this rebooting garbage.

The biggest question that I had about this game was what events actually happened and what events were just in Mason's head, that is the genius behind this game, it's not just an FPS game, it's also a psychological thriller to an extent. It's also cool how Mason's visions of Reznov basically give him strength and helps him through desperate moments.
@dariusdafigga
@dariusdafigga 3 месяца назад
Gotta admit, it is very possible that Reznov is alive based off those emails. I never played BO4 tho so I have no idea about the story behind that record but has anyone ever noticed how after Mason jumps on the train then turns around for Reznov, you can’t actually see him in the truck? Given that no one else from the CIA was in vorkuta with Mason, they would only know what happened based on whatever he told them. Mason is most certainly an unreliable narrator during that time and that mission is most certainly played from how he remembers it. Now I’m not too into wild conspiracy theories but another thing that has bugged me is the fact that we can hear Reznov very clearly when he is supposedly across the tracks, in a truck with the windows rolled up. Being directly outside of a train would make hearing someone yelling even just 10 ft away from you hard to hard clearly. The only way this would make sense is if we are actually hearing his speaking in Mason’s head there What if Reznov was never actually in that truck or used it as a decoy and found another way to escape then went into hiding all those years? It would definitely make more sense than him somehow escaping after him getting surrounded by all the vorkuta guards in the truck and could still allow for everything else in the video to be true

Hudson is very much a liar and manipulator, so the fact we only learned of Reznov's alleged death from Hudson, it makes sense to remember Hudson has alterative motives. In that case it was getting Mason off his obsession with Reznov and focused on the numbers. As the emails showed Hudson could have figured out John Trent was Reznov and it influenced his decisions to tell Mason that Reznov never made it out of prison. Will be interesting if Treyarch is interested in bringing Reznov back again in the next games since Reznov will be nearly 100 years old during the Gulf war. My father was a musician in Stalingrad. During the German occupation, the sound of his violin filled the air with magnificent music - Korsakov, Stasov - many of the great nationalist composers. To my countrymen, it was a symbol of hope. To the Germans, it was a symbol of defiance. Even now, his music still haunts me. The Nazis slit his throat while he slept. Collaborating with any Nazi is a betrayal, a betrayal against all of Mother Russia . One of the best back story ever still gives me chills

“Reznov is dead, all those appearances were in Mason’s head.” First, that doesn’t confirm he is dead. It means Mason believes he is dead and can’t cope with that idea. Second, that doesn’t explain Reznov in Afghanistan giving them the supplies they need to survive, Mason can’t conjure these things from thin air, and the Mujahideen were not close by. Third, every major character that dies in call of duty has it happen on screen, either mid mission or in a cutscene. At the very least there’s some kind communication where they get cut off because of an explosion or collapse like with Sandman, but usually in those cases they survive, like Woods and Krevchenko exploding off screen and both surviving. Even Dimitri, who we play as in WaW, we see die on screen next to Reznov from the nova 6 gas, a character not nearly as important in BO1. Fourth, as Cold War has let us experience, memory implantation is regularly performed by the CIA on agents, be it their own or ones they captured, and it’s highly likely Hudson brainwashed Mason when he returned to make him believe Reznov is dead, since Reznov is a communist, and therefore would be seen as a threat to the higher ups at the CIA, who have a vested interest in maintaining capitalism. They can’t have an agent compromised by having a communist ally.
@dariusdafigga
@dariusdafigga 3 месяца назад
Gotta admit, it is very possible that Reznov is alive based off those emails. I never played BO4 tho so I have no idea about the story behind that recording but has anyone ever noticed how after Mason jumps on the train then turns around for Reznov, you can’t actually see him in the truck? Given that no one else from the CIA was in Vorkuta with Mason, they would only know what happened based on whatever he told them. Mason is most certainly an unreliable narrator during that time and that mission is most certainly played from how he remembers it. Now I’m not too into wild conspiracy theories but another thing that has bugged me is the fact that we can hear Reznov very clearly when he is supposedly across the tracks, in a truck with the windows rolled up. Being directly outside of a train would make hearing someone yelling even just 10 ft away from you hard to hear clearly. The only way this would make sense is if we are actually hearing his speaking in Mason’s head there What if Reznov was never actually in that truck or used it as a decoy and found another way to escape then went into hiding all those years? It would definitely make more sense than him somehow escaping after getting surrounded by all the Vorkuta guards in the truck and could still allow for everything else in the video to be true

Everyone talks about Reznov not missing a finger in black ops 2 but the story is being told by Woods and he tells what Mason had seen, but the reason Resnov looks different is because Woods never saw him and hadn't seen him since he lost his finger, so its not impossible that was actually him even with his finger still being intact

This is a great video the only really contradiction with the Reznov being alive because of Black Ops 2 scene is Call of Duty Waw. In one half of the Waw campaign Reznov is a provident side character. So assuming Reznov was younger in those games that take place during world war 2 like in his 20s or 30s during the time he would have saved the boys in bo2 Reznov would have been in his 60s or 70s and the age he has in that scene doesn’t reflect someone who’s basically a senior citizen at that point.

I know this video is about Reznov but I still find some similarities between Reznov and Perseus from Cold war. When Bell finally meets Perseus after betraying Adler's crew, Perseus wears very similar clothes that Mason wore at Rebirth Island to kill Steiner for revenge. Reznov was betrayed by dragovich and Kravchenko, while Perseus had hiss allies including Bell who was betrayed by Arash. Bell was brainwashed by the CIA to find Perseus while Alex Mason was brainwashed by Russians. Idk why, but I think Perseus might come back in black ops 6 and give more background to him.

One thing I noticed with Black Ops 2, is that "Reznov" shows up after Mason, Woods, and Zhao were betrayed. This event happens right after Kravchenko was killed. Sure, Reznov couldve been a hallucination, but it could also have been Reznov himself. He couldve been watching from a distance. The reason he knew where you find you was because he was tracking down Kravchenko, and Mason just so happened to be there. Reason he didnt stick around after saving Mason in BO2 was because he wanted Mason and himself to move on. Reznov's goal was complete, and felt that some things are better left unanswered. He was a man of mystery to begin with. Plus, with him not answering things, it would always keep Mason thinking about him, and the memories Mason had made. Reason he didnt join in the fight was because he was too old, and the battle against Kravchenko was intense. If it had been a more strategic fight (like the sniper duel in WaW), Reznov may have shown up. Regardless, this doesnt prove he was the one to rescue, just something i thought of and explained the potential reasoning
