Yoasobi is a group mainly run by Ayase, the composer, and Ikura, the singer! Their main theme is "making novels into music". Their most popular song is Yoru ni Kakeru/Racing Into the Night, which is a certified bop with a pretty messed up short story it's based on (Thanatos no Yuwaku, by Mayo Hoshino). They've made Kaibutsu/Monster (the second OP of the Beastars anime, but you've already reacted to someone else singing that), Gunjou (based on the Blue Period anime), and many other songs based on novels/short stories like Seventeen, Sangenshoku/RGB/Three Primary Colors, Tsubame/Swallow, and Halzion. One of my personal favorites is If I Could Draw Life/Moshi mo Inochi ga Egaketara. This song, Idol, is rather unusual for them in style and Ikura doesn't often rap in such an upbeat style. I'm not entirely sure what Ikura does apart from Yoasobi, but Ayase was and is a prominent vocaloid artist who's created songs such as Cinema, Cynical Night Plan, Ghost City Tokyo, and SHOCK! (Buddy Daddies anime opening). Ayase's covered all of them with his own vocals (labelled self cover) other than Cynical Night Plan, so if you're not used to Hatsune Miku singing you can watch a cover.
This song was indeed made as an opening for that idol anime you were speaking of. The series is called Oshi no Ko, and it talks not just idols but all of the entertainment industry. It touches on it's innerworkings, and a lot of the horrible things that occur in relation to it. It has incredible writing that perfectly balances it's hopeful and artsy feel, with that of a suspenseful murder mystery. If you like DDLC you'll love this. Just like I loved this reaction! Note: (If you ever choose to watch it, the pilot episode may seem long at 1h:20min, but the payoff is immediate. And another great song from the artist is "Romance")
Yeah if ye do decide to make a go at the show itself (it's not a long season), it's absolutely worth it. It was rated one of the tip top animes of the year for good reason. Great music too, given the role of pop music in the story.
Once you know the meaning of the song, it'll change everything you know about it, and I highly recommend that you learn about it. Watch the first episode of Oshi no Ko, and try your best to go in blind. Trust me, this is the ONE song I would recommend to anyone to learn the meaning behind it and watch it again.
I'm a little late to the party, but this song is the opening to the anime, Oshi no Ko. I highly recommend you check it out! The characters, story, animation, and score are all incredible! The Real Akiba Boyz are actually also a dance group and they released their dance video to this song like earlier this week or last week.
If you love things like DDLC then you'll love Oshi No Ko. That's for sure. Hearing you talk about how you love creepy cute things made me feel more "related" (is that the word? The opposite of relatable?) than any other thing I've experienced. I literally have a whole list of things written down that give me that same twisted feeling as DDLC. (not quite the same thing as creepy cute, but close) I highly recommend a manga called Fujimi Lovers if you love things like Oshi No Ko or DDLC. It's pretty short, so it doesn't take too long to read, but it's also just long enough to get you invested.
Great reaction!! About the title of the song it is "Idol" pronounced AI-DO-RU in Japanese. This is an op for the anime Oshi no ko, it is a new one,so good, very recommended. I recommend you to check: By YOASOBI Yoru ni kakeru (Racing into the night) Gunjo (ultramarine blue) Romance If I could draw life Kaibutsu /Monster. (Beastars op2) Tabun (probably) And Oshi no ko ed "Mephisto" (only audio version) by Queen Bee (great band too). Important disclaimer about Oshi no ko songs: don't watch op and ed lyrics or visuals until you watchded at least the 1st episode if you don't want spoilers Well... have a nice day and greetings 😁
Some of there best songs are, If I could draw life, RGB, encore, Tracing that dream, Love letter, the blessing, the first take for Comet (much better than the studio version), and Racing into the night. Are easily there best songs!
If you are looking for more music recommendations, I would suggest Home Free “Man of Constant Sorrow”. They are a very good accapella group. If you want something weird and crazy I recommend Baby Beard. They are a Japanese Heavy Metal Idol group.
This song is from the anime "Oshi no Ko". The idol is called Ai Hoshino. The song is about her life as being an idol. She always smile and pretends to be perfect. She says she loves her fans, but that's a lie. So she sings cute songs for them and hopes that the lies someday will become the truth. Now she has two kids, Aquamarine and Ruby. 🙂❤
If you haven't seen this godly anime Oshi No Ko, then you need to give it a watch, i highly recommend you that you at least watch the first episode to give it a watch.
@@Drakester671 Well what i meant that most casual people won't watch it cause either they are 2 busy work so they don't have time to watch it so they miss out on, or their daily life won't give them time 2 watch this AMAZING ANIME 😉, THE OPENING IS A BANGER OF A OPENING SONG.
4:25 There's actually an option to choose what language you want the captions to be! Even if japanese pops up at first it's worth checking to see if there's an english translation.
