Could listen to simon all day. His passion is unbelievable. Would love to fish with him. He is so humble and down to earth.

I remember the Pendle view bigun being twenty something pounds, when they sold the stock I often wondered where the big common from Pendle view had been sold too. I can't think of anyone more deserving of catching the bigun at a massive weight of 64 pounds plus than Sir Simon Crowe. In my humble opinion the greatest carp angler to have ever cast a line. Even greater than Rod Hutchinson, Terry Hearn, Jim Shelley, Pete Springate etc. What an interview, what a humble man and incredible angler . What a list of big fish captures. He helped make carp fishing accessible to all of us through his day ticket series in Carpworld with Rob Hughes. Most people don't realise what a contribution to carp fishing Sir Simon Crowe has made to Carp fishing .

Crowy is one of two content provider/Anglers that I will watch..I'm mid fifties...grew up with the same writers and characters as he did from very early 80s onwards and enjoyed his stuff with Rob Hughes in very early Carpworlds (still got them all from edition1)...I love the fact that he doesn't mind reminding people about the need for etiquette...and pointing out the absolute lack of it now....and above all his common sense no bullshit bells and whistles approach.

Imo if you prebait and the fish are scoffing the bait with confidence most rigs will catch, my only advice is find a rig that nails the carp and stick with it.

If you no wear the fish sit in winter then try putting the bait in around November and you got to keep it going in every 2 days for all winter around 2 to 3 kg a day and do it the same time and look at the time you have runs as you no bite time thean and you have fish out all winter but if you stop putting bait in for 5 days the fish will thean stop feeding and just hold up and just feed every fuw days or just sit there but the hard work is trying to do it with no one seeing you and you need to do it on lacks wear not manny people fish it in the colder mouths
