Here's the biggest challenge for #Rotary and other service clubs, according to author and speaker, Michael Angelo Caruso.
"By definition, a club treats its members better than outsiders," says Caruso, a lifetime Rotarian.
This culture keeps visitors and guests from getting the attention they deserve. It also keeps #ServiceClubs from growing their #membership.
Michael recommends giving guests EXTRA attention before during and after the the meetup.
BEFORE the meeting, establish positive expectations and show interest in registrants.
DURING the meeting or Zoom session, spotlight the newbies. Give them a chance to participate and encourage them to speak up.
AFTER the meeting, follow up with your guests. Thank them for coming, invite them back again. Incentivize them to return if necessary.

Michael Angelo Caruso is a lifetime Rotarian. He currently belongs to the Troy Rotary Club of Michigan in District 6380.
Michael’s first experience with Rotary was through a Group Study Exchange (GSE) to South Africa in 1995. The GSE program is now known as Vocational Training Teams (VTT).
He was club President in 2013-14 and served as District Governor in 2016-17 and Zone 29 Public Image Chair in 2019-21.
