Very professional in not naming and trashing previous machine by name in the video even though it seems they treated you very poorly. They need to learn to treat customers like you better.
I would have mentioned the machine name in the title for the extra clicks, and help people find information about the machine when they are looking for it. With this title those people will not find your video, and that would be a shame
Best of luck with her. Nothing can match the intake of a kuhn! If only they would make the pickup lift a bit higher. Also you'll need a good supply of pickup tines they're soft as shite!
Serious machine, we find baling farmers coming out with bits of old rolls and always seems to be left short on plastic, “didn’t think they would be as many bales on it” I’d keep a couple of your own rolls to be safe. Good luck👍
@@chucklesx You are correct. The further out the pivot point is the better. The optimal place is halfway along the length of the implement shaft - in this position there will be no shaft vibrations when turning because the shaft angle at the tractor and implement will always be equal
Great baler, had various makes bale my silage overthe years, the kuhn makes most consistent, solid bales. My contract or was able to bale fields other balers were blocking at no problem
This'll be an interesting year. I very nearly went to the kuhn a few years ago. One thing I found was to me there wasn't the same weight transfer onto the tractor.
@@jasondavies4887 I ran the kunh baling a few times in silage with 145 hp tractor and it was killing it. Now that your baling haylage you probably be ok, just about doh and not chopping saves a lot of power. The baler is 6 ton of your on hilly ground that won’t help
Really nice machine that👍. Love the film binding. Way better than mchale as normal 750 mm film that’s actually not going break ye back 😉 Way better pickup as mchales is barely average on its sweeping ability and in short grass is horrendous as is grass flow ( owned 4 mchale balers and 3 Vicons over the years) & vicon pickups will clean like nothing else . Belts on the wrapper will be way more positive at turning the bale than a fusion 😉. Jammed bales on sideling ground on a fusion and when gone flat spotted there’s simply nothing you can do & dry bales can be awful to wrap. Kuhn will be great. Wrap loading for wrapper looks fabulous. Nice height to store wrap and remove and no stooping the roll of wrap onto the holders when replacing rolls. Nicer panels and more user friendly 😊 Twin axles👍. Hate pulling the green boat on the road as very little comes close to trying to throw your tractor over a hedge constantly on rough roads🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 Think I want one🙏🙏🙏
Nice baler, load spread well over two axels, id just be concerned over reliabilty with 60k bales, but maybe you intend in changing it when resonably fresh.
Looks that way. Shame on them if thats true. Twas the Paddies built their brand n they should look after their own first n foremost. Very disrespectful
Well you may ware if you can save that much wrap it will be a game changer, we were pricing wrap this week it’s not cheap! So by my estimate you reckon you could save 17.5 percent that would be massive. Best of luck with her.
Completely agree with your view on a camless pickup but some argue different , cam track much tidier, smoother flowing, overall superior when cared. Good luck with the new baler
You will be back to a fusion after one season with the kuhn,,,, the middle plastic loading will drive ya nuts when it starts acting up,,, the 3d wrapping won't work with certain plastic and you will end up turning it off,,,, now to front of baler nice pickup but after one blockage when you need to use that bar,,,, kuhn owners know that bar 😅 you will be pulling more than just grass out,,,,, best of luck now to back of baler,, anyone not on a diet will have fun getting into the back of baler between the wrapper,,,, the time delay between the bale been spat out and wrapped will also annoy ya and when u come home after long day,,, remember blowing down the baler will not be the simple exercise as you had with the fusion,,,,,,,, but as I said before you seem like a a fair guy who just got mishandled by service from mchale and you are correct to treat bad service with the only thing that big companys understand,,, competition,,,,,,, continue success with your kuhn
In case anyone is wondering, his last baler was a McHale Fusion, he can’t even bring himself to say the name if it 😂😂😂, he’ll be back to a fusion in a year or two.
Good luck with the film on film! We have a 3135 same as yours and the film binding only works around 50% of the time, completely random, Kuhn haven’t a clue on what’s wrong, 2 other balers sold same time as ours exact same, good balers though! Never skips a beat
Can I ask, when putting bales in the shed to feed animals, would u need to keep the wrap on, to save it falling apart. Or is it similar to net, where you take off the outside layer, and left with the inside layer. Sorry if it doesn't make much sense lol
@@HaggisFarmer ah ok, I thought it would be hard to separate the layers. Does it not work out much the same in costs. Rolls of plastic are a desperate price and the collection of the plastic is going up too
@@cormacbcb Really depends on what your doing, it works out much the same price as using net however youve only one kind of waste, bales keep better aswell. theres also chat of plastic tax on net but not plastic as the net isnt reusable
@@HaggisFarmer seems good so. The only real worry I'd have is when it's very hot, plastic on the wrapper can sometimes go bad with the heat, but most balers probably have the rolls covered
What were the problems with the mchale ? I have both .the kuhn is a great machine but it's a disaster the area they left to stand for changing the film on film rolls
Good square bale, not a stuffed sock. Do you run all knives or half, how does it go on steep ground, is it heavy, what horsepower minimum up front? Thanks.
I will be very interested in seeing how you get on with this baler. I don't know if it's right but the baler minimum power requirement is 90hp, I know that's probably with out chop and on dryer grass. I like the 2 axles. How much does the baler weigh?
Sort of off topic but you mentioned farmer supplying wrap. Is that a normal thing to do in your part of the world? Here in NZ contractors bring all plastic and netting them selves both for bales and pit silage. Seems a bit odd for farmer to have to do that
@@mrcvx @Glen... They used to supply it . That left a lot of contractors out of pocket if they couldn't get paid. Then it changed to how CVX described above
run one for three seasons film on film waste of time to slow don't push it but when on net hell of a baler, pick up class leading puts to much in the bale for contracting to make it pay ,wrapper better than mchale I had all mchale 1,2,two 3s. my advice put two layers of net then 5 layers of film for maximum productivity.all the best👍👌
A contractor near me who does a lot of bales and ran two fusions changed from Mchale to Kuhn a few years ago but has since changed one of the balers back to a fusion , the men who work for him say that the Kuhn has two many censors and crap on them and the fusion is more user friendly , also the Kuhn has given lots of trouble
The same can be said for any machine or car or anything like that . Some people have great experience while others don't . I didn't have a great experience and it was made 100 times worse with how it was handled . So I changed , rightly or wrongly time will tell but I will say this , when I bought my first cvx everyone said I was mad and they were shite and all the rest . I've now had 9 of them and I wouldnt have anything else, As for another comment about coming back when there's 100,000 bales up. Well I wasn't able to make the first bale with the last one without having to get tools out myself.
