Wish I could find a roommate that would help find groceries and clean

The fish is most definitly not helping things stay clean. The more fish you have, the faster the tank gets dirty. But 2 animals for that large of a tank is preftecly fine. But dom could be helping the shrimp find food. Predatory animals tend to be smart enough to notice things like "oh, that fish follows crabs around." Srry i just kinda wrote an essay again. Whoops.

@@Catiku_Cat that is something expected for the tank owner to clean, what i failed to mention in my original comment was what i mean by "keep everything clean". i meant things like left overs and in some POSSIBLE CASES, the fish can help clean off the outside of other sea creatures.

Oh you betcha! My favorite is when an eel and a fish that live in the same coral reef scape signal each other to go hunting together. There's also fish and shrimp who team up to protect their homes. Sealife is far smarter than most of us humans believe they are.

It happens all the time. This case with the mantis shrimp is a well known example from nature too.

@@skiffy8121 The pistol shrimp (related to the mantis shrimp) forms a symbiotic relationship with a goby, the shrimp can't see super well so the goby keeps watch for predators while the shrimp builds their nest. I honestly don't know why these two get along though.

He has a short on Dom's intro to the scrimp. Dom was not phased by Kaiju and even stayed in front of Kaijus cave until Kaiju closed the cave with a rock. This species of fish are also known to be aggressive so it was just a general consensus that Kaiju respected this fearless fish. People also think that Doms color has something to do with it.
