Do you guys prefer the blue background over the white background for these power point presentation style of videos? A few of you told me that the white screen was messing with your eyes lmao
@@nasvsan6191he’s not the next champ, but I’d say he’s a future champ fs. He’s already elite and he’ll be making vast improvements over these next couple years.
@@destano2951keep in mind he had a double weight cut before that fight bc Kleydson missed weight and pulled out , but yea lackluster performance against Chairez
@@kjc19004 For journeyman cutting weight consecutively like that do impact their performances ... not sure if it impact him in particular; but in general, when you've never gone through that, sudden and multiple energy depletion, at the very extreme degree, beyond which you collapse... and we're talking 1-4 pounds this or that way... Veterans who've gone through it a few times, they could manage it better, even if it's still hard. Look at what it did to poor Tony Ferguson!
Colby should be on here. Dude's most impressive achievement is that he had two close and competitive fights with Usman. Colby officially has zero ranked wins in the UFC. His last wins was against an aging Masvidal, Woodley, and before that Robbie Lawler. I doubt he can even contend with the top welterweights. He loses to Leon, loses to Usman, loses to Burns, might beat Belal, loses to Shavkhat etc. I bet even Geoff Neal beats him badly.
Colby is skilled tho his wrestling is elite his striking is above average he jus got pillow hands his cardio might be the best on the roster & his chin is solid too ik he ducks top contenders but don’t mean he a bad fighter
@@smerkishjay503 I never said he was a bad fighter. It's just that his ranking in the division doesn't reflect his actual skill. He shouldn't be the number 2 ww in the world.
If you have O’Malley on this list because of being a fraudulent draw, you gotta have Colby too. Colby vs Leon does 300k max as a main event yet some fans act like it would do 2 million. I doubt it even headlines a card. Non-English speaking oliveira blows him out of the water in terms of sales.
Lol I was just going to say that. Oliveira with his flamboyant suits and cocky post fight interviews is considered humble? People love Oliveira because he's confident and knows he's good
You should Add Colby for being the "second champ of the division". He is still a awazing fighter, but he should not even be considered to be on the same sort of status as "Holloway, Oliveria and Whittaker (before DDP)". What made them so legendary was the fact that they beat ever other contender in the division, while Colby had amazing fight with Usman and then just beat up old retired guys to get his next title shots. Colby just fight too little and avoid the Top 5 guys like the plague, while the other second champ put on performance against them
More needs to be made of the fact that O'malley was ALLOWED to cheat with glove/cage grabs 10+ times in the Yan fight, which is the only reason it was competitive. Without the fouls Yan takes him down each round and wins the decision decisively, with the fouls (but if they were punished like it would be for a non-Dana White Privilager), O'malley gets at least 1 point deduction and again loses the fight. That fight is O'malley's only ranked "win" in 5 years in the UFC and he's sitting on a guaranteed title shot for the last year because of it, while UFC tries to force Aljo into a quick turnaround after going 5 rounds with Cejudo and fight at less than 100%. Slimy stuff. The clear explanation here is the UFC is corrupt, they have an internal memo that stars/hype trains are allowed to foul and refs/commentary won't mention it unless they absolutely have to. What's worse, the fighters know this too so O'malley worked glove/cage grabs into his training to help win that fight, Yan even looked at Herb Dean mid-fight and complained about it and was ignored. This needs to be exposed, we already know they make PED exceptions for stars (like moving a card to another venue so Jones can fight), and fix decisions if things go off script (Paddy losing to Gordon), so you better believe the reffing and matchmaking is corrupt too.
doesn't matter because half of the fans will always defend the bs, simply because it favors their fighter of choice. fans don't give a shit if their fighter cheats to win or doesn't deserve the win but still gets it handed to them. they will defend the worst robberies and swear they're not received robberies, they will deny any cheating no matter how obvious it it, they will say anything to defend a fighter who doesn't know or give a shit about them. fans have allowed the integrity of the sport to be completely ruined because of their extreme bias. i'll still never forget the munhoz/edgar robbery. one of the worst robberies i've ever seen, and at least 90% of the fans refused to acknowledge it was a robbery. munhoz outlanded him in 4 rounds, by double digits in 3 of those rounds, and some fans were literally saying edgar clearly outstruck him. fan bias will be the complete downfall of this sport. i honestly think it will be just as fake and staged as pro wrestling in the near future, and 99% of fans will not be able to tell the difference.
Why the hell is everybody shitting on Dan hooker? He lost to makachev and Chandler. And drained himself for the Arnold Allen fight. Chandler can finish anyone on any given day. And makachev is the undisputed flicking champion! Ive never thought he was done. I'm really glad vintage hooker showed up. I don't think jalin turner is a fraud. I think Dan hooker is just still that good.
It's still funny to me that there was actually a moment In time where there are fans In this community actually thought that Paulo Costa would be "the one to beat Israel Adesanya!". When his most recent finish was over a past prime former Welterweight In post-USADA Johnny Hendricks, and that's still the only recent finish he has In his career.
it doesn't really matter what Sean does for revenue he's still very popular it's not like the UFC wants to lose him I'm just more interested in his fights in general so I don't care about him being boring his abilities are top 5 regardless
Curtis Blaydes was literally murdering Overeem. Some of the most violent ground n pound ever. I hate that loss against Derrick Lewis, but that is the only reason you have an argument - you cant lose that fight.
I get the Charles argument cuz bro isn't that humble and is always spending money but the 50 paintings is normal💀. Likes himself a lil too much. Like I'll have 50 paintings if I was champ too
Everytime I watch one of these videos I either roll my eyes, kringe, or I find myself thinking this guys petty smart so why is his content so hard to get through. I'm not sure if he's so biased he can't stand say good things about good fighters or see the fact that young fighters are still developing and working on there games. Just give some of these young prospects time to get better!
The karma police really messed up w that Katar/Emerson decision. It just gave the UFC fuel to push an image fighter with supposed power. I guess punching heavy hooks into a guy’s arms makes you a contender, and a winning fighter.
Hilarious video. The Charles Olivera observation is the best. I'm sure he just needs to be reminded of his humble beginnings.. illustrated for easy explanation.
Say all that you want but the moment all this fraud get some highlight ko suddenly theyre the best again Lucas 😂 i loved your content dont get me wrong but after the beneil darius vs charles fight your video is not the same anymore
I don’t think Yair is a fraud. His biggest factor is his dangerous striking. He made Max and Volk wrestle, which proves that his striking is indeed something to be wary of.
Yair isn’t a fraud, you calling yair a fraud makes me question your knowledge of the sport. Max and volk are all time greats and he’s just a cut below them
Most dagestanis are frauds for the exception of Islam and Khabib. Some of these dudes just straight up never fight again after getting their first loss on the big stage or take 3 years off
I’ve seen every numbered UFC ever, and most other events. It’s amongst the worst decisions I’ve ever seen, and yet there are tons of commenters and even big mma personalities that were okay with it. Literally Emmett just hitting Katar’s arms and taking jabs to his face. They counted those looping, non-landing punches from Emmett as significant strikes and credited them more than Katar’s jabs to the face.
@@mundanemorselsmundanemorse7028 100% agree. I think watching Yair's performance against Volk was good indication that fighting Emmett isn't a good litmus test for a title fight, although Ilia probably won't agree lol
Damirs takedown defense & grappling was overrated I’ll give you that but I genuinely think his striking is technical enough to compete in the top 10 i think him & turner can beat fiziev tbh
Here's the video with Charles Oliveira's house tour if anyone wants to judge for themself ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x9LJ_wFooLQ.html
Did I miss them or were Vettori and Costa not on this list? Darren Till? Suga Sean and Guram are less fraudulent than those guys, though I agree they’re a bit overhyped (especially Sean, due mainly to image).
Taira standup is wack. He's got some Raul Rosas looking standup where he throws good techniques but it doesn't seem to be backed by any tactical game. He keeps getting dropped by leg kicks, happened early in the Jesus Aguilar fight, and again vs Chairez. But I think you said before that the fight was a draw, it was certainly not. Yes Chairez got a flash knockdown, but the stats are 6 to 27 of significant, and 6 to 36 total, which includes completely unanswered, questionable legality downwards elbows being landed. Also note Taira did a double weight cut after rebooking from a weight miss opponent.
Jalin Turner is on here while Lucas Tracy is flexing all his muscles and talking shit about fighters maybe he should try out for contender series and try to get into the UFC. Let’s see what he brings besides being a thirsty content creator
bro where is paddy pimblett? he lost to jared gordon, he doesnt have a chin. and he talks shit all the timw like hes good. i cant believe he had the audacity to say he was winning all the rounds. doesnt really look impressive either.
Yeah there wasn’t a ton of action up in that Omalley fight at UFC 276 until eye poke, kinda looked like Pedro was on his was to getting rope-a-doped though
24:45 You do realise Gamrot had no camp and was flying all the time while cutting weight because he had visa problems? Turner is just that bad, get over it
Turner's body just gave up this dude is destroying himself to make weight and is malnourished, that's probably why he got destroyed, I mean regular sized fighters are already damaging their bodies with their weight cut but at least they get some nutrition and calories, this dude looks like he's fasting to make weight
One of your best shows to date...you were flowing in this one like you were born to do it Good stuff man. "Shawn O'Malley couldn't sell God to a priest"😂.
in fairness I never necessary thought of Charles as “ Humble” more so Respectful , Motivational or relatable even but Great video also that “ can’t sell god to priest” line was crazy 😂😂😂
Taira dropped his opponent in his fight, to say he has no sting or speed isn't fair. Also, Kron is 35 with horrible striking, Taira still has so much time to develop. I wouldn't call Taira a fraud by any means, especially considering has most people do not know of him.
O'Malley has a little bit of Charisma in his own way sometimes but he just can't talk, even on his youtube channel they just barely have anything to say about even the most interesting fights, I donno what it is, probably just an introvert, nothing wrong with that.
Just one thing about Oliveira, I'm aware that he has his own name tattooed on himself, but speaking about murals and paintings, they're probably made by fans. Some people really appreciate when someone does drawings or paintings of them.
no disrespect to lamas but he was bound to get Ko by a pubcher like emmet and he lost to kattar I don’t care also had a very close fight with Dan Ige then got steamrolled by yair and even knocked out by stephens so yea he is the biggest fraud in the ufc
@@stephthamuu How is he a fraud? He almost finished Stephens in the first round, and very quickly knocked down Ige. Having close fights with very good fighters doesn’t make you a fraud. Lamas lost to Kattar after Emmett beat him.
@@WarBrah because of how they market him and because these wins are not top 4 of the featherweight division worthy he is not a complete fraud but he isn’t as good as the ufc promotes and shouldn’t have been in the top 5 or even top 6 respectfully heck of a fighter though with hella Heart
@@stephthamuu They promote him because he’s a 38 year old on the decline, and they can make names off of him. That doesn’t make him a fraud. You’re just a bum regurgitating whatever ideas this idiot spews out.
@@hmmm3210 By that definition, Islam has no business being champ, either, since he was dropped with a slight caress on his face by some known. And, BTW, I picked Islam over Charles. Anyway, these are the two most skilled guys at 155, the only two guys who could actually do both stand-up and BJJ at elite levels. Charles real problem is NOT a lack of skills; it is a lack of game planning compounded by uber aggression, BOTH of which are excellent recipes for UNFORCED ERRORS. Doing a jumping/switch kick against most guys is no problem, because they wouldn't want to get close to Charles, when he lands; but do that BS against a next level wrestler like Islam who also is a very good Muay Thai guy and a counter striker... you're asking to be cracked on the face exactly as Islam did do. Charles cut down his aggression by 90% and he's 50-50 with Islam, skill for skill, movement for movement, standing and on the mat. And on the mat, even with Islam on to, if Charles is not hurt, I prefer Charles over Islam...
Bro, I was shocked because I am such a fan, but at least I try to recognize my bias. Imagine if Colby or Izzy had murals covering their houses with their faces? Everyone(including me) would be mocking that.
So glad you mentioned Curtis Blaydes. Supposedly Jon Jones' equal and a future champ but can't make it to a title shot for the life of it. It's crazy how hard fans overrate anyone who they're convinced is a "stylistic matchup" for the champ/much of the division.
@@Cut-N-Shoot-Rickhen Jones was ready to move up to HW everyone said Blaydes wrestling/grappling was on par with Jones then proceded to get destroyed
Also you fail to mention Charles has bought a ranch for his parents and employees 30 of his friends many of whom are from the favela. Charles also has a social project for youth who do bjj. He also is always making content for his fans. Gives banger fights and never talks trash.
And Jon Jones donates more money and time than Charles does...wtf does any of that have to do with being humble? Charles is a great fighter and person for the most part...but he is far from humble, closer to delusional if anything.
There were too many people saying “Guram is elite” “Guram is a future champ” “Guram could beat anyone in the top 5” just a ton of ridiculous comments for just having a close fight with Ismagulov and Gamrot when he wasn’t as good as he is nowadays. I also heard The Weasle say he would pick Guram to beat Fiziev and he couldn’t get past Elvis Brenner 😂 his skillset is so mid as well, he isn’t well rounded, his wrestling is very overrated, mid grappling, doesn’t have good boxing, only thing he does well is land elbows in the clinch or on the ground. Both Guram and Damir aren’t even good enough to be ranked, Grant Dawson was #15 and he 30-26d Damir easily and Damir is a slightly better version of Guram.
Being humble in martial arts is about respecting your opponents- it’s not how you choose to spend your money. L take from someone who doesn’t train or compete.
I just don't believe in that respect, you go inside a cage and try to murder someone who's a husband and a father, giving them brain damage, but since you give them a fake hug afterwards its all respect? I just don't buy that, Nick Diaz was right that there's no friendships when you're fighting, the respect afterwards is respecting their skill and heart, the respect is not towards the actual person, if it was that kind of respect then they wouldn't fight, you wouldn't hurt someone you respect.
@@Ar1AnX1x Facts i heard Michael Chandler say exactly that. You only respect the fighter skill and their courage. Not a respect in a nice typa manner "he is so nice and respectful look he gave him a hug" 🤣🤣
When you hit 30k you promised to humble yourself and go back to gritty content. This video has so many good raw lines. Never sellout we need content like this to protect us from the matrix.
I think Kutateladze is actually very skillful, talented and well-rounded, he's just braindead and doesn't have elite fight IQ the fight IQ is what separates a champion from top 15 fighters
Excellent take. I think he’s a solid guy, just not a contender. He’s always gonna be big for the division because he’s shred city, but I don’t think he has the repertoire to finish top ten guys.
Don't forget Zabit "The Karate Hottie" Magomedsharipov. 0 TKO/KO's in the UFC, only 4 in career, of which 2 were injuries, and one a corner stoppage. Oh, when he was still active, his sig striking accuracy (53%) and knockdowns per 15 (0.00) equaled Michelle Waterson. He has NO POWER. Spinning backfists don't even make opponents move. He needs a traditional kickboxing style to complement his grappling. Watch "When Striking Becomes Art - Zabit" and have a laugh. It's him throwing strikes that miss, him throwing strikes that don't effect his opponent, and him only winning by sub. His best strikes are his jab, straight, and his body & low kicks. *cue spinning heel kick that misses*
