I think they should just always have duos in rotation. A premade pred team of 4 is too much. A premade 4 man of strike pack users on console is too much. A premade duo is manageable no matter the caliber unless they’re cheating. A solo pred is also manageable if they’re legit. As a plat at my peak, I’m not really scared to soloq any rank. This season might go down as the worst and it’s not because of ranked. I can only blame the playerbase for cheating because that’s people who are playing the way the game wasn’t intended to

Once this season is over, and they bring back duos, I think they need to make a solo queue only trios. If you solo queue - play solo only trios. If you have a premade duo - play duos, or trios as a duo and hope there's a random solo that gets put on your team. If you have a premade trio - play trios, or ranked. (Trios would still have solos & duos but with the understanding that there's a higher likelihood that there's more premade squads)

Yeah, I have been playing some of my best apex and have been having a blast on quads, but i totally agree with what you said about matchmaking. i think that is something they should consider for the game all around. Also i miss duos. I honestly prefer it to both solos and quads, although a permanent solos game mode would be pretty cool. I'm a little bit scared of some of the 4 stacks I'm going to run into. Haven't encountered anything too bad yet, but it's only a matter of time.

I haven't really heard anyone be excited for quads. Personally, it just doesn't make sense to me. Another instance of getting something literally no one asked for.

Sometimes I have the same problem. I'll be running 2 guns that aren't shotguns and accidentally choose the auto reload shotgun perk because I'm just so used to choosing that one.

Apex was so fun before the ape everyone and go next mindset became the meta. I remember making it to plat in season 2 and in the 6th round there was 8 squads left. Everyone was playing angles, wasn't overcommitting and their primary focus was on winning, not having more kills than the next guy. Games almost never ended before the 5th round. Now games are ending before the 3rd round. Everyone just wants kills, no one wants to play to win. It's such a bummer.

i like quads i founf my self having a goos time solo q in with randoms was fun

almost every patch for a few days people will just jump off early and fight.. its pretty normal at least on Singapore server.. game would end very quickly and that's how we play and absorb what has changed and what not.. game will start to be slow as time goes by maybe a week or two.. quads are really fun if you play with friends.. can play different combos and tactics..

The biggest problem with all these new modes as with existing modes is…yes you’ve guessed it MATCHMAKING! This will continue to be the main issue with the game. They really need to introduce SBMM to pubs modes, (no there isn’t any at the moment is a combo with engagement based which is crap). The only people SBMM hurts is the highest skill players cause they can’t drop 20bombs and 4ks every game against casuals. Everyone else will have a great time as long as it’s not wound too tight and yeah have a better bias towards solo Q players in general versus premades

I get your point on pred squads but I’m enjoying the quads a lot more than solos. It’s new team dynamic. For the avg player solos is really hard and/or boring. Quads is def not boring

as for me, classic BR is all I need. I don't play LTM's, just good old 3 stacks BR. Only LTM interesting enough is 3 strikes and last solo's LTM.

I think the premade guns (besides gold guns and rampart specials) as a simplification that started with arenas and found it's way to mixtape found it's way to BR first with Straight Shot mode. Solos felt to me like a mix of Straight Shot and Three Strikes. Straight Shot because of the simplified looting and Three Strikes because solos had basically 2 strikes to make up for the impossibility of being rezzed. I think the drastic changes for Singles are what they thought necessary to make Singles a viable mode. Quads I see as just the extension of trios to 4 players. I don't think they saw a need to simplify looting as much (or at all really? Maybe a small percentage of guns got turned blue / purple?). I guess I was never expecting Quads to have all the changes they made for Singles? I know Moose has to make content and there might be a bit of hyperbole to spark engagement (...he got me, so I guess it worked!), but I don't see how it fell so far below expectations for him ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Squad wipes will be harder. Especially if you're not 4 stacking while most everyone else is.

No they just need to have separate queues, 1 for pred masters, 1 for diamond plat, 1 for the rest, that way pubs stay enjoyable for all

It’s the worst thing ever. I played 3 games 2/3 games I died to quad stack of 20/20 bomb players. Personally game would be fixed if. Pubs was only solos making up teams Premade squads/ solos making a team are ranked only Games way too sweaty for any casual to have fun in a non pre made squad. Granted I have multiple 20s but games still incredibly hard

I was doing good with the G7. I am bummed one of the achievements is to go in with a 4 person premade and win. Not everyone has 4 buddies who are good let alone play the game. Kinda womp womp to me.
