I watched this without volume and was under the assumption that the "asshole" was the blue car for passing too aggressively in the chicane.

This actually made me laugh out loud. Just imagining the other guy sitting there absolutely fuming.

FYI - When overtaking, it is legal to pinch the outside line to force them to yield. Found even in skip barber's training video. The pass people are arguing about is a legal and fair pass.

I'm probably going to be unpopular for this comment, let's take it in stages: Stage 1: The early/late braking, that's just a racing incident, perhaps he should have braked earlier to avoid you, but sometimes these things happen. I don't really apportion blame to anyone. Stage 2: The "overtake", I dispute your claim that you were in front, you were side by side going in to that chicane. You should have left room for him, or ideally just backed out of it. That is not an overtaking place, it was far too ambitious and you should have at LEAST left a cars width to your right to give him room. I place the blame for that incident solely on you! If you are faster, be patient, wait for a better opportunity, it will come. Stage 3: The retaliation, absolutely no excuse for this! Yes he was angry, yes he had a right to be annoyed with you. But that is NO EXCUSE for deliberately wrecking. This should be reported through the iRacing Protest system. Conclusion: You made a mistake, you need to recognise that and work harder to avoid getting into that situation in future. The other driver should be reported!

This is why I don't like online games, except FPS. Kids everywhere. This is why I'm sad when I see that certain games are online exclusive, when the offline experience with IA would be a lot better.

Right... so as childish as his actions were, the title of this video is just as much so. That was a HORRIBLE pass, you were not past him you were even, he had the racing line, there was no reason for you to knock him off track. What he did wasn't great either, but you can't blame him or call him the "biggest idiot ever" cause you pissed him off with a shitty pass.

i dont know how people are defending the orange car, AFTERBURNER was in fastest car up the straight and was clearly ahead of him at the brake point, orange car should have stayed wide as he had lost the corner fair and square

I would say his first move on you was a mistake. You hit the brakes to early, or he a litlle to late, it was close. Your move however as pretty dirty, you gave him no room at all. But then he took you out, nothing to say about that :D

this is a perfect example were BOTH drivers are too aggressive in both cases. In both cases the two drivers are just way too racey and dont have the skills to race yet. Instead of racing fair with space ... no ... you want close races. This is why people cant get out of rookies.

I had a similar case, it was not more clear than yours at all. One idiot wanted revenge by one stupid incident he made with a stupid move and try to destroy my race 2 times in that race. He made damages at my car by hitting me, he tried to destroy my race again by a very evident wrecking move, I recorded in a video-proof and iRacing marshalls say it was not a wrecking move. My poker face was over 9000.

haha lachen man. Dit zou zo het eerste stukje van de film Tokyo Drift (fast&furious) kunnen zijn, waar de bad guy zijn bad guy feelings niet meer de baas is. :Prachtige crash. Ik ben het met die eerste comment een beetje eens, maar wat ik zou zeggen is dat in stage 2 jij wel erg fanatiek met je inhaal actie bent. In die situaties of soortgelijke situaties moet je rijden op een manier dat je er altijd vanuit gaat dat de ander niet terughoudend zal racen, en dus altijd zal proberen om naast me te blijven in zo een chicane. Daarom in mijn rijtechniek zit er de aanpassing, dat als ik in die situatie terecht kom, "net niet ingehaald, zij aan zij, chicane op komst" dat ik toch iets eerder rem, en net mijn auto zo zet dat hij toch die buitenlijn moet nemen, waardoor ik als we de chicane uitkomen met meer momentum de bocht uitkom en hem op acceleratie op de volgende rechte stuk inhaal. Forceer hem een langzamere lijn te rijden is meestal DE manier om anderen in tehalen. Jezelf in een bocht forceren en de lijn claimen, werkt alleen met super serieuse gamers, of real life. Tis iets voor de gevorderde rijder, je moet jezelf leren geduldiger en slimmer te zijn dan de tegenstander. Vooral als je later in iRacing op een hoger niveau bent, zul je ook langere races rijden, waar je de manier waarop jij rijdt echt niet wilt zien, omdat niemand dat overleeft. Bij A of B licence komt alles aan op geduld, ik zou bij D of C licence jezelf alvast aanleren op die manier te gaan rijden, dan pluk je daar later de vruchten van. see you on the tracks

There are lots of these types in the world

One time in Lime Rock Park (Mazda cup) I was side by side with the leader in the right uphill corner which cost me speed. Therefore I was slow through the chicane and still slow on the exit when the guy behind me just stayed in the throttle like he wanted to drive through me. That's the biggest iRacing idiot I've come across.

This is partly why I don't subscribe to iRacing any more. It's nice to race against people, but on occasion people like this can really ruin your day. Best of luck restoring your safety rating.

all you should have done is said in chat "lol umad"... this gives the impression you don't care what he did and in turn makes him even more mad, also protest obviously
