It was that appearance on cribs that made me a big fan of Red Man. I liked him before, LOVED him after. Dude ain’t about all that fake ish, and I like him way more for being real!
Redman's was a surprise b/c the screen door was busted to shit, he didn't clean up, and he had dudes sleeping on the floor and anywhere. It looked like a crack house. Anyone off the street could have walked in but it was so dirty I guess no one would want to.

This video really shows just how evil the music industry is. Almost everyone on this list was in their prime at the time of their MTV Cribs debuts. Most had already sold millions of albums and was at the top of their game, and yet had nothing to show for it and had to lie to the public about their wealth to make it seem like they had more than they actually did. Meanwhile, all of the music executives that “supposedly” made them rich are probably the ones that own these extravagent homes because all of that money from album sales and touring has to be going somewhere, right?

The 2 best episodes of cribs that were 100% honest were Mariah Carey and Master P. The trick to telling the real from the fake are the personal touches, like Mariah's entire closet. You can't fake that.

Who remembers the episode where Sum 41's drummer showed off his PARENTS HOUSE that he lived in! It was a regular house with nothing fancy, except one room that was blocked off that he wasn't allowed to go in! He pulled out a 2 liter of Coke in the fridge and acted all swag like he was showing off Chrystal Champagne! LOL!

The narrative is they will film an actor in the beginning was a modest mansion, and the rapper at last with the most materialistic mansion. 6-7 of the cars are brand new. The Producers will have moving trucks and designers to dress up the mansion to create a new money narrative (newly acquired wealth).
