That old timey rebel crawdad (actually looks like a swimming crawfish) is absolutely killer! Ive never heard any pros talk about this lure but its absolutely killer!

I'm 57. I have 2 of that same Rebel crank from way back in my box. Baby bass pattern, not craw but solid little diver u can beat to death and keeps producing.

I sure miss the Bomber style crank baits and like the Arbogast Mud Bugs. When I say Bomber style I mean like the old wooden Bombers. Used to catch so many fish on these and some big ones.

I've had good luck with Rebel, Rapala, and Strike King craw colors. All have different cranks in different actions. With craw colors

I usually don’t do well with them if the water clarity is over three feet. Maybe it’s just the lakes I fish.

Hi Randy, I was wondering if you’d be interested in doing a video on how deep the same crankbait dives with 10, 12 and 15 pound test line. I was wondering how much difference the line size would make when it comes to diving depth. Thanks!

I can answer that. Line size is a huge factor in relation to diving depth. I do lots of trolling and have experimented with line size. Rule of thumb : double the line size, reduce depth in half, inverse, the same.

Randy, I've been largemouth bass fishing for 62 yrs., cleaned lots of them along the way, never once have I ever found even one crawfish in a belly. Anyway, why can't you get in your boat and demonstrate your videos like KVD does ?...and he catches fish doing them.
