I did it, just exactly as you say at the first sign of hair loss, I shaved everything off. Now I'm letting them grow again and find that it actually isn't as bad as I thought. So I'm really allowed to say, you are 100% RIGHT. The problem is, I don't believe that if I had watched this before shaving it would have stopped me somehow... I don't know why but sometimes people just need to face things on their own. Maybe a "show, don't tell" thing could be better.

ErnestoStaccolanana I got an advice for you, stop using shampoos and conditioners on your hair, jst wash it with water, if you're the type that the hair will smell a bit bad if no soap used then look for natural alternatives! It's been 2 weeks for me nw since i last used shampoo and it's much better, honestly my hair feels softer and more natural, in a year or 2 you'll see big changes.
@ErnestoStaccolanana
@ErnestoStaccolanana 6 лет назад
Thank you for the advice, I know it's a very good one. Through time I've understood that hair loss is caused by many factors, some of them are more influential than others in a way that varies a lot from person to person and also for the same person in different periods of time, it's never about a single thing and can be quite complicated... but yes, hair products may stress the scalp very much. The problem is, I did try to stop using shampoos, but my hair is of the type that becomes EXTREMELY AWFUL the very next day, and at that point bare water just makes it even worse, it's not just a smelling problem, I know it's also the scalp reacting to frequent shampoos and it should get better within 1-2 weeks, but I can't wait so long unless I hide from other people, so it's not really that simple for everybody... also the very type of water in your zone can make a huge difference. Now I just use a tiny amount of a delicate shampoo each morning without any conditioning and it seems I'm fine.

I've been slowly losing my hair for the last 20 years. Tried many different things with little results. I think some things slowed it down but nothing was bringing it back. But I was able to keep it short on the sides and a little longer on top with a comb forward and sometimes people said they didn't even know I was balding. But it has made me self conscious about it all this time. A couple years ago I met a wonderful young woman and we started getting to know each other very slowly. I always wore a hat around her, or when I didn't, my hair looked like it was full because of the comb forward. Eventually I showed her the truth and told her what I've been dealing with and she didn't care. Now she's encouraging me to shave it all off, and she says she thinks I will look great! I have doubts about that. I don't know if I have a good looking scalp. I guess we'll see soon, because it's getting to the point where it doesn't look so great anymore, and I'm tired of thinking about it. My point is, don't let it define you. When it gets to the point where you have to wear hats all the time or are self-conscious about it, that's no way to live. Be yourself and improve yourself in all the other ways that you can. Keep yourself in good shape, eat a healthy diet, workout, expand your mind. Be a good person. It's true that it really sucks to lose your hair, but there are so many things that are worse in this world and ultimately it's one little thing that you're not alone in dealing with. I got lucky and fell in love with a beautiful young woman who loves me for who I am. The same can happen to anyone. I'm taking better care of my beard now too, and my girlfriend loves it! Rock the bald and beard look. Embrace life with what you've got.

Reasons of why so many guys are afraid of balding: 1: it ruins their looks 2: it decreses or kills their dating life 3: it ages them 4: it lowers their cofidence 5: people often makes fun of them

I'm dealing with hair loss and i'm just 24, about to complete 25. I've got a different thought about it, I've chosen to accept this as a normal part of my life. But at the same time, i've decided to improve myself in different ways, by: Taking care of my body (working out), eating healthy food, studying english by myself every day (brazilian guy), reading philisophy, increasing my creative process in music by reading more and more so i can open my mind and expand my horizons, by getting art overall...anyway. Losing hair hurts sometimes, it will always be hard, i do NOT deny it, but i think the best way to deal with this problem in particular is by focusing in other billions important things in our lives. Once you allow yourself to open your mind to important things, THIS porblem becomes smaller and smaller, and so on...

I'm 38 and I've been going bald for 20 years this year. I'm still not completely bald, it's been a super slow process, but I'm at that point it's very noticeable. I've been shaving my head on and off for years. I can say the only issue I have with it is missing having the options of changing it up once and a while. I can also say, most men are insecure because we worry what women will think about us bald. I can honestly say, I've never had that issue with women. They seriously don't care. I mean real women who aren't materialistic. They care about confidence. That's the sexiest thing that attracts them about a man. So stop worrying guys. Do what you want, but in the end, it's not as big as you think it is.

At the first sign of going bald, I didn’t shave it. I went and got topical finasteride and minoxidil. Stopped the hair loss in its tracks and went back to NW1 in 6 months. DHT continues to damage the hair follicles even after they stop growing visible hair, so if you’re going to do fin, it’s best to do it early. I think it was easy for me to recognize that it was happening because I have some scars on the top of my head that are normally easy to cover with hair. When the balding started, I could see them through the hair. Once the fin/min started working, the scars got buried under my hair. If you wait to long, the follicles die completely and the only way to bring them back is with transplants.

I'm 32 and the realization that I could be losing my hair now or in the future kind of set in a few years ago. I think I'm ok for now, never kept track but started to track it more by taking pics of hair line. But hearing of so many people now days losing their hair so young makes me thankful I at least made it this far. I wonder if part of it is health related or life style related. Seems lot of people are losing their hair so young now like even before 20, it's kind of sad. This whole realization is kind of a kick in the butt for me to try to eat healthier, for what it's worth. Whether or not it's even related, it's not a bad thing to eat healthier. I decided to let my hair grow out more, while I still can. Not really sure how far I want to take it but I'm kinda curious how I'll look like if I go with like shoulder length. I'm a ginger so may as well embrace that eh.

How to naturally stop hairloss; consume more vitamin D and vitamin K2. Don’t masturbate too much, limit stress, don’t take more than 10 minutes in the shower because the hot water dries out your scalp. Drink plenty of water. Also give yourself daily head massages with a wooden hair brush(wooden bristles). There you go. Be consistent with these things and you will see incredible changes🙏

I just consider it extra maintenance honestly. Just like if you want to keep your teeth, you’ll apply products to keep your hair so you don’t go bald. Finasteride, minoxidil, whatever other treatment you’re using, USE IT. Even if you don’t get your hair back completely, slowing it down and hopefully showing some regrowth is better than losing it all.

If you have a high hairline & are also losing your hair shaving your head is the only option, anything else would look stupid & draw to much attention to your hairline. People are to preoccupied with how they look nowadays, if you want to shave your head then just do it!, if people can’t except you then they aren’t worth your time. I’m 20 & have been having hair loss since I was under 18, I have always hid it with long hair but I just said to myself “This is mentally destroying me by focusing on what my hair constantly look like!” so I just decided one day to shave it all off completely & I felt completely brand new, it felt like a weight had been taken off my shoulders. I have no interest in attracting a partner or how people perceive so maybe it was easier for me but if your thinking of shaving your head just do it!, it feels so refreshing & makes you less stressed (in my opinion).

I started losing my hair at 15. Fucking 15. It sucks big time. At first all I could think about was my thinning through my part and my receding hairline. Sure, hair can make you feel more confident but the real reality is embracing yourself. I’m turning 18 pretty soon, I’m on propicia and it still sucks. I still question when I’ll fully lose my hair. I’m at a point where it’s noticeable. I would’ve loved to make it to college with a full head of hair but sadly that’s not the fate I was given. I’m not gonna weep over something I can’t change. Here are my tips. Style your hair differently, keep it shorter, and undercuts help a lot. If anyone makes fun of it... so what? It doesn’t matter what they think. Everyone loses their hair at some point in their life. Let karma do it’s work. Just relax. You’ll still be attractive if you go bald. Look at mfn Johnny Sins, JMAC, and so forth. All pornstars who are bald and fuck hot chicks. Love yourselves. Be confident. You’ll be okay.

I started having side effects.You have to do it twice a day and leave it on for 4 hours at a time. I had to sleep in it and it was messing up my eyes. It got to be a chore and once I hit 41 I was just over it. I let myself go bald. It's not a easy thing. I have still some hair but I shave it to a 1 attachment. My crown is gown. If I had been in my 20's it would have destroyed me. But over 40 it just feels like it's ok and I am in a different part of my life. I also tried Propecia. Now that messed me up. I have used olive oil for 4 years. My goal is just to nourish my hair. My hair is 3c. But in some months, my hair is stronger and becoming bigger. In particular, my new hair is growing faster and in more volume than I expected. I searched Google and know olive oil has a lot of protein, so it makes your hair become stronger and grow faster, and your hair is thicker than normal. So if you lose hair, please use olive oil before or after washing your hair.

"...rather than letting hair loss take control of you" - It is WAY better than letting your hair (which is going away overtime) control you. I don't wanna care whether my scalp is showing or not, or stare in the mirror every morning and be concerned over something completely cosmetic as it disappears. There are other ways to stand out: clothing, hats, accessories, piercings, tattoos or just style your beard if you can grow one. This is such microscopic problem compared to everything else you have to deal with and there is so much more to life than this, yet you treat it as if it's a life threatening disease. I've been growing my hair out for 3 years and will most likely buzz it off really soon.

Thanks for making this video. I couldn't agree with you more. When the choice is made to go bald, that's the end of any hairstyle. Yes, for some people this works. But so many people still look great with thinning hair. I feel like some men just give up and accept baldness. They way I look at it, if you force the baldness, then everyone notices that you're bald. If you're going thin, that seems more natural.

Thank you for your information. Perhaps I'm mistaken but did you mention the side effects related to Minoxidil? Unfortunately I am able to detail effects well beyond the commonly reported itching or irritation of the scalp. Instead I endured severe fatigue,confusion and dizziness. This was the third time I began treatment and each time...several years apart the outcome was the same: severe fatigue, confusion and dizziness. And side effects each time started around the third day in and when I stopped use they went away completely within two days. I've researched a lot and have begun natural treatments like hair oils infused with rosemary and lavender. There are so many more beyond that. In fact a 2015 study confirmed Rosemary Oil was equal in efficacy to 2% Minoxidil solution which many people use rather than the stronger 5%. Bottom line: whatever works for someone is great as long as it works safely. And if it doesn't please know there are alternatives out there

the worst mistake for a men with hairloss is starting rogaine before they start finasteride. Rogaine just thickens up ur hair but doesnt do anything about the actual problem. thats where finasteride comes into play. It blocks dht the hormone that makes men/women lose their hair. using finasteride with minoxidil is the golden standard for fighting hairloss. And start as soon as u notice hairloss dont wait. the faster u start treatment the better will be for keeping ur hair. once is gone, u cant do shit about it except a hair transplant.

Have a good diet! All vitamins! Wash your hair regularly! Apply olive oil and coconut oil for atleast an hour! Massage your scalp! Use no or less shampoo! Don't use blow dry or wax or hair gel! Use cold or mild water to wash hair! Comb the hair not the scalp! Exercise regularly! And just don't stress out!

I had long hair and i was long loving my hair like crazy. Alas i was getting bold.....so i shaved my head. So now from Thor i look like Heizenberg(Breaking Bad) :P It all comes to what style you like and how much time and money you have to spend on your self. I dont care what other people think, i care about how i feel when i see my self in the mirror. And since that i love my self the way i am and i have accepted my self as i am...i enjoy every style :) Im fabulous....what can i say....blame God for that :D hahah

Shouldn't we treat the root cause which is the DHT sensitivity of our scalp? Like using scalp DHT blocker.

Losing your hair is not terrible. There are plenty of worse things that could be happening to you. You can take action by A. Not giving a f*ck and B shaving it off and then not giving a f*ck. I would never use this stuff for the rest of my life. Probably super expensive too. If your hair is falling out and you are using stuff like this you will always be worrying about it.
@ryanturner8577
@ryanturner8577 7 лет назад
I did it all for a few years. Romaine plus nizoral and eating foods and using other oils. It worked for a while, then just slowed the balding process. Eventually it was a hassle. Worrying about my hair so much, not wearing hats, wearing my hair a certain way to cover the balding areas (thankfully I'm a little over 6'1 so people can't tell usually anyways). But it becomes so tedious and worthless. Save it until a point where it's starting to really become noticeable, then save yourself the mental torture and shave it. Best thing I could have done. I'm free now haha

How to get over hair loss: 1. Use minoxidil and finasteride everyday (both FDA approved for hair loss). 2. Style hair to make the most of thinning hair. 3. Use hair loss concealer to fill in thin parts. 4. Save up $ and get a hair transplant. Guaranteed to get permanent hair back. My father was completely bald. I noticed my hair loss many years ago. I now have a full head of hair. If not for doing the steps above, I'd be near bald now.

Please upvote this comment for real info: Do not use Rogaine... it can have terrible side effects. The real reason why the hair is thinning out is because there's no proper blood circulation in your head. What you need to do is, get a massaging hair brush (something like a wooden one with wooden tips) and massage your scalp, 5 minutes a day. You can do it many times a day. Also, if you can, do headstands, which again, will promote blood circulation in the head. Do NOT waste your time with artificial products like Rogaine. All you need is, stimulate blood circulation on your head and eat healthy, possibly a fruit based diet, but see which works for you. There's a lot of misinformation out there and most of the time people don't do proper research. Your body is all about blood circulation and keeping the ducts working, think of your body like plumbing, if there's a blockage, something will go wrong. Fix things naturally and do not waste your time on artificial temporary fixes.

I'm 23, already staring to lose hair up front. I was struggling with the idea of it for about a year. I did a lot to slow it down or try to stop (you can't stop it come to find out) and though about rogaine. but the issue with rogaine is when you stop using it, you go right back to losing hair. so no thank you. however, before I got to the point of not having the option. I just shaved it. I got to see what I'll look like and it wasn't bad. now I'm ok with the idea of being bald and I'm playing with hair styles.( right now I have a mohawk).

+David Norstad when you stop brushing your teeth you'll get cavaties. While it sucks that not all guys deal with hair loss, using Rogaine is a very easy part of the routine. That being said, you gotta do you.

I lost hair due to it being weak after hypothyroidism and then I decieded to throw both bleach and dye on it :// it will grow back and to the same thickness but it will take a long time because it all started to break off even more than before. I thought I was dealing with male patterns baldness and one doctor actually taught me that too, im 19 only and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism after 1 1/5 years of going to the doctor regularly, it is not very hard to diagnose but it is more oftenly diagnosed in women than men. Everyone who is watching, whether you are a girl or a boy, if you are dealing with hairfall get your hormones, vitamin levels etc checked because that may be an underlying illness or a vitamin defiecency. I gained 38 pounds so fast and dealt with fatigue, dry skin etc. I have lost alot of the weight now and it keeps getting off after treatment.

The problem with Rogaine and other similar products is that you have to used them for the rest of your life, not to mention that using minoxidil makes your hair greasy! I have a receding hairline and my hair is also thinning at the crown, but i embraced those "problems" and i don't try to hide them cause i know that will make me look desperate. The moment i can no longer style my hair the way i want, i will shave it, cause i believe there comes a time when that's your only option.
@Beardbrand
@Beardbrand 7 лет назад
That's kinda the point. Do what you can and make yourself feel confident until it's no longer a viable option, then shave it and embrace the new look!
@tylerhart3636
@tylerhart3636 7 лет назад
it doesn't work for everybody. do some research and you will find out a lot about it. The main thing you got to know is that once you start using, you have to use it for the rest of your life, and even that doesn't guarantee that you will keep your hair...it may slow down the hair loss process, but it's not a cure. you will still lose hair, but in a slower rate.

Idk who needs to hear this but using a hair system isnt the end of the world. Early treatment of hair loss is key but some of us dont always respond well enough or we start too late, stopping treatment and starting again, but hair systems are always there and alot of them look absolutely stunning. The only person who has to know is you and all you do is replace it is every 6 months. Thats it. Hair loss sucks and the treatments arent very consistent but I 110% agree with beardbrand and say to try and keep it first. Baldcafe is an awesome channel but bald isn't for everyone and everyone has a choice :)
