That last little sequence with all of the things to do with the TV was the funniest thing ever.

I've been using a 40" 4K Panasonic CX700 as a monitor for the past year. Main use is content creation as well as content consumption and a little bit of gaming. It took me one month to become fully accustomed with it and now I cannot go back to smaller screens!

Or you can run over to Target or Walmart and pick up a truly awesome monitor for $200 less: One of the Samsung 4k curved TVs. I'm running their UN48JU7500 at 4K@60Hz with no chroma subsampling. This thing allows me to view 10 life-size letter pages in a PDF document simultaneously. And, if you look at the DPI, the pixels are even slightly bigger than your standard 1080p 24" monitor, so you don't have to increase your font-size either. When I first set it up, I was so shocked by its size that I almost regretted my purchase. But just a few days later, I began wishing that I had bought the 55" version! Other than that, I've never been happier with a monitor in my life!

I have this and the 43 inch BDM4350UC. The 43 is better IMO. I also had their BDM3490UC and it was a good looking screen, but suffered badly from backlight bleed and the typical Ultrawide scaling issues. After spending about 40hrs use time with each, the BDM4350UC was the best.

I use Samsung 4K 40 inches TV as monitor. Only cost me $349. and works pretty well !!! Why I need to pay $999 for almost same as my 4K TV ?

Good review, but... I have to point out that no. You don't actually give up any "gaming prous" (5:17) as you could simply make a custom resolution that the game could use to emulate a 21:9 aspect ratio. For 1080p monitors, that's 1920x810. For this thing, Im honestly too lazy to do math right now.

Click bait. this already Philip's (probably) third gen of the large UHD monitor product. The previous versions should be even cheaper. Yet, this their first as a curved screen.

Using 4K TVs for several years already, this is nothing but a laugh for me. So this thing is 4 times smaller than my 78" Samsung JS9500, and I can't imagine myself again sitting behind a desk instead of a couch.

God damnit Linus, WHEN are you going to start giving a fuck about quality in your product advertising? You have tricked younger people, and tech noobs into actually trusting you and what you advertise on your channel (I STILL haven't figured that out), yet there is SO MUCH of what you do on here, that is promoting junk brands and products, without mentioning ANYTHING about quality. You never mention reliability, durability, product quality, or anything that SHOULD matter to the 3.8 million consumers that sub to your channel. I know, I complain about many of your videos, and I know your company IS a marketing business, and putting product quality in your ads WOULD be detrimental to most of your business, so I am not even really talking to you; These comments are meant to get people to do their own research on the crap you advertise, and to hopefully save them some money and frustration because they trusted you and blindly bought something you put on your channel, only to be disappointed immediately, or a few months down the road. You are GREAT at your job, but people need to realize exactly what your job is, you are a marketing team on RU-vid for tech companies, and you make your money from advertising for companies, they somehow don't understand that you are NOT someone who cares about the satisfaction of the consumers watching your videos and their overall experience or happiness with these products. I really think that if a company paid your standard fee, you would advertise something that would result in the death of someones family after a couple of months of use, and you would not give two shits about it, because "they should have known" or "they should have researched it properly". People DON'T do these things, they DON'T know, that is WHY you are successful, people just want to buy new stuff, and they want someone to tell them what to buy. You really SHOULD start a series called "don't buy this shit", that includes Philips, Seagate, Kingston, RCA, et. al, perhaps that will get people to at least THINK about the things you put on here; I doubt it though.

There is another hidden feature in it i.e. by using a 40" Moniter you can destroy your eyesight more quickly.

I say again for the 3rd or 4th time, unsure now. All I want is a: 1920x1200, 60Hz, 1MS, Medium Bezel, 24-27" IPS monitor. I say 24-27" because I'm unsure if I'd be able to see pixels sitting 12-14 inches away. If not then 27 otherwise however much lower so it's sharp but shit's big enough for me to actually see very easily.

You get used to the size pretty darn quick, I've had my 40" Philips BDM4065UC for about a year now and I love it, gaming in 40" 4K 60fps is amazeballs.

Shame you didn't mention about the plasma-style image burn-in that this monitor suffers from (I know because I own this monitor, and nearly sent it back on the day it arrived due to the disappointment)... It takes about a second for the after-image to fade when you drag windows around... particularly bad with the red pixels.
