Mixer shuts down June 20th, 2020.. DrDisrespect gets banned on Twitch on June 26th, 2020. That's less than a week apart. People tend to firget this convenience of timing. As big as Doc is, Mixer had two of Twitch's biggest streamers. Imagine if prime Tom Brady left the Patriots, and decided to return a year later. That new QB they signed in his place would be screwed. My assertation is Doc never got the truth, and still wanted his contract to be paid out. Twitch obliged to do this in a settlement where no one can speak about it.

I will never understand why people, especially well known ones, will start texting minors when they could easily be with someone ACTUALLY LEGAL. Like wtf are you seeing in these kids???

based on the current outcome of the situation, it could be that there was a baseless rumor going around among twitch staff that doc was messaging minors so they panic banned him. Then twitch's legal department settled in court when they couldn't find any evidence of it.

The only reason i can think of why both Doc and Twitch haven’t spoke in it. It’s probably in the terms of their agreement to settle. Doc gets paid, they both move on and never bring it up again.

Doc only had a 3 hour 20 minute stream today--cut it off abruptly 30 min before Midnight Society cut all ties with him (via tweet) after conducting their own investigation. You can see him reading the text or email in real time towards the end of the stream (after he beats Bayle) notifying him of the situation. It's not looking good.

Here in Germany, it is completely normal that you can sue platforms like RU-vid or Twitch if they ban you for unreasonable reasons. It doesn't matter what is written in their terms and conditions on their website, the platforms have a responsibility for you as they are your employer to a certain extent. The platforms must also explain exactly and with proof why you were banned. This means, for example, that a video with a time stamp must be submitted. Otherwise don't even try to defend. It is even possible to file an urgent appeal as it is your source of income that is under threat and if I am not mistaken, you can even sue for damages for the lost profit during this time, but I am not sure. Here in Germany there have already been some people who sued Twitch and RU-vid had to be completely unbanned. By the way, these trials are open to the public and it's always very funny to see how the judges tear their lawyers and their idea of rules to shreds. It's a shame that it's so unimaginable in America and big risky News if someone tyrs it. No platform in the world should be allowed to treat you just the way it wants. What a dystopian world it would be otherwise, where corporations are allowed to do whatever they want to you without any reason.

From what I heard from legal ppl, settlements can be pretty wild on what you can and can't say. Not a lawyer or paralegal myself so I can't confirm, but I trust the person who said it.

Heres the problem. Dr. Disrespect apparently cant talk about it due to the settlement with Twitch, probably some clause in the Settlement itself. Meaning he's probably not going to be able to tell his side of the story. Plus if it was true and Twitch had the logs (which is likely the only way they'd 100% know about this) it shouldve gone beyond a ban into a Federal Investigation. Id take this with the largest amount of salt possible without shutting down my internal organs. Edit: The clause would likely make it so you can't talk about any circumstances surrounding the settlement. Which would likely include the reason for the ban. Now if Twitch drops logs or documents hes fucking cooked and fuck him. But until then we have the word of a single employee. And Dr. Disrespect's inability to do PR.

I dont believe Slasher, the ex-twitch employee, or anyone that says they knew what it was the whole time.... when they never said a thing that proved it. Not a single word. Based off what little info we have, this is my best guess. Doc was messaging a girl. Thought she was of age. Either he ended contact or continued contact without knowing. (That covers why he can't say a minor wasn't involved). Twitch caught wind, and because a minor was involved, immediately terminated Doc. He then sues, but Twitch offers a deal. If it went to court, it could take years for it to meet its conclusion, so Doc took the deal and agreed to the NDA set forth by Twitch. As for the Cody guy, its pretty telling that they worked in the partner programs sector, but was soon relieved from that sector after all this went down. Sounds like he probably messed up big time and blames Doc. But who knows.

That whole situation is crazy. I hope more credible news comes out because I also want to know what happens.

Just saying, if you're going to accuse someone of harming a minor, the evidence that you have should be in the post with your accusation. The burden of proof is on the accuser, not the accused. NDA's can be WILD and EXTREMELY restrictive. You can have situations where it's like 'the alleged wrongdoing wasn't this. No it wasn't that. Or some other thing.' and like someone could narrow it down from that so usually the stipulation is you cannot confirm nor deny ANYTHING regarding the circumstances or you are required to pay everything back plus interest. And if you try and play fast and loose with the rules you're playing with fire and a massive court case. Like you said, it's amazon.

My take so far is Twitch banned him on the fly thinking he was actually talking to a minor, then when he sued them and they looked into it they realized they fucked up along the line somewhere (possibly because they have alot of crazy activist types that work at the company) so they paid the remainder of the contract in settlement with an agreement that they not discuss the case publicly, and Doc is talking alot of legaleze and being extra careful in hopes that the aforementioned Twitch/Amazon backed lawyers don't jump on an opportunity to sue him back for breaking the agreement That's all assuming the claim by the guy is true at all even a little and he isn't just clout farming

The thing is that if the allegations were true, I think most people would not have attempted to take legal action in hopes that the 'truth' doesn't get out. That's a huge can of worms if there is actual proof of the allegation. But if the allegations are dubious and lack evidence, then Twitch is liable for defamation. In which case, most people would sue.

There may be no NDA for that (not that i dived deep into that particular topic, and i can imagine circumstances, where it can be the case)). BUT THERE ARE SETTLEMENTS THAT PREVENT YOU FROM DOING SO. In terms of which parties agree what they can and can not say, and, typically, agree on statements released to a public on completion of settlement. Also, there arecases, where saying stuff like "i have not texted to minors" can land you into wholelot of legal trouble. Like if this statement under circumstances would imply, that person next to you did. I believe you covered story on worldwide ban of a pictures of 2 individuals british goverment issued, i`m sure you can see where i going here after that.
