Dream scenario for the wolves would be malik monk but there's no way in hell that's happening. More realistic options ig will be someone like sexton but also highly unlikely. Ig they'd have to draft someone and hope he hits
They should draft collier with their pick if they can, a good playmaker and in Minnesota unlike USC he has floor spacing which helps him drive and kick
I know all the advanced stats say Gobert makes a huge impact on the wolves, but the eye test just doesn’t add up considering how much they gave up for him and how much he gets paid limiting their flexibility. They essentially have a big 3 with KAT, Ant, Gobert because of payroll and respectfully if your 3rd guy can’t play perimeter defense or street the floor offensively at all, you’re gonna struggle in most series
I don’t think Rudy needs to be a good perimeter defender in order to be elite. You wouldn’t ask Jrue Holiday to protect the rim so why do we expect Rudy to lockdown on the perimeter? Different roles and skillsets. IMO what he needs to improve to help his team more is finishing plays around the basket.
@@fresnoniiji nah fr. I just remember Gobert on the Jazz with Mitchell being a complete liability in the playoffs on both sides of the ball. He won DPOY back to back and both playoffs, he literally got ran off the floor when the clippers and then the Mavs went small. Snyder was having to go 12 deep in his rotation because they couldn’t get any spacing on offense and the clippers and Mavs shooting was killing them. In the modern NBA Gobert looks good in the regular season, but all his flaws get exposed in the playoffs. They are better off having Naz Reid
@@fresnoniijiDallas outplayed Minnesota as a whole, period. Luka and Kyrie outplayed Ant and Kat. PJ Washington and D Jones outplayed McDaniels and Alexander-Walker. I know people hate Rudy, and he could have played better, but I don’t think it all falls on him.
@@Josue-wj2uf this is fair, great way to put it. I’m no coach or actual analyst obviously, but I do feel like big men who aren’t mobile and can’t space the floor are kind of a dying breed and the ones who do exist in the league, don’t have massive contracts like Gobert. Hes expected to be a cornerstone player on a championship team yet the only big men I can think of that can do that is Jokic and MAYBE Embiid although we’ve seen his playoff success. Jokic is so dangerous despite not being mobile because his perimeter defense isn’t good, but his offensive impact makes him a matchup nightmare. Most teams have to double him then he’ll always make the right pass and can shoot. Gobert matchup for him was great for the wolves because Gobert could handle him without help, but every other team you should be able to go small and get Gobert to switch and expose him. All this just to say wolves are kinda stuck and i dont think this current core can win a championship. Role players will also get more expensive as they’ve had success and they can’t afford extension while paying their 3 guys
if you are looking into videos about the past things, I'd love a deep dive into John Stockton's game. You have one section of people saying that he is the best pure point ever, a good scorer who chose to pass instead, etc, while another considers him basically a Malone merchant, and his assists were in large part easy passes to a guy who would then make a quick move to get a bucket as opposed to Stockton creating a good look for them, or finding them on a difficult read.
Magic need a facilitating point guard. Easiest solution would be trading for Markquis Nowell, while the alternative is to get Tyler Kolek to teach Anthony Black how to properly play point guard. Magic already have good shooters, so they need to start learning how to create the shots with what they have.
Real twolves fans going to want tyus jones back the squad. Dude avg so much assist and give you the 3 when it’s needed i don’t think it could ever happen but man it’s what is need rn
For Dallas, yes, they need to find a way to bring back DJJ, but i think they also need another scorer/facilitator because outside of Luka & Kyrie, nobody else is reliable enough to get their own bucket or create open looks for teammates. Probably salary dump Tim hardaway jr to create cap space to resign DJJ and then use Josh green and Maxi money to ideally find a starting small forward that can create for himself and others
Idk why people keep saying the lakers could build around AD with young talent, dude doesnt play and jokic bums him every game they meet, if the lakers start building around the man of glass thats a straight shot to the bottom 5 of the conference, oh also AD is already 31 id guess he has 1-2 years max 3-4 left of being a top 15 player when healthy, im not an AD hater but me or cone would probably be a better 1st option for the lakers
@@FoulTarnished47 hes the best 2nd option in the league when hes healthy but hes 31 and made of glass and paper and has as much offensive game at this point as bam adebayo i wouldnt even trade derrick white for him
@cheap272 Come on, bro. This is just hating at this point. I'm sure he played over 70 games this season, he was a serious contender for DPOY for most of the year, he had a great offensive season, and he had a great individual performance against Jokic in the first round. The narrative all year was that the Lakers weren't capitalising on what was arguably ADs best season as a Laker! Derrick White is a fantastic player, but you use him to add to a team that is already prepared to win. You would never be able to build a team around him the way you would AD.
As a wolves fan I wouldn’t mind trading kat if we could get trae young he would add a shot creating, high volume 3pt shooting and playmaking all things we need
Executive of the year, teammate of the year, 3pt shooting contest champion, allstar game mvp, 1st team all-in season tournament, in season tournament champion and mvp
Spurs should try and get Darius Garland, and if we cant work out some type of 3 team deal with that, we could also try and get Dejounte Murray back. Or ofc just go all in on the draft. I am a big fan of Rob Dillingham, and then maybe a Stephon Castle or a wing
i dont think phoenix wud accept that they arent getting nearly enough value from kd they need to get many picks and young guys from kd if they want to trade him
Maybe because they may simply just run it back, what were we expecting him to say their biggest need is healthy players? OG probably gonna resign so not much to really add on
Atlanta gets Lavine, Caruso & Vucevic for Trae, salary fillers and No.1 pick Win win for both teams as Atlanta can compete immediately with a well rounded roster with good depth while Chicago goes into a semi rebuild around Trae if they dont resign Demar and get some 3 & D wings in free agency
