I personally saw the lotuspro situation unfold and the fact that tokaku was able to make one keypad and share the way to do the pcb wiring was literally insane. Imagine you're paying for a quality product and that product never comes
I think the coaching thing is just a scam, because we all know that ''improving faster'' is just about a few objective advices that everyone can give like: 1) playing a little higher than your comfort (FC) zone. 2) playing a specific set of skill-based maps like finger control/aim/stream specifically and towards that type more to practice it. 3) not trying too hard on a single map unless you want to improve at a lower speed (because this becomes a muscle memory afterwards on a single map. Yes, I speak from experience.) 4) paying $50 on a fucking rhythm game an hour is literally too much. I'd get $10 but $50 is not even close to what you pay for comissioned maps. and yes I think coaching MIGHT work if you're a REALLY new player but now the stuff I just mentioned can be done FREE. So don't be stupid and spend that $50 towards good will
been binging your videos as someone who quit osu! quite some time ago now, and they are perking my interest again... i actually ordered myself a lotus keypad, but once everything came out about them being shady, i swiftly asked for a refund via twitter, since there was seemingly no other way. the exchange i had with the twitter guy was funny asf, dude just said 'pain' when i requested a refund and had me go through paypal to get it...
We just not talking about aplhatechs complete disaster of a launch with the Helios? I was lucky and got a refund after MONTHS of damn near harassing them to send me it but most people got a sorry and a discount on a wooting
I don't know if he's matured at all lately but Spare (and Crai) used to be the biggest pretentious losers the game has ever seen, those 2 along with a LOT of other UK cheaters made it genuinely embarrassing to be a UK player back in the mid 2010's
The video discusses several scams within the OSU community, including NFT scams by top players White Cat and Spar, the Lotus Pro keypad company scam, suspicious links in video descriptions, and the BTMC & DigitalHypno coaching drama. These scams demonstrate the importance of being cautious when engaging with potentially fraudulent activities and highlight the OSU community's general vigilance against such scams.
@@_UberEats_ I ran the transcript and title through my LM with a prompt i developed, so i dont have to watch 10 minutes of bloat and get the core information relating to the title. if you are curious, i got a 2 min vid on the process.
DigitalHypno charged BTMC because he was making content out of DigitalHypno's coaching session seems fair to me not to mention coaching someone like BTMC who is already good at the game is silly it was all planned for content & drama both benefited from it.
i definitely wouldn’t say osu coaching is a scam but honestly there isn’t really much you can be coached on. osu is unique in the sense that it is a game that is completely reliant on technical / mechanical ability and there is no “brain” that goes into it, if you continue to play the game you will improve is the only real coaching you need, but obviously some people can give tips about tapping and if you really want to get into it there’s a whole psychological side of gaming like breaks and energy levels but that really applies to every game.
digitalhypno and btmc are friends and btmc is clearly more well off than habib. Fucking ridiculous to see that with the others great job making the vid longer man
There was legitimate conversations between Karthy, and other people in that thread that I decided not to add, due to it being a long read for the viewer. Plus it's way easier to trust when there are context clues (in the thread/comments) and a link that leads to a deleted tweet. Look at the comments underneath this post for more information/hearsay on Spare. www.reddit.com/r/osugame/comments/q7er91/whitegat_is_the_first_top_player_to_promote/ and hell nah why tf would i use that link, im good. Have fun earning some shit tokens while you're there :)
The reason why digitalhypno upcharged so much is because he knew that it was free subathon content and that ed would be making more money than what he had to pay
I strongly agree that osu coaching is 90% not worth it, because the only 3 advices you can give for improvement are consistency, play more and having a good mindset. That's all. Osu is not a strategy game and in 80% cases you should just turn of your brain and play more. And in my opinion which no one asked Habib did really bad upcharging Btmc. First of all, you cant do that to your friend(i think they were some kind of), even in business you cant just change terms like that
Great Video! the video quality is insane :D btw I got scammed by the pro x touch guy (mentioned in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vcdNyXSTVgE.html ) I would also say that this was a pretty big scam.
