It is a raise. You only lose to one combo JJ and he blocks it.
@stephenjover5857
@stephenjover5857 Год назад
Because we can see the cards, obviously from our standpoint he should be raising because he loses ONLY to pocket Jacks. If it were Hold'em MAYBE he might have re-raised but because It's Omaha I guess he was scared of him having pocket Jacks in this situation because it is a slightly bigger possibility he might have had him beat.

@ichmagheringway89

i guess the reason he called is that in his head he might've thought "does he really call with anything worse here?" and we know he probably would've but still.

How do the pot become 2,875k in the first hand? I thought and have played at TDA ruled tournaments, and it's never allowed to count the ante into a pot sized bet.. In the first hand it seems like HJ have bet 1125 and get called by Button. (2250) + Blinds and antes of 625. That would made the pot 2,875k. Would love if the editor added these things, runouts and such is not interesting. I always skip those, I'm here for the decisions made :)

5:59 why is 2 of spades so brutal? bc 45 gets there?
@deltaneutral2783
@deltaneutral2783 Год назад
No, there's no 5-4 in his range anymore after the flop and turn action, not that it even matters anyway. The 2 is the most brutal card in the deck there because his 6-3 FH is the 3rd nuts, any other card would decrease the value of his FH significantly.
@davidelet3652
@davidelet3652 Год назад
Yes. Also 45 comes in so he could potentially get value from that on river. As a higher card like an A or 7, he might check behind.
@MrJoosebawkz
@MrJoosebawkz Год назад
@@davidelet3652 ya i was wondering if it was because there are more hands he can get value from. Wasn’t considering that essentially his hand ranking didn’t change/the board didn’t make it easier for him to lose the minimum

How has Tuckmans ineptitude for the game of No Limit Hold Em never evolved to a point of where he makes sense and doesn't just rattle his gums spewing off the obvious from a poker hand observation ? "Lau blocks a set of Queens" -- as the guy literally has a set of Queens so how does he block it ? Like he uses terminology that he clearly does not understand.
@Itsabigworldoutthere
@Itsabigworldoutthere Год назад
He used the term correctly. If you have a set of queens you block you're opponent having a set by card deduction
@TylerDavid-on8qr
@TylerDavid-on8qr Год назад
@@Itsabigworldoutthere But the dude literally had a set of queens, so if he blocks it, how can he have it ? That is where the use of the term is wrong. Both can't be right.
@Itsabigworldoutthere
@Itsabigworldoutthere Год назад
@@TylerDavid-on8qr to hold a set of queens is to block. Block just means you're opponents hand is limited by what you hold eg if you have 66 and the flop is 226 you block you're opponent from having 6's full
@cypherkaosw4070
@cypherkaosw4070 Год назад
@@Itsabigworldoutthereis correct. It means he can presume that his opponent would not likely have that card, but in this case he did have it.
@TylerDavid-on8qr
@TylerDavid-on8qr Год назад
@@Itsabigworldoutthere Your use of blocking with the 66 full house hand is correct. Tuckman is a horrible commentator and was talking about the other guy, who only had a pair of queens. He was talking about him blocking a set of queens by holding a pair of queens when in fact the other guy did have a set of queens. I think you were mistaken for who I was referring to, but I was only referring to who Tuckman ignorantly said blocked a set of queens by holding a pair of queens.

If Martinez would’ve ripped that full house JJ666, 66633 would’ve called and he would’ve won the tournament
