Other words you don't want to hear "My torch battery is almost dead", "My foot is wedged between these two rocks", "Hello, your the first people I've seen in two years says a man eating a raw crayfish" or "It's my precious, mine I tell ya"
I want to thank you for allowing me to go along with you guys on this adventure. I have been fortunate enough to go into a few caves when I was young as a boy scout. Now that I'm old and paralyzed I will never have the chance to do it again. It's surprising to see such a large lobster under the water in that cave.
I can identify, in a small way, with you. We used to hike in the UP of MI for years + climb mine rock waste piles. We were in a few mines also. I slid down a few of the piles. LOL Watching someone's video is much easier. I just wish we knew the state they were in. I might be able to identify some of the minerals.
My son loves your videos. He has always wanted to go caveing like you all do. He was so excited to see cave pearls. He had never seen them and all the crystals and the formations, fossils. I used to go exploring even with my kids until my 3rd child. He was born with Spina Bifada and is disabled. So we go mining instead, for fossils and crystals and gold.He love collecting them.He is 30 now, but after 11 strokes, he will always be at a permanent age of 14. He loves going to Herkermer Dimond mine to dig for crystals he love to collect them. Thank for bringing smiles to my son and sharing your adventures and letting him see everything ❤❤ Stay safe 💙
Like bro! Fr?? That's what I think about, imagine the first people who discovered it? That's why they built a system to enter the cave so good and then you will find all this. It amazes me!
If you think that's impressive, wait till you hear the echo in some of their Ellison's Cave "deepest pit in America" videos, the Fantastic Pit specifically. 😎
I wish you would map a cave and explore it completely on several episodes, that would be great! And if you frequently show the map on screen one could get to know the cave virtually through your videos. Cave at home serie 😂
Can't stress the use of small colored reflectors enough in areas of doubt. Pick them as you head out. Or glow sticks. Great cave. That light must weigh a ton.
Yeah I'll be honest I've never done that at all but it feels so incredibly obvious to leave bread crumbs along the way... I'm a bit baffled that they never seem to really try to avoid getting lost all that much? But perhaps they're exaggerating the drama for the purpose of the video
Before watching this channel I had no idea such things existed beneath the ground...So amazing...I understand how addicting this kind of exploring can become...Cheers and be safe yall
was that in the Trenton Rising Fawn area near Chattanooga? I caved a lot 25 years ago in that area myself. Howards Hurricane/waterfall. I cant remember i think was the name of one of the caves
Please take care and be prepared James, you're a nice person and it would suck to see anything happen to you. I know from my own dangerous outdoor adventures the thrill of getting lost, it feels good but is also terrifying and could kill you.
Thanks for taking us along! An old man now, in the mid 70's some friends and I used to go spelunking regularly. This looks very much like 'the big room' in Sloan's Valley Cave in Kentucky. Is that where this was? I remember it well. Shot at a bat on the ceiling. Rock came right back and hit me in the eyeball and had to helped out of the cave afterward. Good times.
I looked up Sloans Valley Cave.. Unfortunately, this doesn't look like the same cave. I could be wrong, but if I had to guess, I bet it's in TN... Similar geology, reminding me a little bit of Rumbling Falls, or Camps Gulf Cave with those super high, domed ceilings. 🤔
@@R3TR0R4V3 Some aspects of Sloans Valley may take added research/old maps. The big room was like a huge railroad station size. Dome shape roof at 35-45 ft. high in places. Some tiny stalactites that sparkled like diamonds when lighting them up, and flocks of bats up there too. IDK. It's been 49 years. Maybe it's flooded or blocked by now.
I used to have a blue crayfish in a tank, and one day after having it for several months I came down and saw him dead. I was bummed, left the tank running and scooped hik out and threw him away and several days later I cane hone from work and there he was in the tank hiding under a the back rocks. He had just molted his skin To get bigger. It literally looks like a dead crayfish, legs body claws every detail. Just limp. I bet those aren't dead and just molted bodies maybe and they are still there
@@valearl4693 I know & I would never truly disturb this ancient form of preserved nature, it is to be highly respected ; it's not like walking in a dry or wet creek bed picking up everything that looks interesting & taking it home... Spelunking has a different set of rules👍
@@Wheeliecoolers It's basically respect for the naturalness of ancient nature, that and to allow others to see the untouched beauty of natural formations... I, myself would never willingly change or remove anything from a fixed position, but (and I'm NOT saying this is acceptable), if there were a loose, shiny pebble you picked up & put in your pocket (and it didn't change anything), no one would probably know except you!
@mykolatkachuk7770 no but the percentage of people that actually give content creators donations, let alone TWENTY DOLLARS is ridiculously low. Ever think of that? Asking for a simple "thank you" is NOT craving attention, bonehead!
What's more amazing than, what you guys discover is the fact all this is under your feets roads, shopping malls ect and more couldn't even imagine this. Sick video boys
@@kingschen1394 Mexican tetra (cave fish) are not entirely uncommon in the aquarium hobby, and crawfish are a great pair with the fish as they are actually quite agressive ambush hunters, you need a tough or feisty tankmate.
Sure wish that you guys had stereo cameras to give a sense of the space within this cave! Great video journey through the dark passages down there! Those rooms are incredibly gigantic! I have literally saved a lot of your adventures onto a USB drive and titled it the Action Adventure Twins Gallery! I can go 'virtual caving' with you guys on my television anytime I want! Thank You so much for your many thrilling journeys into the worlds without light!
That cave was huge. I think it’s really old with so much breakdown everywhere, all the formations are probably long gone under the rubble. Not pretty but pretty amazing. Great video!
I watch these vids and it's just crazy to me how many caves there are, and just how extensive and big they are. The term "solid ground" almost seems like a misnomer.
So this should maybe be named the slip n slide cave.....🤣...at time 28:10 you said 'dude! Side passage!' which reminded me of "Squirrel!" From the movie Up😆
Some of the biggest rooms in the USA, are at Mammoth Cave national Park in Kentucky. Look it up. I'm older now, and in poor health, but was a spelunker like you when I was young. Love watching your stuff man. Be safe and go deep 😂
Yeah I was thinking the same thing about how it reminded me totally of Mammoth cave and there are allegedly 300 me of spaghetti passages and a lot of them are not on the park property I imagine so it wouldn't surprise me if this place where they're at is part of that system. Because Mammoth cave is not known for its formations but for its passages and big rooms like you say and the ceiling looks identical from the things I've seen inside of Mammoth cave. And I am sure there are other openings besides the grand opening where the park is, especially with rooms that big and I remember them saying something about rivers going through it or something it's been a very long time.
@@ByGraceIGo It all depends on where you go in the Mammoth Cave system. Some areas have unbelievable striking formations like in the Frozen Niagara or the Gothic Avenue (super cool), or my favorite, Great Onyx Cave which is in the park but it doesn't connect with Mammoth Cave that they know of. The lantern tour of it is mind blowing imo. There's also some areas (tours) that you have to do belly crawls and squeeze through small openings and climb over really rough terrain. Much like what these guys often do. You wear a headlamp. I never got to do that one and never will. If I get down on the ground I'll never get up. lol There are many different areas and tours in Mammoth Cave. Think you're talking about the River Styx part with the water. It's done by lantern light and from what others have said it is kind of rough and is slick in spots next to the water. It's been a long time for me too. My family always stopped there when travelling. We'd stay in Cave City and visit the attractions in the area and the different caves.
5 minutes in and its already the coolest cave. You guys must have been on cloud 9 on this trip! Those are like some fantasy minecraft caves we dreamed of exploring huh?
Yes there are. And an underground cave highway that stretches all the way from S America to N America. See Gen6 productions with Steve Quayle, Timothy Alberino
Get a bigger crew, more batteries, and some boats or inner tubes of some kind. That cave system deserves much more exploring! Don't forget a lunch ... LOL
I agree. Also y'all might invest in some walkie talkies to keep in touch in case you get separated or hurt. I also hope you carry a first aid kit also. Best of luck in ya adventures best places to go when the world turns ugly to lol. Just need food. You already got water 💧 lol. Thanks for allowing me to go on this adventure with you. God bless and Stay safe out there. 🎉😊
So one day someone notices wind blasting out of a crack, someone then decides to blast an opening and tunnel down and there is an entire other world down there? How are there not literally crowds of people traveling through it all the time? I mean maybe there is but it didn't sound like it. Seems like a new discovery? Pretty amazing.
Thank you guys and girls for taking us on this tour of a really cool cave. So many have been closed off and buried that its nice to find some still open.
It reminds me of Mammoth cave. 7 miles???? Do you ever check your oxygen with a meter? Do you ever read these comments? Just asking because I know there's a lot of comments but I never ever get a response or anything . And of course you never ever say where you're at cuz I guess you're afraid somebody else is going to go in and wreck the place. I don't expect you to say the exact location but just knowing what state it's in would be nice I mean I live in West Virginia and there's over 4,000 caves here. I personally would not be screaming and yelling and making noise in there you just never know what kind of fragile environment would respond to vibrations and frequencies of the human voice. Well I'm glad you got out safe!
Common man, gotta have a Sign-In book at some dives. Done it once or twice myself, because it tickled me to do so. My geologist friends love these videos by the way. Those that're professionally so, and the few that're still at uni. Few say theyd kill to go on a dive like this. Back when i was diving like this took a few down easy dives with me. Im too old now, an 50, to get away with it these days lol. Not dived like this in 10+ years.
A whole other world beneath our feet You guys gotta go back. And like others, I would be down to see you guys demonstrate the logistics of cave camping.
Some tiny kayaks or inflatable rafts would be useful for this cave. A camping trip (during a dry spell, of course) would be warranted. Where is this? I want to go!
Recently, Ive been watching all these videos about how cave divers get lost / stuck / trapped in caves. Cant stop thinking about "What if their light goes out and they cant find their way out" terrifying
It's honestly breathtaking to see the size that that River and those rooms were. Imagine how much water it takes to carve all that out and how long?. Wow! Really like the light too
If you think this one has some impressive echo, wait till you see some of their Ellison's Cave - 'deepest pit in America' videos... Now _that_ is some serious echo! 😎
_Oooh my heart sank when the __2:08__ mark started. _*_shudder_*_ And the texture on that rock at __9:51__ [amazing]. I don't know how you boys do it but I'm sure glad you did. Thanks a million for taking me along in your pocket. Magnificent_
That orange oozing spot is likely slime mold, fun fact: Tokyo used this slime mold to make much more efficient train routes, as it find food (oats generally) very efficiently. Also you guys should get one of those cheap
Dudes! That was gnarly! I really enjoyed watching this video! 👍🏼Question... Does the young lady that's with you guys a lot of the time have her own channel?
If that's an Imalent flashlight, those things are no joke. I've got one that's just 18,000 lumens and it'll light up a football field. Been hoping ya'll would get a super bright light. Now you can really show those caves! Nice!
It looked like you guys where in a desert with a rock ceiling especially with all those dunes around. Geez you guys are as bad as I am about slipping and I'm not a caver lmao Holy damn that was the underground grand canyon
Thank you for filming that so I could see such beauty. Seriously you guys scare the hell out of me!! When you say you are are lost, or think one of you is alone, or you might fall…. I can’t breathe at times! But if I could be there I would never make it far because I would be looking at rocks! And going crazy over crystals!! I would like to see close ups of those crystals and the shiny white or blue stones. Love your vids. Stay safe please!
