The Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry definitely have a few detractors online so today we look at some of the worst anti Steph Curry takes. Hope you enjoy.
People just state the obvious...nothing special being said "If curry wasnt part of a dynasty he wiuldnt be in our top 5 DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THE MAN CREATED A DYNASTY
If anyone thinks curry isn’t the best shooter in history they simply don’t understand basketball. Stephs gravity creates open shots for his entire team. Curry’s advanced stats show how insanely valuable he is.
steph is definately top ten of all time and hes a generational talent he changed the game to a 3 pt and fast pace scoring type of offense that still is going
@@kingdollaz302 COOKS follow manuals and can make dishes but don't UNDERSTAND the art like CHEFS.. doing something professionally DOES NOT equate to UNDERSTANDING... We have taxi drivers that don't understand driving and I can go on
1- Curry built that dynasty, 2- Everything said about Giannis are true, but are personal accomplishments, but the league is still the same, Curry on the other hand, every team in the league had to readjust their game plan to add more 3pts shooters and more 3pts volume shooting because of Curry, and millions of kids today want to be like Curry, that's how he impacted the whole game of basket ball like Jordan did. Personal accomplishment is great but impacting the game for generations to come is greater.
The people who hate on Curry dead ass just don't watch him play/have no idea what he did to turn GSW into the team they are. You can't argue with some1 that has no knowledge, but thinks they're right regardless. If they think they're right with no info, they clearly dgaf about the topic.
"We never seen him in a Dame like situation." So WTF was 2013-2015???? Dude said that like Steph pulled a KD and joined an established franchise. Steph LEAD an unproven Klay and Draymond to be champs. Dame didn't do that with CJ then or now. Some folk just are haters.
That guy that talks about Steph Curry is a professional hater first the hater said Steph can’t win without klay playing consistently well and then the professional hater was making excuses why Steph Curry won the professional hater pick against Golden State last year and the professional hater was wrong again do not take that professional hater serious when it comes to talking basketball why people give him time to shine! He’s a joke!
People like you don't understand tough d applied to stefake curry he'll not be a great shooter at all. That's why on his 3rd year he just average 14pts a game. Moro*
The fact the only person you can argue as more impactful is a 2 way 7 foot freak athlete, then you got a 6"2 guy with a motor running around screens creating more opportunities for teammates then any player in nba history and that's a fact you wanna say antekumpo is more impactful it's only bc defense
Steph's worse shooting season is similar to or better than the average year for any other "greats" like ray, Reggie or bird. This is on top of higher volume, greater average distance, and greater difficulty (off the dribble more defensive attention away from the basket).
They never want to mention the percentage of makes compared to other greats. Steph shoots the most and at the highest percent of makes. That alone means their argument is null and void.
Curry can miss his next 1000 three and have a better shooting percentage that Ray Allen. I can’t believe they didn’t bring up shooting percentage either.
@@darrellwilliams1991 Not only because of volume but the difficulty of threes that Curry takes. Reggie Miller and Ray Allen were not pulling up off the dribble from 35. They were, largely, shooting it right on the three point line off of catch and shoots, and because they took fewer threes, the ones they took were good looks. Miller and Allen weren't taking difficult threes from 30+ feet. Steph haters conveniently never mention these things when they try to make the argument that Miller and Allen would have made more threes than Curry if they played in this era.
And the whole shooting talk about Ray and Reggie, and then steph being able to do it off the dribble.. you gotta bring up the eras.. back then people didn't dribble dribble dribble and shoot 3s.. people only dribbled with a purpose. Steph literally changed the game in that way.. if he would've been playing in the 80s and 90s Steph wouldn't be playing the way he is today. Steph literally made basketball a different game on offense. He's really the only player to change the way the sport is played in this time period
@@melvinhhcp3615 right i never got the hate steph is getting, one of the few nba players who altered and changed the game ....theres only 5 other men in the whole nba history who has done this
So he changed the way they play the game...you don't think he would have had the same influence back then...why would he be a different player then than he is now...no one was doing what he does until he started doing it...he wouldn't be a different player...would just be playing in a different era. I don't think his identity changes at all.
@darrellwilliams1991 you gotta remember he'd been watching different players play growing up.. you can't just take the guy from right now and place him into the era.. everything would change.. he'd been watching guys play in the 70s and then playing college ball without a 3 point line.. that's why ball was played differently and why bigs were so important for so long
So you think his mind doesn't work the same...the things he does no one was doing like he does...so what stops him from doing the same in any era...lol...same player different era still would be a different player than the ones already doing it. Use logic people
6:44 I hate arguments like this cause you can literally say that about anyone, if you switch someone’s teams and take away the accomplishments everyone’s legacy is altered
This is very stupid. I agree to a point. If Browns drafted Tom Brady, he isn't going to win 7 super bowls but it doesn't mean he isn't a good player. Of course, you put an elite player on a bad team, they aren't going to win as much championship they did. If Tom Brady was trade to the 2002 Texans, he isn't going to win a super bowl because that team is bad.
For Fun 7:25 Instead Michael Jordan went to the 30 win Bulls and brought them to 40 wins instantly. 7:33 Instead Magic Johnson went to the 47 win Lakers and brought them to 60 wins instantly.. with a Championship. 7:39 Instead Larry Bird went to the 29 win Celtics and brought them up to 61 wins instantly.
Yes you are so right 👍🏿 some of those idiots forgot the time when Steph curry had five guys on him and he still step back and made the three ball on them and the coach just raised his hand and laughed 😂
@@duanemcfadden8878 Yeah he crossed up the entire Clippers squad and CP3 without even seeing him, then crossed him again on the baseline and made him fall then hit the shot 😂 😂 😂. #Epic
One thing Ticket TV is Gon do and that's D Ride 🚴🏿♀️ Giannis🤣 Ticket definitely gon be for Giannis...But to add on to this video,I can't understand how Steph Curry can criticized this season, when he's been nothing short of Great by putting up Numbers...His team has taking a slide way down from where they were last season...The Warriors aren't playing the defense they were playing last season...Many reasons why is there more younger players and they lost Gary Payton Jr and Otto Porter...This team needs better perimeter wings to go with Wiggins...Klay Thompson is struggling on defense at times and he's shooting a career low but yet he's 2nd on the team in attempts!! Steph needs his teammates to step up!!! And all of this criticizing Steph by RU-vidrs is just Blasphemous
facts i never understood the culture of putting the blame on the star players when they are delivering but the rest of the team forgets how to play it happens in a lot of sports
I don't understand. What were they watching? Steph didn't come into a god tier lineup. The Warriors made great decisions with him, but why do we punish players for GM's doing their job? He became their system because he was great. If you are great enough to become a key piece in a system you need to be praised not knocked down.
When Jordan went to Chicago, they were the worst team in the league. He turned them around and built something. That's what greatness does. Steph did the same. You can't say it about many.
I'm not dissing anyone but if lakers fail its about the bench. But if warriors fail its the top players fault namely steph? How do you say double standard my friend And it doesn't matter which team you go to. If you make an impact you make an impact
Salties just hate that Steph is light-skinned, GIFTED, GORGEOUS and GREAT!!!!!! HAHAHA!!! Historically, the general consensus has been that light-skinned ballers are too soft to go hard and be great ie; Magic, Jordan, Bryant, LeBron, Durant, Irving, etc; Curry has destroyed that myth and people can't handle it
There are always be people in this world that negative there is nothing we can do but ignore them and move on I like how you put all the numbers and stats together great job 👍everyone in this world will not love all people 💯🌷🙏
That's cap bruh. Ray Allen used to come off screens too. Ray Allen revolutionized shooters moving off ball and getting open when he was with the Celtics.
The era of the goat debate is over. We need to start talking about who is the best at their position. Basketball is a team sport. Nobody wins a championship by themselves. We all know this. (Insert crying Jordan meme)
I think Steph is probably the best shooter of all time but I personally like to wait until they retire. However what those other guys said about Steph is just flat wrong. I do prefer Ray Allen to Steph but that is because I modeled my game after him since Steph wasn't in the league when I developed.
The homie ticket. I once made a comment to a guy in tickets live stream. Ticket thought I was talking about him and cussed me tf out. Lol I kept tryna tell ticket yo I wasn’t talking to him but he was already too lit
The only ppl who wanna see Steph fail are Bron fans who are upset because he’s lost to Steph so many times. Some of these ppl say he’s just a shooter and others say he’s not the best shooter like make up your mind. 🤦🏽♂️
The reason those lebron fans are attacking Currys greatness is because steph Curry stole lebrons shine and some of the rings he would have gotten. Plus lebron fans like to tear down other players to make lebron look better.
Giannis to Curry might as well be Russell to Wilt. One wins rings and a bunch of records, the other is one of the greatest ever but can only win a couple rings max. Who’s career do you want. Either is probably just fine.
It's because he's small. He's small for the NBA they want him to fail cuz he's not suppose to be this good because he's just 6'3. They just can't believe a guy not so athletic is destroying their favorite star player
Ray Allen didn't always need/use those screens... I would say his degree of difficulty shot making was actually pretty damn high... I think Curry is higher than Ray... But not as wide of a margin, as U made it out to be.. especially bucks n sonics days....
Curry could miss his next 1000 3s and still have a higher shooting percentage from 3 than Ray Allen, despite regularly taking much more difficult shots. The margin between Allen and Curry is wide as hell. Not to mention that even now in his mid 30s, Curry is still playing the same way he has the majority of his prime career. He hasn't had to resort to being a shoot and catch specialist like Allen did in his mid 30s, further proving that Curry is the better player and better shooter.
Steph is literally careeer 40% 3pt shooter ray is not. Curry is the reason why everyone today shoot this many threes he act like Curry didn’t change to 3pt shooting
Stats and accomplishments are to compliment your impact on winning not the other way around it’s only people who don’t watch the game who think players like Giannis or Reggie and Allen are better but that’s not how you play the game you play to win and Steph moved off ball to win not cause he couldn’t be on ball.
@@benjaminan1183 Giannis isn't a lockdown defender he is an excellent help defender. To allude that Steph doesn't pay defense is factual dishonest because he does defend.
@@percybedford6266 Impact =/= how good you are. It's just like how Kidd's old teams dropped off more in terms of wins after his departure than Shaq's did after his own. Simply cause playmaking is more irreplaceable, but not inherently more valuable than scoring and defense. The defensive gap is ginormous and Giannis' stats are better.
Stats aside. Curry creates and hits shots in a way that changed the NBA from a paint-first, mid-range game into a 3 point, space and pace style that it is today. 1st and best to do it.
@@seymourbutts5277 wasn't the NBA already going into more of a world/FIBA style of play with the big man shooting 3's and there for that gave Curry and the GSW enough motive to shoot it at will? I'm asking because Curry was doing this at Davidson in college and when he came into the league it didn't change the league vis-à-vis he didn't change the NBA. It was already changing and it just fit his style from college.
@James Ward I didn't see it that way. Yes the stretch big was beginning to emerge, but prior to Curry the 3 pointer was never the first point of attack. Since Curry came into the league the average attempts per team has almost doubled from 18 to 34 attempts per game. I'd argue that it was Curry's proficiency at shooting threes that sparked the analytics to value the 3 point shot over an "inefficient" mid-range two.
@@seymourbutts5277 I agree about Curry's proficiency, but I always try to tell people Curry didn't change the game. The game was changing and it fit what Curry was doing in college. The overseas game valued 3's already because it made sense. The NBA forced foreign big men to play different here. What is hilarious to me is it seems like no one seen him in college, so the world seems to think this is new. Curry was drafted in '09. They didn't win a Championship til '15. He didn't change the game. When it changed it fit him, so he exploited it. Classic Case Study: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RZp4Ur9qQZQ.html
@@j.a.ward13 I watched a lot of curry at Davidson especially during that final four run. He was always a good shooter (I attribute it somewhat to genetics or upbringing being Dell's kid), but also a good finisher at the rim. But I credit golden state for having the sense to exploit his gifts and develop an offense that highlighted this advantage. You're free to believe he didn't influence how the game is played today, but there still isn't anyone better at scoring that well from distance than Curry. Who can you recall before him routinely taking 30 foot threes and it not being considered a bad shot? Because of him it's now a totally acceptable shot choice given you're capable of knocking them down.
Steph doesn’t need screens to get open either. His handles are insane. But when you have the stamina and cardio of Steph and the other team can’t keep up with you, it’s just to easy to use screens
If GSW misses the playoffs, Steph should get majority of the blame. He won't get crucified by it unlike other stars like Lebron simply because he has won 4 rings in the last what, 8 years? He gets it done half the time so he people gives him a pass. He isn't like Harden, Cp3 or Westbrook who always end up short year in and year out.
I'd be great if these people would come with the same energy for Damian Lillard. The guy has gotten a pass his entire career, with Portland's struggles always being everyone else's fault, never Lillard's. When are people going to realize that while Lillard is a great individual talent, he isn't a leader and not a guy who makes his teammate's better. Lillard, every year, has the built-in excuse of ohhhhh well his teammates aren't great and Portland's bench isn't the best. Every time Lillard goes up against Curry and Golden State, it's Dame who folds and plays poorly while Curry shows out.
I agree. All these bozos will say anything to bring down Steph Curry. Damian Lillard is a very good player, but he will never be Steph Curry. Yes, Luka Doncic, Lebron James and Ja Morant are very good players as well, BUT, they only think of their individual scores. They never think of helping their team mates get better to win as a TEAM. Time and time again, these bozos question Steph's Legacy. Time and time again, they've been proven wrong. Steph has already proven that he is the Greatest Shooter in the NBA. He has won 4 NBA CHAMPIONSHIPS and got an MVP playing just for one (1) Team, the GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS. Michael Jordan is one of the GREATEST, no questioning this fact. But these bozos are but a few of the long list of Curry Haters. Their behavior is less to be desired, and they think that THEY ARE ALL KNOWING. I do hope you know what you are doing ... what you are saying. Cheers, guys !!!
I agree with him on the bench part. I am sick of hearing about GS bench. Klay curry green and Andrew need get it done when they are healthy. And let's be real they wasn't looking good then
Ticket tv has good points and knows his basketball everyone has takes that some don’t agree on the truth to me due to the era and rule changes is somewhere in the middle with Steph I been following Steph since college and knew he should of went #1 in that draft
Be a guest on Player's Choice if you're willing to face 'em like a man instead of taking shots from afar. Ticket Vs. The World is on next week, see ya there.
