How can we stop the implementation of CBDCs when the every day person has virtually no voice in our governments? It's naive to conclude government is 'terrifying'. Let's take the recent California flooding as an example. Do you really believe that if government got out of the way the people effected by the floods would get much help from anywhere else? Most people don't even have enough resources to take care of themselves and were it not for government [and the taxes they collect from all over] a vast majority of those effected would see little to no relief. Government is the sole entity in any organized social group that sustains civility, mediates disputes, serves up justice, provides roads and bridges because most of the time private industry doesn't see such things as sufficiently profitable. Government helps fund airports, rail lines, air traffic control, policing of public roads, etc. etc. all of which are necessary to sustain civility. there are issues when it comes to voting with a blockchin system, namely who would control it and other security issues, not to mention to it would need to be a public blockchain to retain the trustless aspect and certainty. Consider if Australia did the blockchain voting after : First the Optus hack, followed by the Telstra hack and then the Medicare Hack ... So much data stolen by Hackers, because the Government mandates the collection and digital storage of the personal information. Voting is best left I think, to a paper ballot counted on the day. However maybe some kind of Private Pre-polling voting on a Blockchain would be good as a comparison to be compared with the physical and securer vote.

She's not wrong. I work for a company that offers banking technology. Currently we have the tech to stop transactions from whatever businesses we deem to be 'prohibited'. We can stop transactions to/from certain countries, we can place a total ban on certain goods etc and so so much more...and that's with fiat. A CBDC take that 100% further.

This is terrifying stuff. There have been many instances in history of national governments either causing or contributing to financial crises. Also, often these governments have seemed to be clueless about how to remedy the situation. It would be a horrendously bad idea to allow any federal government to take total control of the economy.

Every single social organization from the prehistoric cave clans to the 21st century has found it necessary to have some form of mediating 'government'. The more complex a social organization usually requires more government because of the complexities that emerge out of population size. One thing I fail to understand: what would bring VALUE to CBDCs and encourage people not only to earn in CBDC, but also to save in that currency? all FIAT currencies are "backed" by debt. What will back CBDCs? The way I see it now is that most people will not see much value in such a heavily controled currency and will end up dumping it to other currencies and assets.

@@raheemallen2003 The Book of John... it might be news to you but back in the 1940-60s businesses were not permitted to be open on Sundays in many states. They were called 'blue laws'. Fortunately, no one had to get any branding in order to shop on Mondays. Far too many people and for far too long people have been perpetuating biblical hogwash. Prophesy is just another name for story-telling. And of all the prophesies in the bible, few have come to pass. Take for example in the Book of Matthew, Jesus told his disciples that after his crucifixion he would "return in their lifetime". No one's seen him yet [at least not for 'real']. If one considers disciples had traveled all over the Middle East before they died, it's not unreasonable they had 'gone over the cities of Israel before or at the same time as their travels throughout the ME. That's one of the lovely characteristics of the bible, it's so full of ambiguity, conflicting claims, analogy, euphemism, etc. the bible is for the most part meaninglessness with the possible exceptions of some moral teachings. So yeh, it's not unreasonable to conclude that Jesus would return during the life of his disciples.

I find regulation to be strangling. For example You cannot have a very small business, because they are just not feasible because of governmental costs - such as social security. CBDCs would entirely eliminate economical grey area. You could not possibly exist economically without gov approval, which sets a bar. So it's work for a corporation, or die.
I am currently staying in South Africa, where there is almost no cash anymore. Ppl gladly pay everything on their mobiles via apps/electronic payment, even just an apple in a market. For those of you overseas- look up Australia's 'Indue' card. This is a government card that is given to welfare recipients and they can only use the money on this card and only on approved items/ at approved places. Farmer's markets- where produce is obviously fresher & sometimes cheaper, is unable to a accept the card. This is real.
In your case you are talking about welfare under a different name. In the U.S. these benefits ( welfare ) are also controlled which is only fair being it is money given to you by the government out of the pockets of your fellow taxpayers. CBDC will also control this as well as all money even money that is earned by your own hard work through no help of the government. I live in Australia. Yesterday afternoon I went to log in to my bank account to check pay has gone. Shocked to find when logged in the message was there are current bank accounts in my name. Went to the bank in person and they tell me my bank had an outage an hour ago it took all night and into the morning when I had access. This was Australia wide and no one had access to their money in that time. A few weeks ago another bank had the same outage causing customers unable to access their accounts .

I certainly have many reasons to not want digital currency. Maybe my first complaint would be the requirement that it could only be spent where digital services are available. I also want nothing of more government control, especially when so many have proven to be asinine in their decisions.

Real Estate is only worthwhile for the place you live in - the rest is pointless unless there are no council rates / land taxes and no eminent domain laws. In Australia, the govt uses eminent domain to force people out of properties, just to sell them to the likes of Blackrock or Vanguard, or to their mate who happens to be a developer. If your land can be taken from you for peanuts (crappy bottom of market value) and you can't say no, whats the point? Bullion, art, tangibles you can take with you to other places are what you should use as stores of value.

If the government offers Universal Basic Income with the condition that one accepts a CBDC account, I think many people will accept. Too many people are financially desperate and will accept anything that helps them get by, even if that means the loss of freedom.

Exactly. It's obvious that once DC becomes the norm. It would be very easy to just convert all global currencies Into a single global payments system.. Wonder what the currency would be called. Earth Coin, Earth Dollar Global pay, consumer credit,? You know the next logical step from.a single currency... A single global governance...
@Sh T It helps me make decisions as to how to manage my money and the kind of things I will or won't support. It also gave me a new appreciation for my ability to still go out and trade my goods and services for cash.
Localization and organization is the key to our continued freedom. We must create or continue to use the dollar in local exchanges (transactions), refuse to use the cdbc, organize, and be ready for the fight. ...because you can bet that there will be one. The best thing for humanity is eliminating as much government as possible. Also the likes of Klaus Schaub, Bill gates,, sorts etc should be stripped of all their wealth and distributed to the victims of their crimes.

Hi Sorelle I would like to see bigger coverage and brainstorming on how to stop CBDC comming to our everyday life. I saw these videos about threats of CBDC soo many times on all different channels but everyone is very brief on solutions. As much as I understand we have limited options but still....
Governments worldwide are giving themselves to much power & control, & should be more accountable & answerable to the people who they're meant to serve & represent. Big government & big business is getting out of control.
End taxes on lower middle class. Let everyone that wants use an acre of free tax free land to grow their own food and live on. Move toward people getting their needs via independence trade and chairty instead of taxes. Ban farmm subsidies

Ever wondered what would they do if we stopped to vote, to listen to them- if we respected each other and done things beyond and around them(goverments). If all said we don't want you, rule those who want to listen to you. Remember, they have nothing without people- we are the true value of this world, all things they(governing)have are there thanks to us- our compliance. If we turned to God and His commandments and nothing else we would have the world these people are terrified of- world of free,wise,fearless, just and selfreliant. America is now implementing a 1099K form for 3rd party payers like Pay Pal and Venmo for any transaction over $600. Failure to report that as income may result in IRS scrutiny or an audit.. We passed the Inflation Reduction Act that had embedded in it $80 billion additional (over their current budget) funding for the IRS... now we know why.....
I see this trend across many platforms, many channels, many people who inform you of all this impending doom but none of them leave you on a positive note. Not very many will tell you what we can do, almost like saying without saying there's nothing you can do. I notice this more and more as I search for the truth but at least she said without us, they have no power at the end of the video that counts for something. We should remember that
90% of purchases are digital now and trackable , we need a digital bill of rights for the people . Also your car has the technology to write you a ticket for speeding but it doesn't at least not yet......
@@Abundantiaco Wouldn't achieve anything. Even the GDPR doesn't. The problem is that the regimes are exempt from any such regulation. Remember they do it under the guise of stopping crime, human trafficking and money laundering... even though its only really for complete and utter total control.
