There have been many upsets in sports history, and it's difficult to say which ones are the biggest. Some notable examples include Optic losing to Cloud 9 at the 2016 COD League World Championships, and Atlant Faze losing to Seattle Surge. These upsets are considered some of the biggest because they were unexpected and had significant consequences.

Yeah cuz CoL been beating optic for years. And at the end of the day aches was on C9 too. Optic keeps taking players from aches team. Only old players will remember but scumps emergence was when he was teamed with Aches, teep, and fears on LvG. It’s always a grudge match facing your old teammate.

In WW2 if I remember right they placed second before and had championship caliber players like silly and apathy. Also OG dynasty was broken. 2015 and 2016 champs were my favorites wins of him over optic.

Aches upsetting everyone in cod champs 2018 Subliners had a big upset against Theives in vanguard major 5 winners finals but they did lose to them in the grand finals rematch- Cod champs 2019 where NV were taken out by Units and Sicario in bracket play Toronto ultra (final home series of MW 2020) upsetting faze in the grand finals That one vanguard major that spart won last year lol Florida mutineers taking an absolute dump on faze in two home series grand finals in a row of MW 2020

I would say that even though it deserves only an honorable mention, Ultra's victory over FaZe in CW Major 2 feels like it was a pretty big upset. Only a few people picked Toronto to win pre-tournament, they'd just brought in Insight for Methodz after only getting top 8 in major 1, and they had to make the run through losers bracket after losing 3-1 to FaZe earlier in the tournament

Honestly one of the more recent examples I can find has to be thieves vs optic on major 3 In vanguard. They showed potential to be great in the Proam, but to see Kenny get hyped and turn his season around in the Berlin hardpoint vs optic was when I think the key turning point occurred for their season. Up till that point I didn’t see that team getting anywhere

Vanguard: Røkkr 3-0 Faze, worst, beating them on a Bocage S&D which was one of Faze's best maps in any mode Still on Vanguard: LA Guerillas beating Faze in major 2 finals. We all know Guerillas were not the favourites in that match up. Cinderella story run yes but they were not favourites to win that match
