I agree that sounds like pretty much every bulls fan, but I disagree that that wasn't a season to be proud of for the Warriors. I personally disagree with the notion that the only mark of a good season is a championship win. I'd way rather see my home team kick ass in the regular season and win 3 straight playoff series before loosing in a competitive and exciting finals match than to see my team be like the Charlotte Bobcats winning less than 10 games and being the worst team in the league. Obviously you want to see your team win it all, but I still don't think the 2016 season was anything to complain about if you were a Warriors fan. Other than the Cavs maybe, every other team had a more disappointing season than Golden State that year.
@@goldwerewolf8651 well at the end of the end of the day he was the finals mvp you could have remove klay and they would probably still won the title or even draymond to an extent
@@bazzadenmohaned4160 nahhh they where two superteams fight each other. Yes, warriors where better, but still they both where with eazz the best of their conference.
The 2011 Dallas Mavericks playoffs performance is, to this day, underrated : swept the Lakers, beat two big three in OKC and Miami! Rick Carlisle's defensive scheme was phenomenal... Dallas' centers (Chandler & Haywood) were bending the three defensive second rule nearly to perfection against Los Angeles & Miami. They were zoning incredibly well. Also, Dirk Nowitzki on offense. What else can I say?
Uh okc wasn't a big three as James harden was a 6th man. Sweeping the lakers when the roster of lakers and mavs weren't even that different and they didn't bend the 3 second rule no they broke it multiple times without a call. And also beating the heat shouldn't be considered as great as it was because chemistry exists and putting 3 stars on one team with 1 ball doesn't automatically just win you a ring if they all want the ball but they did have a great run. But a run that was far far greater was hakeem's 2 rings and the 1969s celetics
@@universalplayz7496 Nice try, except that Mavs weren't even considered a threat let alone considered by many to get to the finals. Funny how the Spurs, Celtics, and the Bulls and even the Lakers and young OKC were seen to get beaten by the Heat and these five teams were even considered better teams than Mavs in a playoff series but now Mavs winning against the Heat which were favorites to win against those five teams isn't great now and we're also now bringing in "chemistry" issues? 🤣
1995 Houston, 6th seed in the west with a 47-35 record 3-2 over 3rd seed jazz with 60-22 record, after losing the first 2 games of the series 4-3 over 2nd seed suns with 59-23 record, after down 1-3 in the first 4 games 4-2 over 1st seed San Antonio spurs with 62-20 record, and 3-0 in San Antonio in that series 4-0 over Orlando magic with 57-25 record, greatest underdog win in history of nba
The chicago bulls are not an upset. They Just got unlucky after drose had that acl injury and since he was there only truly offensive juggernaut, They couldn't progress to the playoffs so it is safe to say that they are more a what if team rather than an upset
5:00 2011 Memphis Grizzlies defeat the Memphis Grizzlies, 4-2. Then shows Kawhi Leonard wearing a Spurs Jersey. Man, he's not yet an NBA player during that time.
@@georgeidan5414 don't make any excuses we all known that the bulls would've won the series if DRose wasn't injured and I don't care if your a sixers fan

Random but that 2011 mavs starters were I think all over 30! Meanwhile prime lebron wade and bosh were at the peak of their powers it was unfair, unreal. That was the biggest upset next to Sonics vs nuggets
Lmao bosh was not at his peak and I will not say dwade kinda was but his knees were fucked. Lebron though I agree he was in his peak(not necessarily as he got better each year). But I will give credit here it’s due. But I don’t like how people think that mavs team were so bad. The mavs were always a solid team.
Those 2000's pistons teams are soooooo criminally disrespected i mean they had 4 legit multiple multiple time all-stars and a real borderline all star every year in tayshaun prince not to mention former multiple time allstar antonio mcdeyss off the bench
I thought the upset by the Rockets against Lakers in 1986 playoffs were even huge than the 1981. 1986 Rockers vs Lakers deserve the honorable mention imo
I wouldn't consider the Cavs beating the Warriors an upset victory. The Cavs had the Warriors down 2-1 the previous finals and that's while being crippled with injuries and having to play third string players. Unfortunately the Cavs had a couple fools as their primary players in Kyrie and Lebron and really never reached their potential.
The Warriors won 73 games and were the overwhelming favorite. The Cavs were not seemingly on the same level as the Warriors like they were the year before and weren't expected to do anything against them in 2016. No one expected that comeback to happen. That certainly was an upset.
Why you tryna downplay the Mavs? They had great team defense and a great shooting rhythm not to mention the swept Kobe’s lakers that just won back to back chips.

You missed 1991 WCF, LA Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers. Okay, so this was the third seed beating the first seed which happens all the time and so might not qualify as much of an upset to most people... but it sure was upsetting to me! :D
Top 10 Most Devastating Losses in NBA History: 5. San Antonio Spurs (2013 NBA Finals) 4. Boston Celtics (2010 NBA Finals) 3. Golden State Warriors (2016 NBA Finals) 2. Utah Jazz (1998 NBA Finals) 1. Sacramento Kings (2002 Western Conference Finals)
2007 Golden State Warriors 8th seed beat a 66-16 #1 seed Dallas Mavericks 4-2 first round of the playoffs still has to be the greatest playoffs upset ever
For me it wasn’t really an upset anymore since without the Warriors having their healthy superstars, the Raptors weren’t really a worse team on paper by that point because the rest of the Warriors roster was dreadful
According to the sports book odds Dallas Mavericks is the second largest underdog in NBA finals history to win in 2011 at +2000, Detroit at 4th at +1500 and GSW at +2800
@@paidopinions2168 I'm a mavs fan and I know that 2011 roster like the back of my hand and I also know they were all over 30 except Chandle.r so if we say they were equal than prime LeBron Wade and bosh are equal to a bunch of senior citizens and the heat also had a underrated roster
Ppl will swear 2011 is such a hard choke job but even Mark Cuban admitted that it was mostly the funnel zone they played against Bron where he was forced to take 3 pointers and outside shots which he was not very good at compared to driving where he'd be met by Tyson Chandler a dpoy Bron made the right moves his team had no depth or spacing so he passes it out you can go look at the vid also the Mavs were 1 superstar and tons of near star caliber players
2016 finals was not an upset. They were on paper evenly matched that year. It wasn't until they got Durant is when they became big underdogs. Now if that happened in 2017 or 2018 I would agree.
I mean the 2016 finals was a big upset because GSW had the best record in the regular season and somehow let LeBron and Kyrie tear them a new one in games 6 and 7
@@Braylon1997 They were healthy the Cavs. Golden State was not. Curry was injured and his play suffered because of it and I think Klay was too but I could be wrong about that. Plus the officiating was awful on top of that.
@@Braylon1997 Just because he played through the injuries doesn't mean he was the same player and impact on the team. He struggled shooting the ball. If he were healthy it would been closer some of the games in that series. I think Golden State would of won in 7. That was big enough difference even if wasn't much.
Who would win 3 superstars who have one of the best players in the world with a great sg and a great pf OR An unathletic Blondie euro boi who has a wayyy outta his prime Jason Kidd and also a 5'11 point guard who is preetty good for shooting threes
The 2015 - 16 Cleveland Cavaliers kept the 1995 - 96 Chicago Bulls 72 - 10 Legacy intact. For that, I thank the Cavaliers. Who would've thought? Jordan's biggest foe, Cleveland, actually saves Michael Jordan's legacy.
Love the content so hopefully this doesn't come across too critical. I wanted to say it's funny that at 8:07 it's stated Ben Wallace defended Shaq brilliantly when Shaq shot 63% from the field and scored 26.6 points per game. I guess Shaq is just that good.
A win by a team of with LeBron and Kyrie in it can’t be considered as a big upset. It is an upset for sure, the warriors were the favourites, but talent wise, the two teams were actually quite close
