Hot damn, back in my college days bought a midgrade DD 16 for about $10, then eventually got it signed by both John Romita and Stan Lee at SDCC! Still one of my most prized possessions, and meeting those two legends in the process, priceless!
Awesome as always. Wondering if its hard for you guys to sell your books to buy others and how you choose what you keep? Thanks for all the caliente goodness
Silver Surfer #4 is my favorite comic book cover ever. It’s like you can feel the impact coming between Thor and the Surfer. A beautiful, powerful over by “Big” John Buscema.
That Silver Surfer #4 cover has been my most favorite iconic cover of all time to me. Can't afford it but I hold onto my Fantasy Masterpieces reprint of it.
my brother picked up a a 9.2 Avengers 62 a few months ago, and was a little down when it was announced that M'Baku wasn't going to be the next panther. He's feeling pretty good about it now.
Great video and I’m happy to see you included WWBN 32 even though it’s not a record breaker. I think you should do this more often. By ignoring the huge spike in prices across the board earlier this year, we can get a better picture of what is increasing, even if it doesn’t hit the crazy highs from that spike.
Always love listening to the top 10 of the week you guys are awesome. Anyway I did mention the biggest move or had to be tales of suspense 39 8.5 which sold for $120,000 last week on comic link. I don’t think you guys talked about that but you did talk about amazing fantasy 15 4.5 which sold for $84,000. I am so happy I kept both of these books I have a 6.0 of amazing fantasy 15 I told you that before I only paid $4000 years ago and I have the tales of suspense 39 8.5 which I only paid $5300.
Found your channel a couple of days ago I’ve been binge watching your videos and enjoy them very much will continue to watch love the content very good job keep up the good work see you in the next video hope to have a shot at the comic book give aways. Jeff from VA.
Has anyone ever had a comic graded at a convention? How long does it take, do they slab it right there in front of you? CBCS was at a convention here the other day, I wasn’t able to go, but was curious.
No Marvel comics in stores this week to speculate. OK if they are going to upgrade paper quality on covers/back covers and put, install,? staples in the printing process as it should be. Will see. Who's in charge of total quality of printed comics in Marvel? Please, make an episode on this issue.
8 out of 10, not to shabby. Thank you guys for keeping the community informed. Your like Wizard magazine exposed to Gamma Rays. 💥SHOW ME, SMASHING RECORDS 💥
Lots of great books on this week's list, I wonder if the FF annual #1 will ever catch ASM annual #1, which is going for about 4-5 times as much right now due to Sinister Six interest. It is an older book and harder to find in VF or better... One sale that won't show up anywhere but in this comment, we just sold a high-grade Avengers #62 off the wall for $900 cash, no discount! Mmmm'Baku...!
I just started collecting comics again after 25 years. I was lucky to have found a error Batman Vol 2, 19A. When opening to page 3-4, this opens to 3-6 with pages 4-5 are at the back of the book. I know this is just a error in stapling, but Is it something worth having graded? The book may press out to a 9.6/9.8, me guessing from what y’all talk about in grading.
I really haven't watched any of the comictom podcast episodes just a few clips from time to time, bc youtube recommends them, but from the very little I've watched this channel is more interested in comic books as investments right? i don't see a lot of love of them for their art or story, i know tom is a comic book fan but his channel doesn't seem to cover that, but it's nice to know from time to time what books are getting a little bit too expensive. Again SS #4 is a low distribution book back in the 60's marvel missed a deadline, so not many copy's were sold outside of their regular distribution that's why this book is very rare plus the cover alone makes anyone's top ten comic books, so keep that in mind when you ask yourselves "why is this book being sold for so much more than SS #3 ?" bc low distribution + amazing cover + second appearence + fights and a thicker book more pages than a regular comic book= a lot of money for this book.
I almost got that avengers book but ended up passing on it and buying Doctor Strange 169 instead. Didn't even know that M'Baku was rumored to be the new black panther
I hope so because Captain Marvel, Black Widow and Eternals are not doing it for me. I fell asleep during Shang Chi. Get it on with Dr. STRANGE and the horror-themed characters.
I don't get how a wbn32 9.4 can be over 5 figures for a character that's only getting a tv show but a Shang chi mse 15 which is much harder to get that black cover in over 9 sells for barely over 2k and he's got an amazing movie, a team member of the new avengers and a much brighter future, wbn32 is way over priced imo
