This is why I got the ancient horse bridle and ancient horse saddle.... you whistle anywhere and the horse wearing it, so long as it's outside the stable, will teleport to you in horse approved areas.
I am sad that this set didnt make it into TotK... or a zonai set for the horse, that wouldve been awesome! Just imagine a horse gear with horns for the head and dragon spikes on the back (except for where the saddle is of course, we wouldnt want to Impale our hero lol)
speedrunning drama is literally just "hypercock69 used the banned peepoo skip, only available on the n64 by punching the cartridge, making it unfair for virtual console users. this was called out by epicmtdick420 who showed evidence that hypercock's run was 5 frames faster than one that didn't use the infamous skip"
Then there's "I played on unmodified donkey kong arcade cabinet." while the background video shows them loading up a donkey kong jr motherboard into a donkey kong arcade cabinet.
I do love to ride around on horses. Cuz they have personality and (on land) are still the fastest transport option. Whats a Zelda game without a horse? Epona is like a mascot at this point lol
You hit the nail on the head when talking about GDQ. That's exactly why I enjoy watching GDQ/SGDQ runs, to listen to the runner share their passion and expertise~
I have no problem with Amiibos mostly because of Amiibo emulators (and well, I know so many people who made fake amiibo to get the Villagers they want in AC). And the newest one allows to even randomize id of the amiibo, to scan it as many times I got it for Animal Crossing too... And it also allows me to have up to 50 Amiibos with save function. Like a Amiibo fighters for Smash And I'd say it's kinda fair to use something like that if the alternative is to buy 20 of the same Amiibo just to be able to compete in the category
someone should get this man a real horse (rent it but pretend they just dropped it on him) and say "here, now the horse can't leave ya link!" (sorry if this is dumb)
You saying you dont wanna grind is exactly why every single level based game like pokon and fire emblem (that ive beaten before) i will use cheats for fast levels because i dont wanna spend hours grinding my units
This is probably an incredibly stupid suggestion, especially considering this video already spoiled you, but maybe you should check out the GDQ Triforce% run.
Can we make lagrunning a category? You have to "speedrun" the game while taking as long as possible. Every action MUST be making progression through the main story (no stalling).
I think that could be very complicated. What would be considered Stalling? If you use the duplicate glitch and create, lets say, 7 diamonds although you only use 6, is it stalling? I know you don't need diamonds in the speedrun, its just an example
@@GarroshTV In that case since only 6 diamonds are needed: if the 7th came with the 6th then yes that's fine, but if you went for a 7th after getting a 6th than that would be "stalling the speedrun" (considered the same as getting a 30th after getting the 6th). Yes, would be a complex category as you need full knowledge of a speedrun. Games where there is a linear story (ex: most LoZ & Mario games) would work better than an open option game with an end goal (ex: Minecraft & somewhat BotW).
@@GarroshTV This is somewhat a "glitchless Low%" speedrun but slow. A good example is OoT. There are glitches to make completing the game go faster, but are not necessary to progress. So the "intended way" may be the most optimal path. As well there are extra items you do not need (Farore's wind, Fire/Ice Arrows, 3 of the 4 bottles, capacity upgrades, EVEN EPONA!!!).
The ACE exhibit was an 100% original and no modifications were done before they started ACE is just that insane when it comes to what you can do with it. They used controller inputs to write Assembly code, which then ran. Eventualy they wrote programs that made it so the controller inputs were data which they they used to send packets instead of code themselves. Which is what was used to get everything in the run Nothing was done that wasn't theoretically possible for a human, though the human would have to be superhumanly fast.
MorePatterrz, you can make the horse like you faster just by dropping a few apples on the ground for them so it will completely listen to you when riding and you dont have to go through the painful process of soothing them.
N64 can handle pre-rendered cutscenes. It could play RE 2 after all. Sure, they were crunched down a bit as well as the quality of the games backgrounds. But all of RE 2 did fit on an N64 cart.
The thing is the ACE part seems more like what ACE can do, than actually what was hidden or partially removed from OoT. It's amazing that using that software and the dedication you can basically add mods to old games on original hardware of which upto now was seemingly impossible without removing the original hardware and using an emulator.
In breath of the wild I only started using a horse after I got the ancient bridle and saddle. I'm more than a little upset it didn't make it into tears of the kingdom. Because there are times where I would really just not want to waste Zone eye devices when I can go a little ways on a horse.
I believe the IQ original run was low like 100k and flopped pretty quick either just before a second run or a low ~3k and by the video it had been 15 years and tech fall down and wear out causing supply to drop. It is also difficult to replicate the system since there is no blueprint easily accessible.
Patterzzz, I legit breed everything, I won't even use another person's competitively bred pokemon, just because I have no way of knowing it was legitimately bred and am even willing to breed them for friends, but I am 100% okay with people who hack pokemon into their games, because at the end of the day, during the actual battles, there's no actual difference besides I was able to find the time to breed all my mons and maybe they weren't... Bullying people out of the community for not wanting to deal with RNG is such a stupid thing to do, why would you want less people to play with?... Imo, they SHOULDN'T bring hacked mons to official tournaments, because, well, imo, you should follow the rules, plus I love the EV/IV system...But I'd rather people who hacked their mons be there than a much smaller turnout... I think it's super fucking annoying when I see people bitching about people who hack pokemon without breaking the in-game legalities...They have good intentions, sometimes (Not Verlisify, if he had good intentions, he wouldn't waste his time reporting people who hack their Animal Crossing Dream Addresses), but they need to step off if they spend more than a few minutes trying to figure out if somebody cheated and they aren't paid to do so...
I know it's your opinion of course and is obviously valid, but don't you shiny hunt Pokemon. Isn't that even worse than making a competitive team, and all you get out of that is simply a Pokemon with a different paint job.
Oh pat don't argue in favor of cheaters in something like pokemon. But pat. Runner didn't need to do any of that crap your are using as an argument against him. He just needed to have a friend. You really going to punish people for being social?
1:50 i know this one, the cutscenrs rubble is random ehich causes difference in lag inside the svene whoch adds or removes time randomly. im sure you know this since its a vid not a future stream😂
In Breath of the Wild Horses are especially useless since you get a motorcycle which is faster and controls better. Plus you don’t have to worry about its death
I hate ocarina of time ace, I understand why they keep it but the runs are way less interesting now that over half the run is cutscenes and the other half is arbitrarily throwing rocks and unloading them, the best oot route imo was when they had to clip out of kokiri forest to get a bottle, but glitching a bottle into the inventory was also fine. Ace is short but it's incredibly boring to watch and play.
Badabun wasn't the fastest SMB player he stitched together a whole bunch of bits of various runs including bits from what was at the time the legit fastest run and tried to pass it off as his own, Karl Jobst has a video on it.
Well as someone who only pirates things when I can't find it legally for at least OK price. Actually kind of agree with nintendo far too many people are more than happy to just steal a bunch of games And act like nobody's getting hurt. You Might not be able to personally see the damage you're doing but you are hurting these people when you pirate stuff. When I say these people I don't mean the corporation itself I mean there are workers who did nothing wrong. And I'll just go ahead and say I'm glad I had dolphin before they decided to get rid of it. Because as far as I can tell it is the only way to play a lot of older nintendo games now.
@@RiverbuiOh OK, I didn't know that all the better then. Because the thing about it is is I'm more than willing to buy a remake as long as it's well made. Like that new advanced wars that came out for the switch that was a port of the 1st 2 gameboy games... I really like those games on the gameboy and a switch port is very good the problem is a change in art style isn't worth the price in my opinion.
Patterz, thank you so much for your viewpoint on genning Pokemon. No one should really give a shit these days with all the available software to just build competitive versions of our favorites Also, I bought a book of NFC cards for BotW and it only cost me $15 for all 24
Am I the only one that feels like TOTK's base game plays like Master Mode? And the horses definitely buck more? (I had one with 100% bond, and STILL had to soothe it 5 times within 3 minutes.......IN A TOWN.)
The created Pokémon argument is logistically impossible if you view it from an administrative viewpoint. If it were allowed, then it would be easily abusable while massively bloating verification and authentication efforts. Sure, the honest people will just make their funny shiny Dragonite with legitimate stat distribution. However, there’s nothing stopping a ne’erdowell from modifying that same Dragonite from having an extra few points to their speed to never speed tie or a little extra HP to make the difference between being fair to being unstoppable. So each Pokémon on every team needs to be double checked that each Pokémon has entirely legal stats. Which online competitive, that means developing a full system to verify Pokémon before it being allowed by picking at each number without false positives or any such thing. For in person competitive, that means people picking at each person’s console and hand confirming everything. It’s way too much work for something that doesn’t actually benefit the Pokémon company or competitive tournament holders.
Honestly I had trouble with horses until i just didn't tame a horse with wild temperament. They will automatically follow roads you don't need to steer at all unless you go offroad
@@MorePatterrz What I said. Your rants about the competitive scene and horses in Tears of the Kingdom weren't needed, for example, and just made the viewing of this video less enjoyable.
You need to calm down. Seriously. I can’t be the only one who is tired of this. You’re constantly at a 19/10 and the people that enjoy your content would almost all rather you be at like a 7/10. Please stop. Calm down. Deep breathe. Calm down. I’m positive you’d draw in so many more subscribers if you just took a deep breathe and relaxed.
