Great info. Bimetallic was the debasement of the money. You can see it in the UK from 1920 up to 1970. That was the end of the 1000 year old system we had been on. Your volume is too low. Edit: all our coins are bimetallic now. They have steel cores with copper or nickel plating. The £1 and £2 coins are bimetallic as well but the outter is a different metal than the centre. The history of money should be taught in schools.
