very clean for a sunday. all of the bins were empty. however still some grotty buggers who love to dump crap everywhere. (sadly the synth was not a freak happening!) i love bins. bins are another part of the infrastructure that don't get enough love. infrastructure is the stuff no ones celebrates or talks about until its broken, start talking about it when its working!

Well, from the looks of the vid, the bins can only do as much as the monkeys who (don't) use them. Of course, not producing so much throwaway rubbish (unlike MS-series synths) products and thoughtless packaging would make the job of the bins and the sanitation workers and dump managers a lot easier. All the same, celebrating the underappreciated always strikes me as a worthwhile thing to do. Well done.

This reminds me of a dream I once had of finding a gorgeous instrument like this in the trash. In real life, I've found Yamahas and Casios, which I gladly salvaged, but never a Korg. We can only dream.

My town of only 4k people fills a walk-in dumpster with e-waste every couple of weeks. Every week there's a keyboard or two in there. I posted a video of it on my channel.

This is just amazing. Masterfully composed. I could listen all day. Please release an album with extended versions of the Portakosmo songs, starting with Cloud Inversions and Thawing Sequence, and including the recent series of songs. I bet it would be a hit. I also love the tribute to the silent heroes, who keep us from suffocating in our own disgusting waste. Their job is very dangerous yet very important, and we often look down on them, saying to our kids: "keep up your grades, or you will end up like them". I hope this stereotype disappears, because we really do need them, and should appreciate their work more.

I haven't even finished the video but I just wanted to comment because the song and the visuals have stirred up my emotions. I have no clue if that's a particularly expensive synth, but I know most are and all take lots of work to make and just seeing it eventually where it will probably end up- in and amongst all the trash undistinguishable and no more special than anything else was really provoking to me. Beautiful song and the visuals told a wonderful story for the viewer to mangle in their own meaningful ways too. thank you

I always give the Binmen that work in my street some money and boxes of chocolates for Xmas and if I'm home when they go by during the week I always ask if they need some water or something. No Binmen = mess.

Unfortunately, I grew up in a country where such treasures can't even end up in the garbage dump, since they weren't even in circulation - nothing like that (I'm jealous too :D) Seriously, I love your work and appreciate it! Be it instrument making, renovation or even just composing music.

Mine spent most of it's time with me being a stand-in for a drum machine which is no life for a fine little synth. I still miss it, but the bloke I sold it too sends me the odd photograph from time to time, letting me know it's still happy and healthy.
