the fact that the devs that made magnify didnt even think how it limits your ability to use the stats you want is wild to me. The moment they showed magnify in the dev video i instantly noticed that it completely fucks certain build up, like many others noticed as well. Just crazy not a single dev working on it noticed. Its literally their job to work with systems like these.
empowering toast procs off of regen pots, so if you're pre-potting it's great, it was also procing off of eating hearty meals on the PTR and those have no CD so you can theoretically have 100% uptime with empowering toast. endless thirst also only effects health pot CDs so it's a great earring for Damage classes that have a healer. the hearty meal being on the hot bar would have to kick health, regen, cleanse, or gemstone/firepots off, so probably not a good strat in war, but always being able to enter a fight with 10% empower isn't too bad.
Heavy bruiser rocking abyss - few questions. Which bucket does the elemental punishing gems in armor fall in? (Ex: +2% void damage) You shared a ring that gives slash damage, but aren’t most bruisers rocking abyss these days (with a few exceptions of course), making them want to go void instead?
purifying heart is pretty strong when you can use my heartrune in stunmode linke stoneform - do u know if its possible to use f.e. detonate (with puri. heart) when u are stunned ? that would make stoneform little bit obsolate - or no ?
2 Questions: 1) Why is void prot BiS for PvP? Id expected thrust/fire 2) If the base dmg caps often of fire staff i.e. couldnt the fire dmg ring perk end up being useless? What about Burning as alternative?
@@mecr0w Maybe its all incoming healing, shirking heals count as incoming healing. So health pots and such things should count, and maybe lifestealing also
I wonder if magnify was their take on "this can be whatever perk you want" . If that's the case they should simply add a mechanic where you get the item, take it to Gyspum Kiln, and put the corresponding craft mod with your desired attribute on it. Seems a bit less restricting but still accomplishes what I think their intention was with this.
it reads as if it procs on outgoing effects on allies. The question will be can you be an ally of yourself (if that makes sense). I assume you cannot so it'll really only be good on healers with clap healing I think?
It doesn’t work w healing breeze bc outgoing heals but I have a vid coming tomorrow going over all the interactions. I just gotta edit it a little bit.
So if i understand correctly what you said, the more base damage your weapon has, the less damage you loose out of the Blooddrinker? So, because GA and WH has the highest base damage, these weapons will loose less damage?
Do you think this is an oversight and pun invig would be reworked then? The charm only drops from pvp tracks and is supposed to be a chase perk. Seems so weird that’s it’s now just completely useless. I’m thinking crippling then on the third perk. Awesome videos, please make one on how specifically the 3 buckets dmg system works!
Been driving me crazy not seeing major content creators bringing attention to magnify. Been spamming this in the new world discord: I’d like to bring to attention the problem with magnify in its current state. Magnify with how it functions artificially creates a cap between the attributes you are specing into. This gap gets wider and wider the more magnify gear you have equipped. It prevents one from spending into the attribute split they ideally want. This becomes a major and game breaking issue. For example with the increased incentive of farming named drops that will be BIS once you change 3rd perk and majority of these having magnify, it is likely a player will have 5-8 pieces of gear with magnify on it. All farmable BIS / near BIS. This much magnify breaks the game and will remove the incentive of farming any good named items and using the new upgrading system with the kilm. This issue can be solved in two ways: 1) Magnify has a drop down on the gear where u select which attribute you want it to use have 2) Magnify simply gives you more attribute points to spec into.
I mean I don't think it's too hard to figure out. AGS is sponsoring content and people are incentivized to not "trash the patch" so to speak. I am not sponsored nor affiliated in any way but avoid speaking about it because from what I've heard they are aware of the issue and are fixing it and instead would rather focus on the benefits and try to grow the community than push for changes right now. If that exists after launch there will be videos made but I think prelaunch people are just trying to hype it up and draw interest back into New World since that will only benefit the game moving forward, even if that design decision was not the best. TL;DR it's an issue but from a content creator perspective hype is better pre launch and negative news is usually better post launch
@@mecr0w Yeah aight so its still aoe, like i read in their patch note. Its just limited at 3 person max. Tbh, i take this as a buff. If you add up lifestealing on weapon, you can get up to 42% lifestealing, and there is this new perk on the ring artifact which give even more lifesteal. I cant wait to abuse this as a bruiser 😎
mortal empowerment is prob the best option if you just want dmg but imo isn't very good unless it's a high frag meta due to it wearing off after 2 minutes
Yes, but, if you keep killing it refreshes. I use it in wars. In the current state, it refeshes all stacks on kill. I just dont know if the damage its actually 2% @@mecr0w
im just going to wait at least one month before craft my own gear i feel it would be some perks getting nerf later i bet health perk would be first to get nerf and others perks too since some perks for weapon looks OP and artifact also would get nerf so yea i will wait until that happens
I've always argued 0 so I'm not the person to ask that question. If you run the artifact named freedom I imagine basically 0 additional freedom due to passive freedom bonus' baked into med/heavy.
So I'm an idiot and forget refreshing toast was 29% reduction at 625 (thought it was 20%)...Are they insane? lul The pot nerfs just encourage ratty, bursty builds. Don't know anyone who thought pots needed to be weaker.
this is great dont get me wrong but something like a script and talking slower would help cause youre making it sound like you dont know what youre talking about by talking fast
Yea that’s why I’ve been trying to use the pen tool I have in my more recent videos more because it slows me down. I’ve never done scripts at uni always doing ideas and talk to ideas because scripts don’t sound natural to me, but I probably should give myself more of a direction in terms of planning.
