I loved seeing this video Amazing Thankyou 👏 It took me back nearly 60 YEARS AGO I worked in the Swan Hotel Seasonal Work Living in as I lived in Durham at the time So Sad to see it made into Let's now It was a Beautiful Hotel And had Lovley Employers I Always thought it was a true story (but you live and learn don't you ) 🙄 but brought back Lovley memories Thankyou x

Yes it is a Shame we are losing our Lovley Hotels That all tell A Story I would have loved maybe to take my Children Grandchildren and Greatgran Children there as it was then and tell them my Experience there I have Subcribed to your Blog as I am Eager to see what other delights you have in store There was another small Pub I worked at before moving to the Swan It was in A Place called Threlkeld I think just going into Keswick called The White Horse Inn it was a pub sold Chicken in the Basket and other Meals Staff stayed in Caravans on the Grounds Bless you 🙏 and Thankyou for the Memories Pet x

You should try carrying on from there right up to the top of Barf, it's a grade 1 rock scramble and very hairy... I thought I was going to die at times!
Before I set off I was talking to one of the people who live in the Swan apartments. He said that the climb to the rock would be ok but not to go further. He mentioned the number of times he had seen the rescue helicopter come to pick people up who tried to scramble past that point! That was enough for me! 😂 Seriously well done for getting up from there. It’s one scary climb. 👍🏻
