Pete, I got my Bite (no pun intended) and I can tell you that the bass, the customer service are also unique, in a very very good way.

Just a minor point. At 7:27, 1000 MV = 1000 megavolt = 1 GV, not 1 Volt. Now that's what I call a high output pickup. 😃

Thanks, this font only has caps, so MV stands for mV :)

It is more than sufficient and it is CLEAR. And the bass... I wouldn't never return it, no way :)

I think most companies are quote DCR because it take out of the equation the mounting, the amount of attack of the strong etc and therefore it is easier to compare one pick up to another. Of course the real output is subject to several factors, attack, pickup height etc etc but non of these are controlable by the pickup manufacturer. So i think being able to compare kOhms is useful

I have a bass (mid-level) but I yanked the factory pickups and installed active EMG pickups. It is a keeper. Other bass players that try it leave theirs and use mine instead because it punches so well. That being said, I would love to put a Bite into my collection and see how it compares. Best wishes on what looks like an excellent bass.

Pickups give you the sound. Type of wood makes the character of a Bass.
