I feel sad for Gus because it looks like his mom could also have ill intended with the meanness look her face gives. Facial expressions are everything it can tell you everything you need to know about someone .

I recognize his type. I work at a high school, and some of our special needs students have the same type of parent. Especially, the father's that resent their namesake because they feel they aren't measuring up. If he feels this way about his own flesh and blood and displays it in a public political form, what does he care about a country of people that are strangers to him?

Has anyone reported this to child services or the police in Chicago? Was Gus checked out? Were there any mandated reporters at the convention? Are there mandated reporting laws in Illinois. People overlook public displays of inappropriate violence toward children. I did not notice Gus behaving badly. i hope this isn't an everyday thing or ever repeated. If there is an investigation in progress. What are the findings? Is the dad in a political situation that no one will touch this?

I mean...hopefully he was just overly excited (his son clearly was also very emotional, in a different way). But if he was actually manhandling his son, he should be removed as a VP candidate, because that's the abuse of a special needs kid and I have NO time for politicians who are okay with abusing disabled people. I sure hope he wasn't abusing his son on a massive stage like that.

I’m 100% conservative and try to be as honest at all times. I don’t think Walz is a good man but what I saw in this video was a father protecting his son from walking into a teleprompter. Maybe I’m wrong. We can’t expect to have a credible reputation if we aren’t honest about all things. Walz does enough to damage his character. Let’s not tarnish our own.
